Avri was able to get them scheduled right away. He kept them informed every step of the process. Avri did a great job! Jose was our contractor. It only took him a few days to complete the job. He really took his time and did an excellent job. I would highly recommend Together Design & Build. They were prompt, professional, and the price was fair. We would definitely use them again.

[UPDATE TO THE BELOW REVIEW: This evening (Dec. 2nd) I received a call from Ido the owner, which I…read morefound highly offensive as it came after Ido reported that I lied about my experience to the BBB. The owner refuses to take responsibility in public, while sending nicer emails in private and trying to phone . . . this is /deception/ on a stick. You do not say one thing in public and in private say "I didn't really mean that." Ido is upset this negative review and would like it gone, but is unwilling to apologize or be truthful. I'll be updating all my social media reviews according. You'll notice that there are a sudden rash of bad reviews, not just from me. Do business with this guy at your risk.] I have tried to use this company twice. Both times, appointments were easy to set-up and Maria (not sure how to spell her name) was kind, helpful, and lovely. I had a minor flood and needed a company to work with my home insurance for the repairs. "Together Design" was one of four contractors I consulted, all with excellent reviews here and on Google. Avri the project manager was courteous and helpful, and was the last estimate I needed for the insurance company. I waited some weeks, but an estimate never came. I finally called the Avri's phone number on the caling card he cave me (I think I woke him up, sounded groggy at first). Avri said that my expectation for an estimate was misguided, and that he's being doing this job for quite a while. He said that the way "Together Design" works is that they only provided an estimate once I hired them. I said this is backwards, that I am to receive estimates and select the company I felt comfortable with in consultation with my adjuster. Avri stared to make excuses, none of which addressed my concern--that to consider them, I needed an estimate. I found his customer service quite rude: he kept cutting me off, he would not listen, he was defensive, made excuses, and so on. He stressed his experience, to which I responded three other contractors have already provided estimates and I was waiting for his. Avri said estimate-first is not how they do business, but he would get an estimate to my adjuster ASAP anyway. After a few days without an estimate, I went with another contractor. Maria called to follow up, and I told her my issues. She asked if I could give them another chance, I said not at the time, as time was of the essence and I needed the work to start yesterday. Disappointing, but I was ready to move on. Flash forward five months later, and I haired a crooked contractor who I am now unfortunately suing (cannot review them yet until that suit moves forward). I remembered Maria asking if I could give them another chance, so I decided to call again. Like the first time, communication was clear, easy, and Maria was very easy to work with. I was asked if I wanted to work with Avri again, and I said absolutely not given how poorly he handed the first time. Days later, however, I received a phone call and Maria said she was "calling with news." After she shared with the project managers my videos and photographs, they concluded my "scope" of my project was "not a good fit." I asked if it was "too small" or "two large" of a job. She said, "uhhhh . . . legally I can't say." I found this quite odd. She apologized, expressed wanting to help, but it was not something they are willing to do. I asked again why, and she would not say. Perhaps it was because I did /not/ want to work with Avri, but another PM. As I was about to post this review, I received a message from "Ido" who said their company /only/ takes on remodels from "start to finish." This was the first I have heard this excuse, it's certainly not mentioned in their advertising. If this were truly the case, I should have been told this upfront so I did not waste my time again. Maria asked I give them a second chance, and I did. This is a private business, and it's their right to turn down any client. Absolutely. It's also my right to report my experience. I'm trying to be careful not to be too judgement, but not being "legally" able to tell me why they wouldn't take the job the second time appears deceitful, as does "Ido's" explanation they /now/ only do start-to-finish remodels. BUYER BEWARE Experience Feb/March of 2025…read more I do not recommend for EDJ Home Improvement for hire. The front man for this business is Mr. Eric Jones Sr. who is a also a Pastor and will make you feel at ease and promise timeliness and even a little extra here and there BUT once they get your money, it's a different story and the work is not quality work. This company will ask for half of your money up front as a down payment and will not deliver the work and the work that is done will not be of quality. If you complain, you will be chastised, spoken to unprofessionally and your money will already be spent so you have