JcPenney's has been around for quite some time and over the years they've had some pretty good deals. I stopped into this location to cure some 'retail therapy' on a Friday afternoon. They now have special pricing (if you call it that) on the first and third Fridays of every month. The key is the blue spots with good prices that are only good for that day. Now dont get me wrong, you can get good quality products here for a great price too. However, to me I feel that their selection of items isnt all that great. Thats just me. Overall the store is clean and well laid out so that you can find what you are looking for. One of the ladies that waited on me didnt say 'hello' to me when I approached the check out area. On the other hand, I checked out in another part of the store and they didnt even say 'thank you'. As a matter of fact the cashier was having a conversation with another customer that jumped ahead in the line and didnt bother to get in line like the rest of us did. Dont get me wrong, Penneys is a great place to shop ...... you just have to be in the lookout for good deals and such. read more

I was at the Tuttle Mall Thursday, October 21, 2021and had the most incredible experience with an employee. I did ask for her name and she told me it was Kimberly Sands. I had to write it down because this beautiful souls spent an hour with me trying to help me pick out Women's and Children's clothes. I'm not very good at putting things together snd I had to stay on my budget. Without Kimberly's help I would have never been able to get everything done all matched and all done on my budget. Kimberly is a true and valued Asset to JCPenny and I will be telling my friends about her as well as go back specifically to see Kimberly. I wish everyone was as kind snd compassionate as she was. I like JCPenney's selection, and my most recent visit was not a disappointment! I easily found several options for what I was looking for. The one disappointment I have is about the chain in general - I hate that the honest pricing failed, because I really hate the hard to keep up with sales and coupons - ugh! But I have to give this location an extra bump for great service - I had the most pleasant and helpful staff member assist me. She was patient and willing to answer questions, and when I thanked her for her assistance, she said she was just doing her job. NEVER order furniture! I can't stress enough the disappointment over my year long unresolved dispute. I bought a couch and loveseat. And than two months later the loveseat broke. It's even covered under the mfg warranty but JCP refuses to pick up. I have been asking for a return for almost a year now. JCP gives me the runaround. I get transferred back and forth from the delivery co to JCP. All promised to call back and no one ever calls back. And I'm still stuck with a piece of crap furniture. I went here today to return some clothes and get some new. I waited in line for about 15 mins each time, and there was hardly anyone there. The fitting rooms were filthy, not with clothes left behind but with actual dirt. Many of the sales were misleading, I thought everything from the rack I wish shopping from was 50% off, but it turns out it's buy one get one 50% off, or buy 4 get 2 50% off. I used to do a lot of shopping here but was disappointed at the cleanliness when I went today. The staff however were very friendly and helpful. read more

There have been extensive changes and renovations (some still going on) and I feel they have been for the better. The prices are great and they are finally bringing in good product and styles of clothes that jcpenney did not have before. Staff is always helpful and friendly and I'm glad to see more workers on the floor than before. The home store is by far so much better and the products are modern and priced to sell. The coupons and sales are always an added bonus to already low prices. The changes have been alot to deal with but Jcpenney is on the right track and I will continue to shop here. read more

Shortly I will be in a friend's wedding and after the groom searched through various stores...ordered a few suits...had to take them due to a complete lack of availability for just a few guys....and finally he/we stumbled upon a suit from JCPenny. Initially he found a very sharp looking suit for all online. Shortly, the needed sizes were unavailable. Alas, the best laid plans.... Fortunately, on the "locate in store", the JCPenny @ Tuttle had both the pants AND jacket (no other JCPenny locations had both). I called the Mens department and worked exclusively with an absolutely wonderful woman named Betty. If you have/need/want any dress attire through this JCPenny....GO THROUGH BETTY! Point being, no doubt JCPenny/Men's Warehouse/Joseph A Banks/etc./etc. all have excellent suits/pants/ties/etc. The real difference was working with Betty at this location and the simple fact that they HAD THE DESIRED PRODUCT! Pre-visit Betty pulled all potential sizes for me. Upon arriving I waited less that 60 seconds and was immediately in and trying on said suit. Thankfully, Betty gave some guidance and had the suit altered to fit my athletic frame instead of simply sticking with a boxey run-of-the-mill suit. The alterations were perfect and she did them very quickly & efficiently. I was also charged the sale price on the website...VERY NICE; saving a significant amount of money but still getting a high quality, sharp suit for the wedding and beyond. Betty was the absolute best to deal with, efficient, nice, and the entire process took less than 15-20 minutes. Although this was a bit of drive for me, it was worth it. If you go to this location and needs Mens dress attire....ask for BETTY!!! read more

