A few things I'm disappointed about from my experience here. Brought in a vintage cashmere sweater asking for two buttons to be sewed back on. I came back to a shrunken sweater after they washed/dried it:( Next few days button came off. Left with a sweater too small for me and the same button missing as before I walked in. I came here to get my wedding dress altered and I am still in disbelief over the whole experience. I had a tailor take in a hem for a bridesmaid's dress a few months ago, and it cost a pretty penny. I decided to look around for a different place, and came here. When they told me the price to alter my wedding dress, I almost fell over. It was such a great price, for the amount of work they did. I was really expecting it to be double the cost, after what a different tailor told me for just a hem. My dress honestly looked like a new dress, it fit perfectly and they did such amazing work. brought in a bridesmaid dress for an upcoming wedding i'm in. I called this morning because my pickup slip said "5pm" wanting to confirm if that meant before or after 5pm. when I called they seemed like my dress was lost or unfinished. I told them I needed to pick it up today (as I told them when I dropped it off) due to work schedule/wedding schedule and their open hours. I picked up my dress, they didn't ask if I wanted to try it on or anything simply rushed me out and asked for the other half of my payment. they were also supposed to insert bra strap clips so my bra straps would not show at the wedding and they are not on the dress. they are rather expensive for a hem and to have the straps taken in. read more

Incredible service! They restored my grandfather's old hat and did just a perfect job. After the tailoring and cleaning the hat looked brand new. The new lining matched perfectly with the flannel colors. They also tailored it to my size and it fit like a glove. The quality of their work far exceed the price. I brought 4 men's suits to Josefina at JC Tailors in Hanson in September, and she did a phenomenal job on very short notice (2 weeks). The suits required significant alterations -- letting the jackets out, letting the pants out and shortening the pant legs -- the suits are as good as new now! I brought my wedding dress here after it arrived later than expected and another place wasn't able to take mine in on a tighter timeline and the ladies at JC so nicely took me in (first alterations being the same day!). They ended up taking in most of my family for their alterations for my wedding and we can't thank them enough for their flexibility and willingness to help. I rarely use dry cleaning services but I inherited some top of the line little girls dress coats and wanted to be sure they were being handled properly. On bringing them in to this cleaners I was Immediately treated as a leper as the attendant got a mask and gloves to handle my jackets! As another attendant joined him they proceeded to talk about me in another language after which they decided to tell me to take my business elsewhere.... I'm not sure what it is about me that they found so offensive, but they have definitely lost future business for being so rude!!! read more

This place was an absolute life saver. I went there a week before my best friend's wedding with my bridesmaid stress (I know last minute) but the original bridal shop in Andover was a rip off and a night mare so I didn't want to go there. So I needed straps put on the dress and also a bunch of the extra length taken up. The woman who I unfortunately didn't get the name of but believe she is the owner was so wonderful and accommodating. I felt totally safe leaving the dress in her hands. The best part was that she didn't charge me a rush fee even though I needed it so quickly. Beautiful work and the dress looks great. If you are ever in a pickle or need something fixed up, I highly recommend. My boyfriend got his pocket of his suit fixed as well and it was very inexpensive. read more

Stitch'n Time is a rare find in this day and age. The young ladies who work at the front are so sweet and nice... they even have candy out and a comfy couch while you are waiting. The tailor, Susan (who I believe is the owner) is a wonderful person who really cares about her business and her customers. I needed some baseball pants hemmed for my nephew in a pinch due to his mom being in the hospital. I called ahead and she we set up a time for me to come in and have them hemmed right there on the spot. She sent us away with a smile, a lollipop for my son and nephew and a hug. I'll tell you - they won me over! You guys have ALL my business and all my referrals from now on. In fact, I'm heading over with both dry cleaning and tailoring items this afternoon. Very poor customer support! Don't let them ruin your clothes. Stitch'n Time ruined my $135 like new Joseph A. Bank tux shirt and would give no satisfaction. Told me to go to Jos. A. Bank even though they caused the damage. This was a long sleeved dress shirt that I picked up in July, and they said it was too long ago to make a claim. Ridiculous. I had no need to wear my tux shirt in July & August. This is not an excessive amount of time. read more
