We love Filipino food! Finally got to try Jeepney by way of Doordash. The food arrived fast and smelled delicious! Included in our order was a complimentary poke taster. Sweet! We ordered the lechon kawali plate with spicy Mayo, rice, pansit and Mac salad. We also got the Jeepney burrito with beef tapa and spicy sauce. Chicken katsu curry with eggs and of course, an order of lumpia. We finished most it off with a few Hawaiian sun drinks. Everything was flavorful. We were left satisfied. I only wish there was more curry on the chicken katsu. Love curry! Maybe more meat in the burrito also. I definitely felt like the hype was worth it for this place. read more

I've only ever had snack options from this food truck like their lumpia, pork buns, dumplings, and chiccharrones. They've always been tasty, and a nice size portion for the price. I would love to try more of their offerings, and get an actual meal from them I just am never super hungry when I see their truck! When they're parked at a brewery the chiccharrones and buns are always a great snack with some beers. The pork bun is very flavorful and probably my favorite item from this truck. Service is always quick and friendly. If you see them parked somewhere give them a try for some Filipino Hawaiian fusion eats! read more

I got a burrito with Adobo pork through door dash. The burrito was enormous and filling. White race made up the bulk of the burrito, which I wasn't super-into. The meat was very sweet, a little cloying for my tastes. I'd probably get some if I were near the food truck, I'd like to try some other items. I thought the burrito was just A-OK though. read more

I went to their base location and gave them a second chance. I purchased their spam musubi. $4.00 for a tiny musubi! The rice was cold. Meat was hard. It tasted like it was from the day before. I'm not one to put a business out there, but man, if you're going to put out food, put some pride into it! Even in Hawaii, where they sell musubis for that price, it's made fresh / and on the same day. Wtf. So shame. This was the second time. What can I say about this place? AMAZING. Just so so good. We've been here 6 months and wish I tried this place 6 months ago so I could eat here weekly. First off.. not many Filipino-Hawaiian restaurants in Alaska! So I am very happy that this place is on the way home! There's dine in and take out. They do have 2 other locations as well in the Arctic area and on the military base within the BX, summertime they've a food truck! But this one in particular is located right off of Old Seward situated in a small business area. From ordering to cooking and to-go.. took about 15-20 minutes for the chicken katsu curry plate and lechon kawali plate! I'd recommend dining in for your food to be fresh and hot to plate. The price for the amount and variety of food is very reasonable considering cooking many of these dishes require multiple ingredients. The chicken katsu and lechon bits are filling and savory, still crunchy and didn't get soggy on the drive home. Smells delicious and tastes of a comforting home cooked meal.. which is what is needed when you don't want to cook for yourself. read more

This place is amazing. First head about them when they started their food truck and it has been great ever since. I am glad that we have a Filipino Hawaiian fusion restaurant here in Anchorage. My favorite is the pork adobo very good flavor. I usually get the adobo plate with the pancit and rice. The lumpia are also very good too. Yelp 100 Challenge 2017 - #58/100 Caught this food truck at the Spenard Food Truck Carnival. Ordered the sisig fries. So good, love the salty and vinegary flavors of the chopped pork cheeks over hot fries. The ube lumpia (egg rolls) came out steaming hot. Sweet and creamy ube jam inside the crispy egg rolls makes for an exotic dessert. The pandan iced tea is light and sweet. I would've liked a little more pandan flavor though. They also had pineapple and avocado flavored ice candy. Ice candy is a cheap, well-known Filipino summer treat when you can't afford ice cream. They have a few more items on their menu that I'd like to check out. I'll check them out on K street eats too. read more

Visited their food truck off of the Seward Highway. No line, should've known better. The steam buns (2/$7) I can only describe as tasting like bad tap water. Have no idea why they tasted that way, maybe the plastic they were wrapped in. The butter garlic shrimp entree ($15) "made popular by Hawaii's own food trucks" was a HUGE disappointment. I'm certain they forgot the butter and garlic as it tasted like shrimp boiled in paprika water. I've made Giovanni's recipe at home and it's about five ingredients and super easy, so not sure how they ruined this. Friend ordered the pork skewer. I took a bite and immediately started looking around for dog poop - it was coming from my mouth. Apparently it's pork intestine skewers and it smelled like there was still feces in it. I've ordered from this food truck a few times at various events around town. It's okay, but not amazing. Maybe Filipino food just isn't my cup of tea. I mainly go to this food truck for the steamed pork buns. I'm not the biggest fan of pork (which is probably partly why I'm not that into Filipino food) but they're delicious. Although $4 for one is pretty pricey. Today I ordered an adobo combo plate, which included chicken, garlic rice, and pancit (a noodle dish with vegetables). It was pretty bland as a whole. The chicken was tender but lacked flavor, and I didn't taste any garlic in the rice. Just seemed like regular steamed white rice to me. The pancit was alright. The plate was $13, which seems expensive for a food truck, but their portion sizes for the combo plates are generous. I do want to try the ube pancakes sometime since that sounds appealing. As for the various pork intestine and pig ear dishes, I'll pass. read more

