Soooo creamy! You will not regret! yumi

Best clam chowder we have EVER had. We also got a side salad that was huge, big enough to share. You can sit inside or outside. They have great happy hour discounts. Definitely my favorite restaurant on the boardwalk

Steamers clam was really good, love seafood. The waitress was very friendly. The atmosphere was nice it was more on the quiet side inside and right near the beach which was awesome

    Lobster BLT
    Marni M.

Came with a friend on a a Friday night. There were plenty of seats available for inside and outdoor dinning. After placing an order at the register, your order number is read over the PA system when ready for pick up. Takeout is also offered. A station is set up with any and all items you may need to enjoy the food. My friend had the fried scallop plate with French fries and I ordered the lobster BLT with onion rings. The scallops were so fresh and cooked to perfection. The fries were a great addition whereas the coleslaw was a little bland but still an added crunch factor. The onion ring slices were a little too thick in my opinion, I prefer the onion to batter ratio to be a bit more 50/50. Nonetheless, still decent side to the BLT which was served in buttered, hearty, homemade slices of bread. There was a solid serving of lobster along with evenly distributed bacon, lettuce and tomatoes. Overall, great experience and would like to try more items from their menu in the future. Staff was also friendly and helpful.

We sat in the bar area that connects to the restaurant , the bar tenders were such a nice bunch, we really enjoyed their attempt to make everyone feel comfortable. If your from NY steamers in NH are not what you'd expect to find, they are Long Neck claims and they serve them with hot water to rinse them The other food was great!

    JB's Lobster Bisque

We regularly travel to Hampton Beach for weekends of fun & sun & good food and we always visit JB's. The food is usually great but last night I tried their lobster bisque which was a huge disappointment at $9.95 a bowl. There was a total lack of lobster meat or taste and the bisque was thick like gravy. The food here is usually top notch but pass on the lobster bisque.

We decided to stop in here to grab a quick something to eat while walking the strip. It is located in a very convenient place and had good COVID protocols but the overall experience was lackluster. Food: My partner and I ordered a burger and clam strips with some beignets for dessert. The clam strips were alright and a decent portion for the price. The burger was average nothing phenomenal. I would say my favorite thing was definitely the Beignets. The beignets were fluffy and fresh with powdered sugar. Location: Hampton Beach strip where the old Mcdonalds was. It has indoor and outdoor seating along with a bar. Drinks: We did end up getting alcoholic drinks. I had been told by friends that they make some pretty epic alcoholic beverages here. My partner ordered a Vanilla Frappe and said it was the grossest thing he had drank in a long time. He said that it was watered down and had an odd aftertaste.

Fried clams should not taste like greasy gritty mush. French fries should taste like potatoes not unchanged cooking grease. 9/10's of last night's $26 seafood platter was pure and absolute Shat. More than half of it went into the trash as we left hungry. The 2 stars are only a reflection of last year and this year. Last year JB's looked like it would pull away from the pack of greasy slop shat slinging venues that litter Hampton Beach. The sea food was fresh, the cooks knew what they were doing and they gave large portions. This year the only deal on the menu is the lobster and it's not that great of a deal. The venue itself is a burned out closed McDonalds with no view of the beach. A dump and even the beer was warm. JB's obviously stopped caring about what they serve. What we received was inedible slop. Skip JB's entirely. If you want bad tasting food cooked in grease that has not been changed for a week or so go to one of the other places that at least has a view and whose clams do not resemble oatmeal. By unanimous consent, issues immediately after starting to eat the particle board like haddock and gritty oatmeal like fried clams and grease sponge like fries - my crew will not return.

    Lobster roll

I am not the kind of person to often write reviews but this restaurant has touched me so much as a person and I was so moved that I had to say something. I'll cut right to the chase... GET THE LOBSTER ROLL. JUST. GET. IT. I am a firm believer that the Maine-style, cold, lobster roll is the only morally correct one to choose, so I cannot attest to their hot roll option. The lobster roll was the best one I've ever had in my life. I would confidently call myself a lobster roll connoisseur, having lived in New England my entire life and traveling up and down the entire coast trying rolls from all different places. Not only did this roll outside all the others by a landslide, but they also jam pack it full of lobster meat! I don't know how to explain how astonished I am with the taste and quality of the dining experience I just had, and only for $27! I wanted to barge into the kitchen and personally thank the chef's parents for giving birth to an angel. There is no other explanation other than this restaurant has been kissed by the tears of god, and has restored my faith in humanity. Thank you JB's for such a life changing experience!

    Scallops and whole clam "boat"
    Eric D.

Looks like this place just opened. Wife and I had the scallop and whole clam "boat" which is their medium size. Portions we felt could be a bit larger but I guess you can order their larger size. Seafood tasted pretty fresh and the fried items we thought tasted average. Fun fact. This location is where the old McDonalds use to be. Cool that they have both indoor and outdoor seating. Cheers

Seafood platter (half eaten), chowder, clam strips and box of shrimp
    Kris D.

I'm from the cape and can be a seafood snob. This place did NOT disappoint! We went with the chowder (perfectly thickened, not watery and several large clams), a seafood platter (clams, haddock, scallops, cole slaw, fries AND onion rings) and a box of shrimp all to split. The food was fresh, delicious and plentiful (the pic was taken after we devoured the haddock and scallops). We had enough leftovers for lunch the next day. Service was fantastic and fast with a casual atmosphere. We didn't realize the platter came with full belly clams (which we hate) rather than clam strips and they quickly served us a full box of strips on the side and let us keep the full bellies anyway without any questions. The prices were low considering we left super full and had lunches leftover for a total of $55. This will be our go to dinner spot when we return!

Clams and Scallops weren't that great. Oysters weren't fresh. Burger was passable but really needed a sauce. Good fries, though.

Very good fried scallops, fish and calmari! Prices reasonable for a tourist area, with decent portions. Coleslaw is also surprisingly good.

This was a nice changeup with casual comfort food. Think pizza, burgers and the like. The dining room is nice, open air out front with outside tables, a big bar and a fun surfer/beach theme. The hostess first tried to bring us to the far back corner of the restaurant and I knew we would not like feeling so isolated from the rest of the diners, so we asked if we could sit elsewhere, and she was quite agreeable. I had my eye on their Mai Tai with a honey foam top, which brought me right back to Hawaii where MonkeyPod restaurant does a similar rendition with a lilikoi foam topping. Point Break served a tasty and potent version. We didn't order apps, but my Mac & Cheese was very good. Seemed that everybody was very happy with their food as well. Fried haddock, pulled pork and a nice salad. Our server was great, and quickly handled one mistake (a full dinner was served instead of a sandwich, and so he brought out the fries which came with the sandwich). Perhaps the only real negative is parking, which is tricky at the south end of Hampton Beach. There is plenty of resident parking nearby, but otherwise you might have to walk a bit to get to a paid parking spot or lot. Give them a try! We don't visit this part of the beach often and rarely for dinner, but we might make an exception to try this spot again.
