Always look at newest reviews!!! We saw the 4.4 red stars and thought this was gona be an amazing place. The first red flag was 1pm on week day and there was only 3 parties in the place. The one and only server was very nice, but being the only one, twice when new parties entered he would walk away. Wife ordered chicken katsu rice plate. The overall theme is everything is bland. EVERYTHING.. Her cabbage slaw/salad had a white creamy sauce, my best guess is mayo mixed with ranch but only if both was every kind of free there is, fat, sugar, carb, keto, and most importantly, taste FREE. Her rice was purple, there were purple chunks, not sure if it was potato, the rice was mushy, wet, and Bland. Her kutsu sauce was made from the same everything free ingredients. Come on man, Kutsu sauce is 3 ingredients and all three are bold flavors, how do you mess that up. But ok, they want to be fusion, maybe add some cilantro or chili. She asked for soy sauce and salt to try and add some flavor. Half way through she has me hold out my hand and pours a handful of the "salt" from the shaker. It was not salt granules, almost looked like a salt substitute. I honestly don't know what it was but when I tasted it I would be extremely generous by saying I got a 25% salt flavor. Normally, you put 2-4 tablespoons of salt in your hand and lick your finger, when you taste that, you get a powerful punch in the mouth of dam, that's salty. I was dumbfounded, if they are using that "salt" to cook with them makes since why everything is so bland. I don't want to repeat the Bland Bland Bland theme over and over. I had bulgogi, kutsu, and BBQ chicken tacos. I will skip to the end- yep, you guessed it, Bland. We did have the bulgogi egg roll, I do want to touch on this only because I was so mad at myself once we left I dug Into the reviews. These are one of the most positive commented items, BUT those comments are from over a year ago. Overall, 11$ for two small egg rolls cut in half is ridiculous. Then if you bite/taste just the egg roll, there is a 5% taste of bulgogi sauce. Which again is so explosive of a sauce. But, If you drown the egg roll in the creamy mild sriracha sauce then the egg roll is ok. If you forget what it should taste like and just concentrate on how did they make the sauce with no heat, then you could get at least a 2-2.5 star. On our visit to Anchorage on May 30, 2026, I knew I wanted to try Seoul Casa, a fusion restaurant that combines Korean and Mexican food. My wife and I were NOT disappointed. We entered the restaurant at 7:24 PM on a Saturday and were seated immediately with no reservations needed. Unlike the over-priced restaurants downtown, there are tons of free parking spaces (like you would see at a supermarket parking lot). We were served by Michael and Emory (I hope I spelled her name correctly). Both were very friendly, with Emory even giving us suggestions for a couple of restaurants to try in Fairbanks when we would go there a few days later. I forgot to take pictures of the inside of the restaurant, but it was very bright, quiet, and inviting. After we placed our orders, the food came very quickly. My spicy pork Kimchrito and my wife's 3 Amigos tacos were both very tasty and very filling. We also had the bulgogi egg rolls with their casa-made spicy mayo sauce. Interestingly, they cut the two egg rolls lengthwise. We dipped them in the spicy mayo sauce and they were fantastic. I am not sure when we will next visit Anchorage, but returning to this restaurant will DEFINITELY be on my list. Tots were good and my friend enjoyed his food, but I got a kimchirito with tofu (I'm vegetarian) and it was terrible. Disappointing experience - Misleading menu descriptions. I was very disappointed with the "Kalbi" bowl I ordered here. In authentic Korean cuisine, Kalbi strictly refers to short ribs (usually beef). However, what I was served was just cheap, thinly sliced beef(Bulgogi). The most frustrating part is that they actually have real, authentic Kalbi on another part of the same menu, which means management knows exactly what Kalbi is. And he try to explain and mislead me. They are intentionally playing word games, using the name "Kalbi" to describe the sweet soy marinade rather than the actual premium cut of meat, likely hoping customers won't know the difference. Using cheap meat substitutes under a premium name is highly misleading. If you are looking for real Kalbi, look closely at the menu or avoid this place. read more

