Worst service ever.. I went over there because my family wanted to a jacket.. Once we grabbed everything we needed, I waited in line 26mins because there was only one cashier and the other squidward that was working there didn't wanna help with the line.. Don't get me wrong, I'm not impatient but my 82y/o grandma was with me and her legs were hurting.. Once we finally got to the line I spent 150 dollars and I swipe my card 3 times and he said it didn't go thru. I asked him why.. That stupid idiot named Edward pressed it was a debit card. Wasting my time. And then I decided to pay with another card and their eggplant face manager or whatever she is because with the attitude she has, she should be cleaning floors and not answering phones.. I work in retail, I know it can be hectic, and stressful.. But man.. At least be polite. read more

Sad to say that Walmart's lines are faster than this. I was the 12th person in line to pick up an online order of one item and it took 50 minutes to go through the line. It was not the cashier's fault as they worked as fast as possible without any breaks. read more

I had to give up shopping at more expensive retailers; which has brought me to JC Penny. I have found the designs at JC Penny are wearable and can be stylish. I don't shop here for fun clothes, however the basics (pants, shirts) are good in quality and usually available in your size. The fit is a hit or miss - much as it is for any other brand. I've bought a good amount of my summer wardrobe here. Most the clothes I still wear. I mix and match my JC pieces with other expensive brands. Due to the price and selection - it is very easy to purchase a coordinated outfit w/o breaking the bank. Try coordinating an outfit from a discount store or having a piece from Target survive a wash. read more

Absolutely horrible service at this location. I thought it would be a wonderful idea to pickup my items that I ordered during the Black Friday sale at the Montebello Towne Center. Bad idea. JCP texts you updates on your order which is great but apparently every store has a different pick up location. Montebello doesn't identify whatsoever where to go. I waited at the Customer Service desk for over 20 min and finally walked around the store to find someone, they promised to send a rep over, never came. We then called the store twice to tell them that we are waiting and they did not direct us to the right place. One of the other shoppers told me to try Home and they directed me upstairs to Salon. There is no sign on the walkway or Salon area that indicates pick ups. You have to walk past the Photo, Optical to the very back and finally theres a sign that says Pick ups. Seriously? None of the store reps can direct me? I will never ship to this store ever. Perhaps other locations are acceptable but not Montebello. read more

purchased 2 eyeliners on 12/7/18 at the sephora in store at jcpenny in montebello town center. The first cashier was very helpful finding my beauty insdier information and informed me if I spent $25 more I would get a $10 discount. I stated no several times but finally relented left line found $50 more in product and got back in the holiday line for another 20 min wait to finally be told by 2 male cashiers, assoc 0712, that I needed an invitation email to get the $10 discount. I was buying over $100 in product so I was going to be paying $98.00 after the discount. I pointed out the female cashier that had told me about the discount with my beauty insider membership and the 2 males, one with a full face of make up turned to the female cashier who had told me about the discount and berated her for informing customers about discounts and that customers HAD to have the email to get any discount. The male cashier still rung me up and when I stated I only purchased extra items for the discount he ignored me and kept repeating the price of all the items. I told him i only wanted to 2 eyeliners I had ORIGINALLY tried to purchase. He stopped transaction made me wait while talking with other male and then stated this is what you are purchasing and stated price again $108.78. I stated well if I'm not getting discount I'm only purchasing eyeliners I had originally wanted to purchase. other male who was not cashier initally refused to deduct other products until I stared to walk away. In the end it was a total waste of time and money, could have gone to ULTA or a stand alone sephora with competent educated sales people and not felt ridiculed and talked down to by 2 male sephora workers who belittle females. read more

At 1:30pm I asked how much longer, they said 2 families were ahead of me. 4 families have gone now and I'm sure the other family who just showed up is next. I went in the other day to try out some make up products at Sephora. And I was playing with some of the makeup waiting to ask about what shade I should get for my eyebrows since I recently changed my hair color. And when I finally got to someone to help me she just told me get this color without even putting it on to see if that color would be ok for me. I was planning on going to get other makeup but was annoyed and left to MAC macy's. read more

This JCPenny has some finds. But, the one in Santa Anita mall has more of a selection and I rather go there. The career clothes at JCPenny are sometimes trendy and cute. I usually buy at the clearance section, since most of my work clothes need tailoring. I like the jewerly. I dislike the shoes, sportswear, and undergarments. read more

JC is my store to get Stafford shirts, Adidas sports wear and PGA polos. I been to this store many times and there's never a line to check out. There is always parking available and right next to the food court so that makes me a fan. read more

Really disappointed with this store. After spend few hours looking and scanning I though they will honor the price that showed on the price scanner but that's not it. Apparently the manager told all the cashier to punched in the lowest ticketed price on the tag. I shop at other jcpenney store like West Covina & Montclair and I have no problem. The problem is the price on the tag even is the lowest price sometimes is lower when I checked on the scanner. If that the case why they have to setup the scanner at the first place? Just change the tag price every time they want to lowered the price. Am I right? I better spend my time to do something else... Just put a sign on every entrance "PLEASE DON'T USE THE PRICE SCANNER. WE ONLY HONOR THE LOWEST TICKETED PRICE". read more

A 3 for the prices I needed to be still had to leave. I signed up to receive text for coupons received one for back to school clearly says for kids on school shoes, when I arrive a select the clearance Adidas. I am told not athletic shoes casual and boat and dress shoes. But it clearly said for shoes. So I had to leave roam the mall and ended up at fast line in the Montebello town center.
