Here you'll find a large assortment of shoes, clothing and purses. There's a substantial amount of designer premium brands, such as Chanel, Prada, YSL, Gucci, Burberry, Celine, Luis Vuitton and more. Some are behind the glass, others are not. The store is well organized and most items look to be in good shape. They also sell contemporary branded items. I personally feel they are a bit overpriced. For instance I found the same exact purse at Nordstrom Rack and at Uptown Consignment. At Nordstrom Rack it is $39.99 and at Uptown Consignment it is $66.00. Some items are marked with, if it hasn't sold by a certain date then it'll be discounted by half price. I found a pair of Lululemon Leggings for $24.00 but decided against them because they were cropped. There was a stunning Celine purse, made of the loveliest, most delicate leather for $300. Let's see how long it'll stay on my mind. If you're looking to treat yourself to a fine luxury item, it might be worthwhile to check out Uptown Consignment. Be smart about knowing what things cost.

We'll be attending a Charity Banquet and Ball in a few weeks, and she was looking for a dress to wear. She found a beauty - a nice red Calvin Klein dress stickered at $134 but tagged at just $49.97. That's 62% off. Customer service was great. When we went to the register to pay, we saw a minor stitching defect at the back of the dress. Our cashier arranged for a runner to head back to the rack with us and we found the exact same dress in perfect condition. No complaints at all.

I can't comment on how the rental process works, as I haven't used this service. They sell many earrings, some are more unique then others, I've purchased a pair about a year ago, they still look just as good. The store is very tiny, but is styled really tastefully, having any more then three customers at once is already a crowd. They do have a fitting room, which is so important since all sales are final. If you're looking to support a small business while looking for a formal dress Linden might satisfy your needs.

We've visited their Simsbury store a bunch of times, and we saw pretty much the same selection of low priced goods here in Glastonbury - men's & women's clothing, shoes, household goods, artwork, books, toys, etc. We caught a 50% off sale on clothing yesterday, and I walked out with a $15 blazer for $7.50. Pretty sweet, eh? All proceeds go to charity (The Village for Families) and the store employees are all volunteers. The two women we interacted with were as nice and friendly as could be, we really enjoyed chatting with them. Bottom line? You can score some great bargains and support a worthy charity all at the same time.

The store manager, Susan Jordon, was so upbeat, energetic, friendly, and made my shopping experience one of the best I've had in a very, very long time. I came in to return an order of 4 pants I purcahsed online as a first time customer at J.Jill, I wasn't sure what size to order. Susan simply explained that I was ordering way too big and helped me find the perfect work pant for my new job. She set me up comfortably in a fitting room and brought me endless options to try - taking all the guesswork out of shopping, she picked out items that she thought would fit me well. Once we found the perfect fit, she found the pant in every color they had and went above & beyond to find me the only black pair left in a back stock room (double checking the computer inventory one last time before checking out). She was so friendly & kind - she was a complete joy to shop with. You don't run into this level of customer service at most retail stores.