no recourse but to sue or take a loss. I am currently having to hire other contractors to complete work in my home because EDJ took almost half my insurance money and gave nothing but empty promises. He seemed to have went to work immediately after I had given him half of the money I had. He had a storage pod and a trash bin delivered with a few materials the next day. He sent workers to my home and they started the work. The quick action made me think he was on it, however, a month later that's about all the work they did. They did about 3 days' worth of work in 4 weeks. He initially said they HAD to be done within a month by March 31st (which is part of the reason they were hired) and they only had completed 20% of the work within 4 weeks. Over the course of the month, I had to ask Mr. Jones Sr about the budget because even though I had given him $9400 he then asked me for more and to pay him each week even though the work was not being done. He will tell you one thing then another. He told me he would only charge me what the insurance paid me (cost minus depreciation) and that he will recover the depreciation from the insurance at the end. After getting the 50% deposit, he invoiced me for another week's payment when he has done little work. I also found he was using the full cost (with depreciation) to base the deposit amount. He says one thing, then does the other thing. The second week, we had to meet after I told him I was uncomfortable giving him 60-70% of my budget and didn't see any more work being done, because he immediately will start sending you invoices. It's as if they don't have the overhead to for his company and are floating it with customer deposits (that's what I speculated after dealing with them). Since I had not been able to cash the other payment from the insurance yet, we came to an agreement of what work would be done that week with what had already been paid since I was not going to give him any more money. He first tried to tell me the deposit went to materials and some labor, but when I asked him to show me he had spent almost 10k worth of materials, then it's became another story. Additionally, the work was sloppy and not of quality. When I questioned him about gaps that I saw in the way they placed my drywall in my entry way ceiling, he talked to me very informally and offensively and told me he couldn't work on my home if he was going to be questioned. He talked to me condescendingly as if I was too dense to understand drywall and told me I just need to trust and respect him. He also sent me a picture pretending the area I was concerned about was fixed/replaced and it was a lie because I went to my house later after the worker and it had not been replaced. After this unprofessional and dishonest exchange and after we were close to the third week and almost no more work had been done since the first week, Mr. Jones apologized to me for his behavior, but the damage was already done. I didn't feel comfortable communicating with him or completing the project. It caused me a severe amount of stress because I had a deadline to be out the temp house. I asked for my money back and he told me he had already spent it and would not be giving it back. I know he did not spend all of it on materials or labor on my home and I was trapped with him. After trying to negotiate an agreement even though I felt very stressed and uncomfortable with him, he still kept double talking not doing what he said he would do so I told him I would have to get a lawyer and move on. Mr. Jones Sr. knew my kids and I had been displaced for 4 months already from dealing with two home floods and this was the second one. He said it would only be weeks to complete the work and now he has turned the time to complete my home into more months. I have since interviewed two other contractors to finish the work and they both told me they would have to take down the drywall work EDJ did because it was poorly done. Lastly, if you are a single woman - I highly recommend you pass. He is condescending and I felt uncomfortable dealing with him and felt like I needed to get a man to talk to him If someone recommends them know you might not have the same experience

I've never encountered a more unprofessional company. I will not be recommending them to anyone…read moreneeding handyman services. You can blame this bad review on Angel. He is not an acceptable representative of the company. EDIT: just to add more context, here they are acting extremely unprofessional on their own FB page and then trying to threaten me via DM. No, honey. Not today. Make up all the lies you want. An employee, Angel, cut me off this morning. I will admit, I flipped him off afterwards and called him a "fucking asshole," but then he caught up and laughed in my face. Don't get it twisted, I will call your business out if you drive like a madman and put my or my loved ones' lives in danger. They want to say that I called them a racist slur. I would and could never. They want to say they have a video of me. Okay, post it then. But they won't because it'll just show they are liars. The wife also threatened to dox me, which is illegal, I believe. I have the screenshots; don't worry, babe. You can block me all you want.
