Jean has been in business for over 50 years. She is the absolute best. Due to some medical conditions, I am putting on weight right before my daughter's wedding. My dress doesn't look good on me now. Jean took her time with me and I am set with everything underneath my dress. It looks great on me again. She is a miracle worker. She takes her time with each person, and she really knows her stuff. Have used Jean's twice now and have been completely satisfied with the service and items that I have received. I was professionally fitted for my wedding garments and returned recently to pick up another item. Friendly, prompt service both times. They also keep an index card file with a record of your purchases. I was able to stop in and pick up the same bra that I purchased at my first visit in a different color. They pulled my card, walked over to the rack and pull the bra that I wanted. Couldn't be any easier. The only drawback, is that it's cash or check only. It would be convenient if they accepted debit/credit cards. However, I understand that they are a small business and credit card processing cuts into profits. First they don't take credit card! Second they have a limited selection. I went in there looking for a bra to wear for a wedding. I was measured, and when I told them the style of bra I was looking to wear I was give only two options, and a hostile attitude. Both bras very ugly and nothing like what I asked for! When I said to the sales person I was looking for something different, she continued to berate me about not knowing what I wanted. It was the worst experience I have ever had shopping for a bra. I went to Jean's to find undergarments for my mother-of-the-bride dress with a low back. I was in a panic - she was my last hope, as previous shops had nothing in my size &/or no bra that would not show in the back (braless is not an option!). Jean has impressive stock of all types of undergarments in all sizes. She fitted me for a corset which works beautifully under my dress! (I had suggested a corset at another shop but they told me it wouldn't work, not bothering to fit me!). I also purchased some shapewear panties & a regular bra. Might be good helping ladies with bras, but one size fits all lingerie. She told me lingerie is not returnable in state of pa., it was a dress, package had no panties in it which she claimed, 50 excuses for not being able to return. the dress sleeves were size of a wrist, so too small to get a arm in. wouldn't even exchange store credit, mean lady, only reason still around, lives in top of building. guys do not waste your time, find a better location. rather than do my 20$ store credit, would rather lose customer, THAT'S GREAT SERVICE? read more

VERY DISAPPOINTED. Warning: if you buy a bra from Jean's Lingerie in Pottstown and cut the outer tag off (but still keep the inside tag attached), they WILL NOT allow you to return it. I went in for a fitting, bought a bra based on how they measured me and after buying it and wearing it for 30 minutes realized it was way too tight and uncomfortable. It also created major back bulge because it was way too tight. Also, their bras are way too expensive. A normal bra (with inside lining), like you'd find in Boscovs or other department stores, costs close to $50!! I called Jean about returning it and was told I could not. When I told her I was disappointed, especially since most department stores allow you to return items, she abruptly said "Okay, thank you" and hung up on me. This place isn't worth my time and money.
