They did do the work, but they were pricey and made me feel like we were lucky to have them available. We decided we would not use them again or refer them. I've used JC's Professional Tree Service three times now in the last 10 years since I've owned my house This last time I contacted Jerry right before Christmas and he had the crew working the next day! They cut down three trees and trimmed up five trees. Plus they went through the property and picked up all the additional loose limbs and branches that had fallen in the last year. Our property has a lot of live oaks, cedars, and assorted other smaller trees such as Yaupons Hollys. The live oaks grow like crazy, and over hang the house. We called JC's, and Jerry came out and walked the property with me. He showed me which trees he recommended trimming, which limbs should be removed, and which trees should be removed completely. I'm not a big fan of cutting down trees completely, but he helped me understand why, and we agreed. Jerry immediately offered a copy of his insurance policy, giving me the peace of mind that he's not just some fly-by-night company. His crew came out the next day and got to work. They did a great job. The live oaks are no longer overhanging the house. Trimming the trees in front opens up the front of the house, and makes it look much better. Even though a lot was trimmed in the back yard, the overall canopy and shade still remains. It no longer looks like an overgrown, out of control forest. Well I don't know about their tree service, but I had an incident on the road with a guy driving the company truck. I called the phone number on the truck and a guy answered, listened to my complaint about his driver then started talking about the incident and me rudely... turns out he was the jerk driving the truck that caused the incident! I don't see any current reviews of his business so maybe he's no longer in business? It wouldn't surprise me if this is how he behaves knowing he's driving a truck with his company logo and phone number on it. I need my trees evaluated and trimmed but he will never get my business and I hope you think twice before using him as well. read more

What a hard working professional group! I bought a large property and had to remove about 40 trees and then some. JC and his crew were there 3 days straight until it was finished. He walked the property and gave me good sound advice about which trees were good to leave and why. My oaks can now see the sunlight:) He also took out large bushes and holly trees around the house and dug out the entire root system. Allowing my gardner to plant natives that don't require water. They also lifted the canopy on all the oaks and took away the dead branches too. I wish I had done a before and after...It looks amazing. Without notifying me beforehand, or asking my permission, JC's employees entered my back yard, climbed in my heritage oak tree, and sawed off several medium-to-large diameter limbs. When I called the company, the owner told me that they were hired by the owner of the house behind ours and were only trimming the limbs back to the property line. He also said that they had no obligation to inform me about their plans before they started cutting off limbs. He didn't explain what gave their employees the right to come into my back yard and climb into the tree without my permission to do their work. read more

I would not use JC's Professional Tree Service if my life depended on it. Jerry is now using sub contractors to perform the work at least he did at my two job sites. I had to argue with the workers to get the work done correctly at my home and then they left a huge tree limb on my rental property and would not clean it up....unfortunately I trusted Jerry to live up to his word which he did not. When I addressed this issue with Jerry he told me to contact his sub contractor and when his sub contractor would not resolve the issue, Jerry said he would take care of the problem. He did not remove the huge tree limb and is refusing to communicate with me about the issue. If you want to pay good money and get half the job done utilize this business. read more

These guys did a fantastic job on a fairly large job on our property. Trees were overhanging our roof, entwined with our power line. They got it all taken care of, and more, when I called to thank them I mentioned there were some branches and debris that was not removed (probably just fell off the trailer) he had guys out the next day to take them away. I have a large red oak and 4 large live oaks and all needed trimming in the worst way. It has literally been years since the last time they were trimmed. Jerry inspected my trees and provided a very reasonable proposal. His crew showed up on time and got right to work removing deadwood, low growing limbs and raising the canopy of each tree. The crew was friendly, very professional and did their job in a workmanlike manner. All of the brush/cuttings were hauled off and the property was cleaned up. We are cedar free thanks to JC. I needed around ten 8 to 15 inch diameter cedar trees taken down and hauled away, along with brush from another 10 or so that I had already taken down. Jerry was great to work with and his guys worked very hard to knock out this job within a very short time frame. They are a very nice bunch of guys and were always on time. I couldn't be more pleased. Jerry took his time with me (about 45 mins) to make sure his quote included all the work I needed done and it was unbelievably reasonable, almost 50% less than another company who took all of 5 mins to formulate their quote. Jerry also came across a few "weed trees" that he offered to take down for me free of charge. He is very knowledgeable and always took his time to answer my questions. He is honest also. I know this, because I mistakenly asked him to take down a tree I thought was a weed tree and, while he could have agreed and charged me for it, he declined, explaining that it was not a bad weed tree and I should keep it.