Ok. I went here the other day with my mom for fun. They had NO AIR CONDITIONING and it was 85 degrees outside. I asked an employee at checkout whether her manager had said when or if it would be fixed and she said they have not said anything about repairs. Mind you, this was a woman employee that is considered high risk because she was elderly. She told me her head was wet and dripping from how much she was sweating. And all their employees are required to wear black clothing. I felt so terrible. This is how JC penny's treats their employees. Not to mention the customers are suffering too. I am extremely sensitive to heat and I was dying of heat stroke and had to escape to the air conditioned outer mall area to get some air. I was profusely sweating and weak from being in a department store with no air conditioning for over an hour. And what about other high risk customers like pregnant women or the elderly or just people who are sensitive to heat like me??? This is ridiculous. And to top it off Tuttle mall removed the marble bench that used to be at the entrance of jc penny's, so I had to walk even further in my overheated state to find a place to sit and rest. I can generally find what I'm looking for in here but the clearance section is VERY unorganized. I get it, its half off, but does it have to be thrown around and out of order? Prices are OK and cashiers will give you a coupon if you ask. At peak hours, there is usually 1 cashier which is strange. However, when I went to return, it was quick and painless. This review is about JCpenney.com. Overall, this is the MOST terrible experience I have ever had and that could be an understatement. It started back in July when I placed an order for a furniture. A few days later, I received a notice that this order was shipped and my credit card was charged. The estimated shipping date is August, 10th. However, I have never got any update since then. I called the customer service many times and was always told to wait and given different shipping dates. They gave me a number for the delivery company and the people there told me they have no record of the order at all. They also promised to call me back on this order several times but never did. After numerous attempts, one customer representative finally told me that the original order was not appropriately placed (no explanation of why that happened at all). They cancelled the original order and placed another. That is in early September already. Then a new email about shipping date came with charge placed on my credit card again. But the same thing happened again. No update whatsoever since then and I had to contact the customer service again and again for the update. I finally decided it is not worth any more waiting and want to cancel the order. But the customer service person told me that they cannot do that since they are investigating the problem with the order and they will not refund me until they figure out the reason. They said (again) they will respond in 3 to 5 days. The customer representative also said she will personally investigate this issue and get back to me. But still no communication whatsoever for another two weeks. Now it is October and I tried online chat with their customer service and they referred me to call (which is always the more time-consuming option). This time, the customer representative told me that they did not even had the item in the first place when the order was placed. I have placed numerous online orders with many merchants and have never had an experience like this. They just took your money with no update, no follow-up, keep giving excuses and offer no solution at all. They made a lot of promises and gave me many "estimated" times needed to resolve the issue but nothing ever happened with them. I can never imagine why someone runs business this way. I dont know about other people, but I will stay away from this business at all costs in the future. read more

NEVER ORDER ONLINE FROM JCP. I found a coat I loved at JCP. I found a snap that was broken so I returned it and had the store ship me my new coat in mid December. The expected delivery date continued to be pushed back until it was January 8th and I called costumer service. They said that they had seen this before and that they would most likely continue to push back the delivery date forever and would never be delivered. So I cancelled that order and ordered the coat again. When I received my coat, it was not a small ice blue coat but was actually and men's large grey suit jacket. I returned the jacket to the store and was informed that they coat I wanted and at one point loved and owned, was no longer in stock and that I would never have it again. This place is okay. I've never been a huge fan of JC Penney because I don't really like all of their selection. I most recently used their photo studio. They did an okay job. I didn't feel like the photographer did a great job, she seemed a little young and inexperienced. Do NOT buy JCPenney's Anti-Glare coating. They use an in-house brand that apparently is of inferior quality. They have a before/after picture of the benefits of the anti-glare coating on their counter. The pictures show a striking difference. I ordered this anti-glare coating and could not tell any difference whatsoever while driving at night time. I even had my wife test the glasses and she could not tell any difference in glare. JCPenney has a no refund policy on custom orders. I can understand this when it pertains to someone changing their minds or not liking the style etc. But this is a different issue. The issue is that I was sold something that is defective or just does not work. I spoke to the manager at the optical store and she flatly refused to refund my money. She was not cooperative at all. I cannot recommend this place. I thought JCPenney was a stand up company that took care of it's customers. I was wrong. read more

I bought curtains and curtain rod Nov 2017 at J C Penney at Tuttle Crossing Mall. Helpful sales person and good price on sale, we arranged in home installation. Installer came, could not do the job, needed a tool he didn't have. NO curtains installed, NO call back to me, NO message received, NO answer multiple times calling the store, TERRIBLE service after the sale. I ordered an item from JCPenney.com and opted to pick it up at the store. I received an email that my item was available and that I had to bring my ID and the credit card I placed the order with for verification. When I arrived, I offered my ID and they said they wouldn't need it (should have been a red flag from the beginning). I was only asked for my phone number and they were unable to find my item with that. After some digging (including my offering the order#), they found it and said that it was marked "delivered"... as if I should know what their codes mean. I advised that my name was the only name on the order and therefore only I should be the only one able to pick it up. I asked who signed for it and they said they couldn't provide me with that information. I strongly advise against using their ship to store feature. read more
