I booked an appointment for 1pm for a pedicure and showed up 5 minutes early. There was only1 lady there who was doing someone else's nails. She sat me in a chair and I waited for about 15 minute. When I asked where my nail technician was she said she had phoned someone to come down. When I asked how much longer they would be she said she didn't know; they were on their way. I waited a total of 35 minutes before someone arrived. My mom made an appointment for the following week and had the exact same experience. She walked out after waiting 30 minutes. Lynn is amazing on nails and always works her magic:) Her facials make me fall asleep....they are that good. If you are looking for quality work within a budget this is the place to go! Pros - staff were nice and pleasant Pros - pleasant and nice staff. Cons - I didn't feel completely safe with their covid protocols. There was plexi glass between the person doing my pedicure but no plexi between the person doing my nails. I asked for gel nails with a white French tip but nails ended up being pink'ish and very heavy and thick, not a fan at all. Absolutely terrible. I called to make an appointment and was told to come at 10am (their website states they open at 9:30am). I'm at the door at 10am and the store is not open. I call back the number to ask what is going on and the guy who answered is already extremely rude telling me "the girl is probably just walking over" and "well can you wait?". I express my confusion as to why would I be given an appointment for 10am when they're not even open (also considering when an employee eventually shows up they're going to need some time to open the store, etc) and there is a long pause over the phone until he says "are you taking the service or not?". Completely shocked by his response I ask if I could get a discount for the inconvenience (and quite frankly the unprofessionalism) and he says "Ya this isn't going to work out. Don't come" I have NEVER had such a horrible encounter with a nail salon. I've been there several times and each time was mediocre at best. I could not recommend more. Had to find a new nail salon on the North Shore after a bad experience elsewhere. Was able to get a last minute appointment for a shellac mani and regular pedi. It's been 4 weeks since and my shellac mani has not chipped! The girls did a great job. My pedi also held up well. It's time to go back, but really happy with the quality and service. read more

First let me start my saying I am a HUGE supporter of small locally owned businesses. I do my very best to support them as much as I can. But this was, without a doubt, the worse customer service I have ever experienced. Decided last minute on a pedicure so visited Jealousy Nails on 15th. They said they could take me and the person I was with right away. They started on her and left me to sit in the warm water. For almost 45 minutes! It was quite cold by the time the technician started on me but I didn't complain. I didn't complain when my pedicure was rushed. I didn't complain when the nail technician put a base coat for a gel pedicure then had to remove it. She didn't actually remove it but simply "wiped it off" but it was still on my nails. But when I was told we could leave and my nails were fine and here it is 24 hours later and they are still "wet", I'll complain. I was very careful to not smudge them as I could tell they were still tacky but by the morning they were smudged and creased. I went back today to tell them - I am thinking it's because the base coat of the gel polish was not properly removed and not properly cured so the regular polish is not setting. They said they were busy and for me to come back another time. I didn't have time to come back so I asked for a refund. They refused. They called the manager and he accused me of being a scam artist. I said I simply wanted my polish fixed and if they couldn't do it to at least reimburse me the cost of a colour change so I could go elsewhere. Again I was accused of scamming them and if I was at a restaurant and had a complaint they wouldn't give me my meal for free (not that I've ever had to do that but I imagine a restaurant would do that). The owner also accused me of not liking my colour so I smudged them on purpose so I could get a free colour change! I assured them I liked the colour and wanted the same colour again and he said I was lying! This is just another tacky nail salon with terrible customer service and no thought for a satisfied client. I realized they likely couldn't refund me as the money I paid - and a healthy 20% tip - had already been laundered. Very disappointing. It's not like it was inexpensive either - $37 for a rushed pedicure. Obviously I won't be returning and if it had even just been an unsatisfactory pedicure I wouldn't complain or give 1 star. Maybe there was something I didn't like that wouldn't bother someone else but to be treated so rudely by the staff and then accused lying by the manager, that warrants a warning to others. read more

I would give no stars if possible. Horrible acrylics. Looked like spoons way to thick and ugly. There were previous nails from other clients where I was getting mine done. The people were watching a Netflix show when doing my nails. Overall TERRIBLE SERVICE! DO NOT GIVE THEM YOUR MONEY !! read more

Second time here for a pedicure. Was in the chair for over an hour. No massage, no moisturizer, and when I asked for another coat because it wasn't done properly I had to wait. Won't be back. Best pedi ever in a salon that isn't a high end spa and even better than many of those . So thorough and real attention to detail . The owner keeps her staff on their toes but honestly they do a great job without it too or at least what I saw. What I did like was the owner reminds her staff to speak English which is a pet peeve of mine in other salons. It makes you feel like they are ignoring you and not paying attention to you. So kudos to her for this policy and it helps them to practice their English as well so everyone benefits. This salon is not convenient for me but I will make the trip back for sure . I reviewed this salon a few years ago, and I have to give another review. I had my nails done at a different salon, with a friend, and one nail chipped within two weeks. They were going to charge me to fix it, even though I have been going there for several months. The wonderful lady at Jealousy fixed it for me, without an appointment. I get my pedicures here, and they are amazing. I had just been going elsewhere for nails, because my friend liked the other place. I will be coming to Jealousy for all my nail needs now. I dropped in to change my colour on my toes. The lady was a bit odd as she was like "you just want to change the colour!?" I said yes and the usual place I go to its $10, she was like no $15... First time dropping into this place (Mountain Highway location as I know there are 2 locations) and I will NOT be going again.... First of all, I had a regular manicure, which I know doesn't last as long as gels, but they started chipping the day after the manicure!! Now less than a week later, I need to take it off as it looks so bad. Second problem, as I sat getting my nails done the lady asked me if I want to wax my arms while I'm here and when I said "no" after feeling kind of insulted, she laughed and said "you like it hairy? haha". She also asked me if I wanted my eyebrows waxed and when I said no she had a similar reaction. I thought it was quite rude. There are definitely better places to go in North Van. read more
