Anyway, I was never greeted by any of the girls and never asked if I needed help finding anything. The store was so disheveled and poorly stocked, I couldn't find anything I was looking for. First of all, I am a frequent shopper at Sephora (I have a VIB member card). I was waiting for an employee for about 10 minutes because I needed help finding an item. The employee continued talking and laughing with her friends even sharing eye contact with me knowing I needed assistance and didn't bother sending another coworker to help me or to tell me to give her a second because she was busy with another customer (which she wasn't). My mom and I finally got what we needed and waited in line, while the same employee got on the register and to our luck, was our cashier. She got my beauty insider card phone number and didn't tell me how many points I had (I had to ask that) also she didn't offer if I wanted any reward items in the box for my points (I had to ask for that too). That is the first time they never asked that, it was like she didn't want to help me out! Moving along, she searched for my rewards item I wanted but couldn't find it so she grabbed the one on display slamming things around like the box it was in and her scanner. HIGHLY DISSATISFIED and DEFINITELY will be going to the Sephora located outside the mall from now on!! Not satisfied with how the portrait studio handke their customers. Jam packed everyone in last minute newborn and toddlers. I was appalled at the fact that it look 25 minutes to find someone that works there just to help get us the right size shoe to try on. THEN, when we were finally ready to get in line, there was only 2 checkstands open on opposite sides of the store, both with easily 10 people standing in line. When we finally made it to check out we asked how many people were working and the girl said there was 2-3 People for the ENTIRE floor! Will NOT be going back. Purchased a diamond ring on 12/29/19. It was sent out for sizing and I was told it would be about 3 weeks. Never received the call they said that I would get when it came in. Now I am being billed as they say there was a payment due and I did not pay it. They charged me a $27.00 late fee. There were no other purchases on my account. So not only do I now have my ring but they are charging me for not paying for a purchase I have not received. Am I mad. Hell yes. read more

I had the best experience with my 2 year old son at the Temecula JCPenney portrait studio. While the studio itself felt a bit run down, I was pleasantly surprised with the choice of backdrops and the lighting. The two photographers, Cassie and Elysia, were where this 5-star rating comes in. My active little guy is notorious for not cooperating with photographers and instead of giving up when his tears started to flow, they went above and beyond to ensure that he felt comfortable and we could get some great pictures. We were shopping late and the overhead message said they would be closing at 9pm, so we made sure we were in line well before. As we were paying they closed the gates. We had our 5 year old son that started crying because he thought we were locked in, but more importantly we had our son who is in a wheelchair. We asked them to open the gate and the first person replied, "Once they go down we don't open them." We asked for a manager. The manager came and told us we need to go out the outer door to walk around the mall. He said he couldn't open the gate. We had to lose it on him and literally 60 seconds later he opened the gate. THE WHOLE POINT OF YOUR ESTABLISHMENT IS FOR CUSTOMERS TO SPEND MONEY IN YOUR STORE! AND YOU'RE NOT GOING TO LET THEM OUT! WHEN IT WAS LIKE 2 MINUTES OF CHECKING OUT THAT MADE US LEAVE PASSED 9?! I get the regular employees just following what they are told, but I just can't believe the manager, from a customer service perspective, didn't say "Sorry folks, let me get you out." Loved loved my ring when I got it, so many compliments and looks, now I'm trying to sell it so I went to a local jeweler to get my ring appraised (usually verbal appraisals are free, take yours and see what they say) and it was $380. I was told that the diamonds had a lot of black in them and were extremely flawed. I was also told I could do better if I sell it online that I could probably get $500 out of it. I address this with my local JCPenney's in to macula and I also addressed it with corporate in Texas and I feel like Their customers concerns and needs aren't there priority, I was told at the store I could change it for something of the same value...Ummm, why would I be interested in having any other piece of jewelry from that store if the one that I purchased has no value? read more