I have been wanting to go here for years but my husband is ... unpredictable when it comes to food. He tends to have traditional taste buds and I was fearful he wouldn't like it. Well I caught him in the right mood and he agreed to go. We walked in and immediately he was questioning his decision because the interior is very modern- its beautiful but comfortable. I LOVE IT. it has a nice urban vibe. The staff was quick to arrive and take our order. The have an awesome drink menu. I didn't realize they served alcohol and was VERY excited to learn they have an unusual Korean drink I've been looking for. Since I drank the whole damn bottle, I'll be honest, I don't remember about the details of the meal, but it was all really delicious and we will definitely be back. The Kimchi burrito is delicious. However, the 'taco salad' was the laziest dish I've ever seen. They have the nerve to call it a taco salad when it's actually just what most call nachos. Chips. We stumbled upon Seoul Casa, a Korean Mexican fusion restaurant, when visiting a local bakery, and knew we had to try it while in Anchorage. The perfect moment came after a long hike: service was friendly and prompt and the food was exactly what we hoped it would be--a perfect blend of Korean and Mexican flavors. Sometimes fusion spots don't quite make the flavors work, but we ended our visit attempting to convince our server to open a sister restaurant in Philadelphia (I'm not promising anything, Philly, but he seemed interested!). We tried the Kimchirito (Korean burrito with flour tortilla, kimchi fried rice, sour cream, spicy mayo, pico de gallo, green leaf lettuce, melted cheddar/mozzarella cheese, and spicy pork) and the K-Town Nachos (Seoul Casa's homemade chips baked with cheddar/mozzarella cheese, topped with jalapeños, pico de gallo, sour cream, Seoul Casa's sweet chili sauce, kalbi beef). Both were terrific, though we preferred the flavor of the kalbi beef more than the spicy pork. I have never left here disappointed. This one lands in my "all the right things" category. Good flavour combinations, small menu, priced okay. It's a good fusion option for simple and classic flavour profiles. Plus they have tots for my inner 2 year old self!! My go to is the kimichirrito. Although the kimchi is somewhat mild it compliments the food perfectly. Also don't sleep on their Philly it's pretty delicious! Overall: 4.5/5 (dine in) We got a nice table by the fireplace which was nice given how cold it was outside. They have K-pop music blasting with music videos on the big screen tvs. We were stuffed after the meal but left giggly after drinking the rice wine & cocktail so A great experience overall. K-Town Wings (12 Wings For $18.50): We got half Korean fire sauce and half garlic soy sauce. They were both really good. Pretty surprised about the garlic soy flavor since it's typically really light when we get it at other Korean restaurants but this one had enough flavor. Bulgogi Eggrolls ($9): I wasn't a huge fan of the egg roll wrapper but my husband really liked this appetizer. I didn't enjoy it as much so I only ate one piece. Fried Fish Taco ($5.75): This was pretty average. Wish the fried fish had more flavor. We got corn tortilla which went well with it. 3 Amigos Tacos ($15): This came with kalbi, spicy pork, & KBBQ chicken. We chose flour tortillas which they fried so you have to eat the tacos right away, otherwise they get hard. My favorites are the kalbi and spicy pork since they had the most flavor. Kim Jung Mule Soju Cocktail ($10): Taste like your typical Moscow mule but a bit sweeter. It's very light Makgeolli: We got a sample of this to see what rice wine taste like. It's pretty sweet & easy for anyone to drink. There's no alcohol taste to it. Bokbumja Black Raspberry Rice Wine ($16): This was surprisingly really good. We rarely have rice wine and this was our first time trying a flavored rice one. We loved it and I might like it more than regular wine. We just went here on 11/30 for our Anniversary! Some may think this may not be so special for an Anniversary but we have been married 38 years and our yearly event is to go to a new restaurant that we have never gone too! We'll being in Alaska all your life it's getting hard to find new restaurants and ones that stick around and have good reviews. Updating my review to 5 stars because I've revisited many times since my first review and I've had a wonderful experience each time. They've added a lot of new amazing things to their menu since opening. I LOVE the bulgogi egg rolls and the kimchi tots. The bulgogi meat is tender and juicy and I love the spicy mayo dipping sauce that comes with the egg rolls. The kimichi tots are an unconventional combination of ingredients (tater tots, cheese, grilled kimchi and onions with spicy mayo and sour cream drizzled on top) but they're delicious. You can also added meat like BBQ chicken or kalbi to the kimchi tots which makes them even better. The Three Amigos are still a favorite, but they've added other tacos to the menu as well. I've tried the shrimp and tofu tacos and I enjoyed them. I highly recommend the quesadillas - cooked to the perfect level of crispiness and cheesiness. Spicy pork is my favorite. You really can't go wrong with the spicy pork in any of the dishes here. Excellent customer service. The employees are great about refilling water and answering any questions you may about the menu. I can't wait to visit again next time I'm in Anchorage! read more
