My car had been making a weird chunk-chunk-chunk noise only some of the time for several months. We were traveling through the area and took it to Jcs Auto. they looked at it and quickly realized that when I'd had the brakes replaced the bolts that hold the brakes on weren't tightened. Jcs Auto then tightened the bolts for no charge! This could have been dangerous and I'm so grateful to have found a place that could diagnose and fix the problem so quickly. For any normal repair needs there is no better mechanic in Yucca Valley, CA. The mechanics there are the best and they go above and beyond to keep costs down and provide fast and convenient service. I ventured to another service ONLY when I needed my battery and alternator checked. But for any other needs I only trust Jason and his dad (Bob) to work on my car. Bob does the research for any needed parts and Jason personally completes the work or if it is something simple he supervises and guarantees satisfaction. Not a big yelper but I have to on this one... I was on my back to Los Angeles when my ac stopped working. I went to several places and couldn't get the right help. Then a guy at a chain car place recommended Jason and Bob at Jcs Auto. Thank goodness he did. These guys were not only extremely helpful and knowledgeable... but friendly as can be and their prices are as good as you'll find anywhere!I can't recommend them enough. Took in my Jeep and found the owner to be honest and upfront. The work was done when promised. The price was very fair. They did not try to pressure me to have more things fixed. In fact, they gave me advise on things to keep an eye on, that might need replacing down the road. I felt very comfortable.As a woman, I find a lot of places take advantage of me. I have had a bit of work done by jason and for the most part happy. That all changed this last repair. I do have a 1971 ford f100 and it way over heated and did a lot of damage. Jason has always been good on saving money but this is my sole transport. I needed a valve job and my truck was in the shop for 6 very long weeks. Problem one and most important is a horrible lack of communication. When trying to find out what was going on he almost never returned a phone call or txt. leaving me hanging and by communicating we would of gotten rid of my stress of not knowing what work was or wasn't happening. Long story short I had to get my truck towed back to twentynine. The truck wasn't ready because I had to replace the radiator and the water pump. the wrong size bolt was used on the thermostat, vacume hoses were left unconnected, the timing was wrong, the oil should of been changed. I suspect that Jason was tired of the truck in his shop and getting calls daily which were never returned, ignoring the the few things I had to fix. Not returning phone calls would have helped remedy a situation. I am extremely disappointed ,I like Jason as a person but lack of communication is paramount in keeping customers happy and good business practice. My truck should of not left the shop. One more thing, Jason said he took my truck for about 10 minutes and no problems when within minutes it overheated and timing was not adjusted. read more