I'm standing in line waiting to pick up my online order. I chose the ship to store option because I didn't want to pay shipping. I did think this pick up option would be easier but it's not. The store is a bit confusing as all the check out desks read customer service. And customer service is usually the place upstairs where you go to pick up your online order. What is so frustrating to me is that there was no sales associate to even ask where to go to pick up my online order. The only sales associates on the floor were the ones behind the checkout register desk. Seems to be the store manager(s) need to be thinking of their customers. There were a few other women in line wondering where everyone was too. Dump!!! Was lied to and overcharged on a mattress set! They screwed up the paperwork, wouldn't redo it because we wouldn't have it by LABOR Day weekend! They said they'd put through a credit to rectify it! The mattress still wasn't delivered until the 15th of September! Today is the 18th, still no credit of 20% off our Bill! Would give JCP portrait studio ZERO STARS if I could...didn't tell us when they booked our appointment that it was before the store opened so had to track down someone to open the door. The studio was already a zoo and they made us wait 45 to take pictures and the photographer asked us to pose the kids!!!! Half of the pictures weren't even centered...she took so little pictures at least 5 of the final my kids weren't even looking! Then I heard the manager give people 3 different excuses for the wait times and then she tells me people called out sick...WOW! Why lie 3 times in front of someone and then say actually they called in sick...the manager then tried to sell me everything I said no thanks...I just by the online album because I know the prints and canvas go on sale around the holidays...she was mad and basically wouldn't let me or the lady in front of me leave until we at least purchased unlimited free sitting fees for a year which I will NEVER USE NOW!!! Then when out of the two jeans purchased did not fit even though they were the same size and tried to take back given a major league hassle accusing my wife of some sort of fraud because the JCP mark was missing. On 8/5 my mother and I decided to stop in and check out the amazing sale they were advertising all week. We were gingerly shopping in the shoe department , when my mom came across two (different ) pairs if shoes she wanted at a great price! We looked around for an associate to assist us . We noticed there were two , a lady and a man (Chris ). We noticed they were assisting people checking out. My mom being, the nicest and most understanding person suggested we get in line (even though we were not "checking out" we just needed a different size shoe. After waiting in line Chris called us up my mom politely asked if she can have a different size in shoe.. Chris then proceeded to provide us with horrible customer service. He did not smile nor greet us , just blatantly stated "ya" "what do you need" went to the back ,came back Didn't bother to say anything , just stood there staring at us until we looked up (my mom still in a great mood ) apologized for not seeing him when he walked up . Chris than said "ya" with thee most unprofessional and smug attitude (as if we were bothering him) . Seriously ? Needless to say . We left. This store deserves a big zero! It's just a disaster. We purchased a bridal set ring worth $4,000. I needed the ring to be repolished, so took it to the store. The ladies (yasmine & camelia) that submitted the ticket did Not know what they were doing. I had a bad feeling, but still decided to just sent the ring out to be repaired. A month went by and no call nor update on the ring. When I decided to call to get an update, I was told it had been shipped already to the store. Waited for a whole week for them to look for the ring at the store and nothing. My husband kept on calling leaving messages and e-mails all to find out the ring was lost/stolen. My 10th anniversary gift was never to be found anywhere. Oh, by the way the managers are never available when issues like these arise. Sometimes it's just better to escalate the issue to the CEO and get things resolved. Never doing business again with the jewelry department. Worst experience ever!! Nevertheless this store is always a mess, the employees/manager always clueless. Any issues with this company my advise would be just to escalated directly to the CEO. read more

One star rating is being generous -- the option of no stars should be shown.....Without a doubt, JC Penneys in Temecula is the messiest, dirtiest, unkempt retail store I've ever been in!! The shoe department looked like a hurricane came through and scattered shoes and boxes everywhere -- nothing matched, sizes in the boxes didn't match each other, or the box they were in.....the floors (carpeting) was strewn with little bits of fabric, plastic pieces, rumpled up paper, etc....I don't think the store is vacuumed on any regular basis....in addition, the women's restroom was beyond disgusting -- it prompted me to go find the store manager, which I did, and tell her that I "defy her to use that restroom herself".....she said "it was cleaned earlier", etc. etc...the excuses that it had become that filthy in a couple of hours just made me realize there is no pride in the employees of their workplace, starting at the top. Two sinks were marked out of service, and who knows how long that had been....there wasn't one clean stall, and I won't go into any further descriptions of what was there! And these brick and mortar stores wonder why they go out of business and we consumers go online to buy......! I'm never going back! read more

Bought four thousand dollars worth of drapery that we had specially made for our bedroom. We had some concerns about the fit on the windows and called to have JCP come out and check or redo them. They came out promptly on the date that we asked them to and fix the drapes so they work perfectly now. There was no muss no fuss no nothing they did the work they were courteous they were just fine. I highly recommend them. Robin was the interior decorator who came to our home to show us everything. We could not have asked for a better salesperson. read more

Went in today and was going to buy the makeup that I have been using for a year... after speaking with Adrian and voicing NY concerns for my skin type and issues with current makeup, he made a couple recommendations, and WOW what a difference. He is so knowledgeable, and has excellent customer service. It was crazy busy in the store, and he was so pleasant and helped each person that visited the store. I went to the JcPenney today trying to find my son a suit for homecoming. I didn't know what to get him at all. I went up to a worker and I think his name was Andrew. He looked busy but he was glad to help me. He taught my son how to apply his bow tie and his suspenders while allowing me to get colors that combine with his outfit. Another worker named Amanda came along and was folding clothes in the fitting room area and gave my son some advice about asking a girl out to homecoming and taught my son a little something about being a true gentlemen. I cannot thank these workers enough. I went downstairs but was not helped once. I couldn't find myself an outfit for a wedding coming up. Customer experience is terrible here. We have been waiting in line to purchase for 30 min and the associate has left to go get change. Poorly staffed with clothing and other merchandise thrown all over the store. I do not recommend this store. The staffing needs to seriously be adjusted to allow people to make purchases. read more
