I'm embarrassed to admit that I shop at a store with this name. Terrible name! BUT, they sell really good stuff! I like the leggings and long sweater look, and they sell beautiful pieces. I've done very well with sweaters, dresses, and jewelry, with lots of compliments. Even a sidewalk sale dress received raves. The clothes are well-made, and the ladies are wonderful about ensuring a good fit, without a hint of pushy. They do a loyalty program as well. read more

My 300th review goes to my recent discovery of this wonderful boutique. My best friend and I were spending the afternoon in downtown DG and decided to check out the shops. Our first stop was JACTS (that's what I'm calling it in this review). It's a cute little store with fashionable, yet accessible, clothing and accessories. Yes, a lot of the items here were out of my price range and after seeing a $90 dress, I was thinking this would be a short trip. But you know what's awesome about JACTS? Sales! While there, they were having a $10 off $50, $20 off $100 sale. I think there was also an extra percentage off clearance items. I made my way to the clearance rack and saw some really cute stuff. And then I saw this awesome gray leather jacket. It was down from $80 to $50! For a good leather jacket, I was totally willing to pay that. I tried it on and fell in love. While I was staring at myself in the mirror, my bestie found a cute, regular priced dress. It was $80, which made her hesitant about trying it on, but she decided to give it a shot. It fit her perfectly. I have a dress that has a similar cut, but it makes me look hippy. This was definitely made better and fit her like a glove. She was really on the fence about it and was thinking about what to do when I made my way up to the counter to buy my jacket. The wonderful employee told us that we could combine our purchase and get the $20 off, but pay separately, and we could split the $20 however we wanted. I was already going to get a discount on my jacket and I knew my friend really liked the dress and because it fit her so freaking well, I decided she could have the entire $20 discount. The woman thought that was like the nicest thing ever, so she gave me an additional discount on my jacket for being so damn nice. Yay! Being nice pays! My friend and I left very happy with our purchases. I was teetering on this review being 4 or 5 stars mainly because of the price, but I'm going with 5 starts because of one main reason: customer service. Not because of the awesome discount, but because of the attention we received while there. While we were trying on our clothes, the employees were giving us their opinions and why something worked or didn't. Another woman was there trying something on and they were honest with her about the item she was trying on and offered suggestions to what may work better. I love that kind of customer service. They're not trying to make a sale; they're working with you to make you look your best. I wish every store could do that. I wish I had more money, but I know I'll definitely be back to JACTS. Went in here on a Saturday after a friend recommended it. They had a cute selection of jeans and cute tops that were trendy but not overly so, and not too expensive. However, I must say I found the clerks to be rude and somewhat snobbish and standoffish. I refuse to shop anywhere where the employees are rude, so I promptly left even though I was going to buy a pair of jeans . I had seen the same ones at Nordstrom, and they are always nice to me there, so I ended up buying them at Nordstrom. read more

The last thing I need is another shop to buy clothes and accessories at, but I liked their window displays and was so tempted to check it out on ladies night, and I'm glad I did. Such friendly, helpful sales people and prices that are more than fair. While some might scoff at a $80 dress, good luck finding one at Anthropologie, J Crew or Madewell that is similar. What I noticed was that the fabrics, the colors, the cut and style of the dresses and tops at this shop, were distinctively similar to their high- end sisters, yet for a fraction of the price. While the store was much too crowded for ladies night when I was there, and even though the sales staff were flying over the moon to help customers, I will be back to check it out when it's less busy. read more

This is a really cute shop. They have a good variety of clothes to choose from. They even carry brands you would find at a department store. However, a little limited size wise. If you see something you like, purchase it, it may not be there tomorrow. I wish the shop carried "trendier" leather jewelry, like something like Good Works. Prices are varied, depending on what you are looking for. Accessories are priced good. Clothes tends to be a bit high. I like to support local businesses so I visit regularly to see new offerings. read more

I love this store! The clothes are cute although some things are a little pricey. There is free alternations on regular price jeans which I love since I'm 5'1". The jewelry is cute and inexpensive. I have found the sales people to be very polite and helpful. read more

I read the reviews and found that they were exactly right! Cute selection of clothing, poor customer service. I decided to take a run in while I was in town and just so happened to be returning from the gym. I felt as though the sales ladies judged me for my appearance and were very snob like. It was almost like a "Pretty Woman" moment. I may not have looked like I had money but believe me I did and I wanted to spend it. Big Mistake, Huge. Will not be purchasing from this store. Will deal with snob sales women in Naperville or Oakbrook, Downers Grove is definitely not a town that can be snob like! read more

The sales associates are nice enough and the selection is fairly decent, however, be aware that you cannot return sale items. If you return a non-sale item you will receive store credit. My recommendation is to stick with Evereve or Anthropologie if you want a boutique experience. You'll get a better selection of clothing and you can return items with no problems. read more

Merchandise is decent but high priced. I have found some of their merchandise at Nordstrom rack on sale. I agree with the previous post that the staff is extremely snobby. If you're not a size 0-6 don't expect help, just demeaning looks. read more

I was travelling through Chicago, looking for something nice to wear to the club. (speedy j was in town). I wandered the streets aimlessly, until I found this store. It took me all of 2 seconds to find the sweetest hoodie ever. Then I found a nice peacoat as well! The woman who runs this shop was helpful, kind, and sweet. Best part is, the whole store was 20% off! I scored 50% off on the peacoat. I'll be buying online and stopping back next time I'm the area! read more

I am sad to write this review... I have frequented this shop for the past few years and their clothes are good quality and the choices change often. I've had much success and received many compliments on my choices. The women who work there are great and helpful. Unfortunately, you better love what you buy, and hope that you don't have a snag, etc. because you will not receive a refund, receipt or not! They will provide a store credit only - it does not expire if you ask for a gift card, but it is still a credit and not a refund. If you are like me, and probably bought that top that you weren't sure about completely, and it cost $78, you will not be happy when you can't return it because it may be another six months, a year or longer before I stop back in to purchase another piece. The clothes are pricey, but good quality, but unless I'm shopping for a special outing, etc., It's a lot of money to have sitting on a store credit. Just a head up. I was disappointed today. read more