This is some of the best food in town. Period. The grilled liempo is my favorite, it has always been my go to, but everything I've had is amazing and will fill you up. We were so excited to see this place. There was a Jeepney restaurant in New York that closed a while back, but of course I could compare this two named Resto, while one is high end and this one is a more of walked in walk out place. The Hawaiian/Filipino fusion was more intriguing to us. We asked the front/cashier about some dishes that he was not familiar Which probably what he heard and what he was offering was not the same. So we specifically just ready the menus to him and ordered. Halo-Halo ( shaved ice with ice cream and some sweet at the bottom, normally served with flan), Buchi aka: mochi and Mochi chicken with pancit . It was A ok but not as a "wow". My comment: the Staff that works at the place is not so accustom nor not culturally engaged. He was more on the phone texting than waiting and asking customer what they need. First of all...I absolutely love food trucks! I love the authenticity, it vibes through the food, people and community. That being said, this is one of my favorite food trucks in Anchorage. It brings back a lot of childhood comforting memories. I do make it a point to stop in and visit when I'm in Anchorage and I order the same dishes. -Lechon Kawali plate: I love the crispness of the pork and the sauce provided goes perfect with it. This is one of my favorite dishes to order. The portions are always more than enough for me, I always have left overs. My only complaint is that recently they have been cutting the lechon quite thinly like. So I feel it's not as generous as it used to be. Still tasty but I hate when it's cut so thin..I feel that crispy goodness isn't as appreciated as much then. I loved it when they served with the the garlic rice (my favorite!!!!!!!). Now it's just white rice, I think if you ask for it..then sure, but it's not an automatic item like before. -Liempo plate: Overall, this dish hasn't disappointed me yet. It's very flavorful and tender. Enough said..I love this one! -Hawaiian BBQ plate: I've had this a couple of times. The food is good, they give a lot. It's just not one of my favorites that they have listed on their menu. Overall..their deserts look amazing, I'm yet to try it. Also their other items, I'm yet to try. VERY POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE PHONE ETIQUETTE! I called their Jeepney Old Seward Highway branch to place an order over the phone for take out, the lady with an accent answered the phone after 6 rings with a message " hold for a moment", she put me on hold - had heard a background of people talking and ordering in the restaurant. I waited for her (the cashier maybe, because the lady with an accent answered the phone with no proper greetings) - patiently waited for her to get back to me while being held on the phone for about 8 minutes, and all she did was hanged up the phone, I was so upset being held for abt 8 minutes and she dropped my call. The owner of the restaurant should be aware of the rudeness of their staff over the phone and get them trained on proper phone etiquette, excellent customer service is the key to your business success, treat your customer right not only in person but also over the phone. read more

We tried Jeepney this week while we were out for drinks. Generally I love to try new things, but I think Philippine food is just not something I enjoy. While we were ordering they were out of a lot of food on their menu, which was a bummer. But I understand it's part of the food truck scene. I ordered their nachos, which were HUGE! Y'all I'm talking a whole to go plate so full it cannot close! They were pretty good, but I didn't enjoy the garlic sauce. The pork however was very tasty! They're currently set up in the parking lot at the exchange on JBER. I got the lechon kawali (deep fried pork belly) combo plate and it was packed full of food! You definitely get your money's worth! The combo comes with two scoops of white rice AND pansit (noodles with chicken and veggies). My coworkers also ordered some lumpia and Turon (plantain wrapped in lumpia wrapper and deep fried) and they were authentic and delicious. We were excited to happen upon Jeepney on Arctic the other day. We were looking forward to some authentic Filipino/Hawaiian cuisine. The female owner sat at the front counter deeply involved in a very loud disruptive zoom call. The loudness echoed off the almost empty dining room. The cashier and I were having to shout to be heard over the call! I had a couple questions about the food & no one knew the answers. We ordered & sat down. When we got the food I couldn't believe the quality was so low! The pansit looked like leftovers thrown together and doused in oil. The quality of the food was terrible and very expensive. All in all, unfriendly, not helpful staff people, dirty tables, almost no customers & an over $50 lunch that was inedible. We left disappointed & fed the food to our dogs. I hope that the owners and workers see this review as I believe they can improve. This was literally the first time we went for a sit down meal inside a restaurant since 2020 & what a mistake it was. Friendliness, not having to shout over the inconsiderate owner in a computer call that was so loud & oblivious to paying customers was ridiculous & I know it was the female owner. I hope they get it together & remember that customers are the lifeblood of any restaurant and to not care about them is a real shame. We most definitely will not be back. read more

We could tell that the kitchen had experience cooking this style of food with good flavor balance and a easy to eat cut portions the order satisfied our barbeque craving. The sisig burrito was the best burrito I have ever had I think. Fatty garlicy savory goodness. If you are a garlic lover you will really enjoy this garlic bomb. The barbecue chicken was fine but not as life changing as that burrito. Unfortunately they were out of the pandan iced tea but they gave me a sprite for half off to compensate. The food took more than 45 minutes to come out, they were completely disorganized and the food really lacked any flavor.
