Don't do business with this company. Or 3 day blinds! Terrible experience. I had to haggle 3 day blinds to get a reasonable price. Why should I have to haggle? It felt like they were trying to rip me off. The installation company gave me a four hour window (9-1). I called the night before to see if I'm first or last in the line up. He told me I was first. The blinds were for my elderly aunt who lives alone. I went to her house first thing in the morning and they didn't show up until 12:15pm. He said he had to drive far to pick the blinds up. I know he already had the blinds because we had to reschedule a previous installation appointment because they were too late. He picked up the blinds then. We ordered window treatments from 3 Day Blinds and, unfortunately, JC Installations has handled most of the project. The first problem was when JC showed up to measure the windows. The guy didn't read the paperwork carefully and failed to measure all the windows. Then, when JC came to install the blinds, they failed to bring all the materials with them and didn't install blinds on three windows, which we had paid for. Each time the person rushed out the door rather than explain the reasons for the mistake. This is an irresponsible company that doesn't pay attention to details. We're so exhausted by the constant need to clean up their mistakes. Don't order from 3 Day Blinds if JC is involved in installation. read more

This has quite possibly been the worst business experience I have ever witnessed. 3 day blinds is more like 3 month blinds. Almost 1 month ago a worker from Jc instillation came to pick up the 3 blinds that needed repairing. Now 3 weeks and counting my teenage daughters have had no privacy from their windows. I have left several messages and talked to multiple (all equally as unhelpful) employees. I just tried to call again and upon me answering after the long wait to reach an operator of some kind, I said hello and they hung up on me immediately. Do yourself a favor and order from someone other than 3 day blinds. Terrible customer service at both the installer and 3 day. Ordered our blinds in April and after multiple emails and calls finally got someone on the phone today 7/14 that said they were shipped 7/8 and would be here by 7/20 but had no tracking number. Weird how they know when it will be here with no tracking number. That didn't sit well with me so I had them open a case to find out the installer (JC) allegedly called 7th 9th and 12th but we didn't pick up and they didn't leave a vm. A normal business would have left a vm LIKE THEY DID TODAY after I called 3 day blinds to to find out where our blinds were. Now I have to wait yet another 10 days to install. And when I asked why they didn't leave a vm if they called they said they'd have to ask their supervisor if a massage was left. This isn't a debate. I know they didn't cause I wasted 2 hours today with 3 day blinds trying to find out where they were. They were probably too busy and sat on this until we called and forced them to acknowledge the installation. Do not use either of these places. After submitting Our minimum installation charge is $100 we quoted you for the installation of 4 standard roller shades. When the installer got there he had to install motorized roller shades which are priced at $35.00 each therefore the extra charge and for which you signed our invoice approving this charge. Our warranty only covers installation issues and the flaw on the material in one of the blinds was not covered. A trip back would have been $85; 50% was waived because of the complaint on damages. The work done by the installer actually sums up $180.00 considering that the new motorized roller shades came in with dust covers and the installer had to remove the existing shades ($40.00) + install and program the new ones ($140.00) wasting 3 hours of his time. It's a shame that people like you try to take advantage of small businesses and hardworking people to save a couple dollars, do send a check for the $42.50 to finalized this transaction. I responded to all questions regarding my windows and roller shades. You should not tell people a price for installation but charge another higher price. This can be considered a bait and switch technique. I expect companies to back the price they choose to quote. The damages to my condo unit on the first installation far surpass the price of the combined installations. I would like to commend the second installer. He did a great job and I was his assistant. The contract also states that the installation was a two man job and your company only sent one man. I gave you an opportunity to avoid BBB complaints but you did not take it. In December 2012 and for the second time in 10 years I purchased window treatments through 3 Day Blind in Los Angeles, CA, however because of fraying fabric, puckering fabric and faulty installation 3 Day agreed to provide new ones. 3 Day outsources installation to JC Installation and my experience with JC has been atrocious, customer service does not exist at JC Installation. First, JC Installation does not confirm installation times. Two weeks ago I was scheduled to have an installation and needed to reschedule, working through the 3 Day Blind office communication to the installer took place. Today my scheduled installation was to take place between 9 - 11am. At 10:48a the installer called and at 10:55am he called again, my phone was in another location and I didn't hear it so the installer left. At 10:59 I received a call from the Corporate Office and at 11:01am I returned the call to the Corporate Office. To my frustration and disappointment the installer left and "could not be reached." In speaking with Desha at 3 Day I asked that he be contacted and return for the installation, after all it was 11:05am, I was told he's probably gone to his next job but no one actually spoke with him. Really? Would you believe this? Today's experience with JC Installation was shady. I called 3 Day Customer Service to try and contact the installer since less than 30 mins. had passed from the time he first rang my phone. Again JC told 3 Day that the installer had gone to his next job but wasn't answering his phone. The gentleman provided me with JC Installation's phone 888-473-6816 to discuss with them the problem and find out their agreement with 3 Day for working with customers, after leaving 6 messages and no response this is a number given to customers so they can be avoided. I did some research on JC and none of the JC Installation phone numbers listed for them on websites were accurate. A reliable company? Today's debacle is a reflection of 3 Day Blind. Since filing Chapter 11 in 2006 3 Day has improved their customer service however their lack of attention to their outsourced businesses has lost a customer. read more

After reading the previous two ratings on JC installation I was very skeptical about using 3 Day Blinds as they contract out to JC installation, since whether the shades look good or not is mostly in the installation. Because 3-Day Blinds were so good with their customer service I decided to give it a try. I requested to have Juan Carlos from JC installation who is the owner to install my shades. He came twice. Once to install the Hunter Douglas top down bottom up and the second time to install the Hunter Douglas skylne. He did a great job both times and he gave me 3 poles free used to bring down or up my cordless shades. The crew he brought were very professional. The two reviews below are accurate about the lack of follow-up from their office when it comes to scheduling. I found that it's easiest just going through 3-Day Blinds to get everything scheduled. 3-Day Blinds made sure that I got a confirmation phone call for my installation. read more

This review is for JC Installations located on 1866 169th Unit D, Gardena CA 90247. This is a pathetic operation that 3 Day Blinds uses as a repair facility. I called 3 Day Blinds and paid $48.00 for restringing of a roman blind. I was offered the choice to drop off the blind or mail them to the facility. Because I live in the vicinity, I opted to drop-off. The staff at the front desk were courteous and told me I should hear back within 2 weeks tops. Two weeks later, I had no call or feedback so I called and was told that they had trouble ordering parts which they expected to be delivered on Friday so I should call back the following week on Tuesday. I called back on Tuesday and got the same story. I courteously told them that this didn't make sense considering this was a re-string and nobody called to let me know. They apologized and said that it happens and they would try to expedite. So I waited till the following week and called again on Tuesday (4 weeks now) and go the exact same story from the previous week!! I blew my top and asked that they get the blinds ready for pickup ASAP , don't fix it, don't touch it, just get it ready for me to pickup and I will call customer service to process my repair refund. I then called 3 Day Blind customer service and after explaining the ordeal, they called them on the other line, had me on hold for ~30 minutes and voila, my blinds were ready for immediate pickup!!?? Hard to imagine how but clearly some dimwit did not want to help me at JC Installation. Kudos to the 3 Day Blind representative I spoke to but shame on JC Installations for a shoddy job. I hope I never have to use them for repair ever again. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THEM AT ALL FOR ANYTHING. 3 Day Blinds should seriously consider changing their repair facility partner. read more

There have been so many attempts to set up a delivery and installation of our new blinds from 3 Day Blinds that I'm unable to document it all here. Lets just know that after DOZENS of phone calls to both JC Installations (thanks for your no help Brenda and to the VERY rude and unprofessional installer) and 3 Day Blinds (i'm a first name basis with half their customer service department at this point), my blinds were dumped in the alley behind the home, unboxed and unprotected in any way, and left there over night with no installation date in sight. Absolutely outrageously bad. Could not get them to come out for three weeks after pre-paying for repair. They would not call my cell phone back, only my home landline, every time i left a message. They did come finally, took my blinds for five weeks (after promising ten days) brought them back at an unscheduled time when no one was home and my housekeeper was cleaning. Installed the repaired blind upside down, ignored the other blinds and never called me. Still unresolved. Probably the worst service I have ever received in my life. read more

Fabulous work! Super quick installation! The couple poor reviews scared me, but I read them and saw they were due to weird scheduling issues as opposed to quality of work so I gave them a try. They probably took the reviews to heart b/c they were really good about scheduling. They both emailed me and called to confirm my scheduling time, and then called again the day before to confirm the time. The blinds installer was on time, incredibly friendly, installed quickly, did a great job, and cleaned up his mess. We were very pleased. read more

The installer was a joke. He came in like a flurry messed up new molding on two of the three areas, improperly installed two blinds and it was a month to schedule a fix. I never received the information on my blinds. I finally told 3 Day Blinds I wanted another installer. The first one not only made a mess and messed up my new molding but he arrived without the proper tools and the right kind of screws. A real third rate bunch of clowns. read more

JC Installations installed my new window shades. I had a two-hour arrival window. The installer arrived at the beginning of this window - which was great. The installation was prompt and was done well. We were shown how to operate the new shades and each of us tried it while the installer watched. He showed us where to grasp these shades to raise and lower them, explained how to pull them a little lower on the bottom and then set the bottom of the shade on the window sill so there would be no gap at the bottom, and answered other questions. JC also took away out old window shades for disposal. There are some negative reviews here regarding scheduling the install appointment. I kept missing JC's calls to set up an appointment. I did need to call several times before I got a live person - I figure they were probably on the phone with a customer and that's why I had to leave a message. My advice - keep calling back. The appointment person I spoke with was pleasant to talk to and didn't rush me as we set up an appointment. I hope that if I ever need repair that my experience will be as good as the installation appointment. read more

The Installer that came out to measure my windows was very polite and helpful. I had never ordered blinds before, when I moved in to the place I am currently living in, the blinds came with home. I was not sure what type of blinds would look great on my window and he suggested faux wood blinds. Once my blinds arrived, Ricardo came back to install them for me and did an wonderful job. He was right the faux wood blinds look way better than those cheap mini blinds I had before. I highly recommend Ricardo and JC Window Coverings to anybody. read more
