Got some takeout for dinner last night. I tried the rice bowl with kimchi fried rice, Kalbi beef & an over easy egg. The kimchi fried rice could have used more punch. Maybe more spice, or more kimchi? Bacon? I couldn't tell what it was that was missing but I've tried many versions of this in Hawaii and it was blander than those. The Kalbi beef wasn't ribs! I was disappointed, it was just like shaved beef. Egg was good. Everything not bad, but in my opinion could have been better. Husband tried the kimchirito, or kimchi burrito. He said it was fine, enjoyed it but won't seek it out again due to the off-the-wall fusion of flavors. He did say it was nice to be able to sit at the bar and have a cold beer while he waited for our take out order. Our child tried an order of gyoza which were great! She also liked the seasoned tater tots that came with her dad's burrito. Might come back to try the actual Kalbi rib plate. read more

Always look at newest reviews!!! We saw the 4.4 red stars and thought this was gona be an amazing place. The first red flag was 1pm on week day and there was only 3 parties in the place. The one and only server was very nice, but being the only one, twice when new parties entered he would walk away. Wife ordered chicken katsu rice plate. The overall theme is everything is bland. EVERYTHING.. Her cabbage slaw/salad had a white creamy sauce, my best guess is mayo mixed with ranch but only if both was every kind of free there is, fat, sugar, carb, keto, and most importantly, taste FREE. Her rice was purple, there were purple chunks, not sure if it was potato, the rice was mushy, wet, and Bland. Her kutsu sauce was made from the same everything free ingredients. Come on man, Kutsu sauce is 3 ingredients and all three are bold flavors, how do you mess that up. But ok, they want to be fusion, maybe add some cilantro or chili. She asked for soy sauce and salt to try and add some flavor. Half way through she has me hold out my hand and pours a handful of the "salt" from the shaker. It was not salt granules, almost looked like a salt substitute. I honestly don't know what it was but when I tasted it I would be extremely generous by saying I got a 25% salt flavor. Normally, you put 2-4 tablespoons of salt in your hand and lick your finger, when you taste that, you get a powerful punch in the mouth of dam, that's salty. I was dumbfounded, if they are using that "salt" to cook with them makes since why everything is so bland. I don't want to repeat the Bland Bland Bland theme over and over. I had bulgogi, kutsu, and BBQ chicken tacos. I will skip to the end- yep, you guessed it, Bland. We did have the bulgogi egg roll, I do want to touch on this only because I was so mad at myself once we left I dug Into the reviews. These are one of the most positive commented items, BUT those comments are from over a year ago. Overall, 11$ for two small egg rolls cut in half is ridiculous. Then if you bite/taste just the egg roll, there is a 5% taste of bulgogi sauce. Which again is so explosive of a sauce. But, If you drown the egg roll in the creamy mild sriracha sauce then the egg roll is ok. If you forget what it should taste like and just concentrate on how did they make the sauce with no heat, then you could get at least a 2-2.5 star. On our visit to Anchorage on May 30, 2026, I knew I wanted to try Seoul Casa, a fusion restaurant that combines Korean and Mexican food. My wife and I were NOT disappointed. We entered the restaurant at 7:24 PM on a Saturday and were seated immediately with no reservations needed. Unlike the over-priced restaurants downtown, there are tons of free parking spaces (like you would see at a supermarket parking lot). We were served by Michael and Emory (I hope I spelled her name correctly). Both were very friendly, with Emory even giving us suggestions for a couple of restaurants to try in Fairbanks when we would go there a few days later. I forgot to take pictures of the inside of the restaurant, but it was very bright, quiet, and inviting. After we placed our orders, the food came very quickly. My spicy pork Kimchrito and my wife's 3 Amigos tacos were both very tasty and very filling. We also had the bulgogi egg rolls with their casa-made spicy mayo sauce. Interestingly, they cut the two egg rolls lengthwise. We dipped them in the spicy mayo sauce and they were fantastic. I am not sure when we will next visit Anchorage, but returning to this restaurant will DEFINITELY be on my list. If you want to try food that is different from most downtown restaurants, look up Seoul Casa on your GPS mapping app and head their way. I hope you will enjoy their food as much as we did. read more

Updating my review as after this evening's pickup from Seoul Casa I think they have officially gone downhill in service. Called in the pickup order, they said 10-15 minutes. I let them know it would be closer to 15 minutes for me. When I got there, about 20 minutes after the call, there was no one in the front. I waited a few minutes but no one...I could hear a group of them having personal conversation in the back and I went to be more visible to them, closer to the kitchen door. They saw me and someone finally came out..he seemed annoyed to break up the personal conversation. I let him know I was there for a pickup order. There were no "to-gos" ready on the side table yet...he checked in the kitchen and said they needed a few minutes to make the food. Paid him cash but since he was so annoyed at me, gave no tip...he kept the $0.50 change due back btw. Everything with an ungrateful and annoyed attitude, no appreciation for my business. It was similar the last time I picked up there as well, not friendly or appreciative of a customer. Thought I'd share and let everyone know there are other options in town - we won't be back...with their attitude towards us these last few pick ups, we probably won't be missed. read more

I have been wanting to go here for years but my husband is ... unpredictable when it comes to food. He tends to have traditional taste buds and I was fearful he wouldn't like it. Well I caught him in the right mood and he agreed to go. We walked in and immediately he was questioning his decision because the interior is very modern- its beautiful but comfortable. I LOVE IT. it has a nice urban vibe. The staff was quick to arrive and take our order. The have an awesome drink menu. I didn't realize they served alcohol and was VERY excited to learn they have an unusual Korean drink I've been looking for. Since I drank the whole damn bottle, I'll be honest, I don't remember about the details of the meal, but it was all really delicious and we will definitely be back. Disappointing experience - Misleading menu descriptions. I was very disappointed with the "Kalbi" bowl I ordered here. In authentic Korean cuisine, Kalbi strictly refers to short ribs (usually beef). However, what I was served was just cheap, thinly sliced beef(Bulgogi). The most frustrating part is that they actually have real, authentic Kalbi on another part of the same menu, which means management knows exactly what Kalbi is. And he try to explain and mislead me. They are intentionally playing word games, using the name "Kalbi" to describe the sweet soy marinade rather than the actual premium cut of meat, likely hoping customers won't know the difference. Using cheap meat substitutes under a premium name is highly misleading. If you are looking for real Kalbi, look closely at the menu or avoid this place. read more

Quick and friendly service in a cute atmosphere. Love the giant projection TV for sporting events. The food was also really good. We ordered the crab rangoons, the sweet corn, and some tacos. The sweet corn was very good but unexpected, as I was thinking it would be similar to Elotes. It is not (which isn't bad, just more of an FYI). There's lots of tables and the staff was friendly and attentive. I was happy to see a handful of vegetarian friendly options. I opted for the veggie fried rice and it was delicious! Still confused about the projector displaying a POV of walking through South Korea. Food was good the "gyoza" or mandu whatever was very generic but hits the spot The Crab Rangoon were more cream cheese than crab definitely won't order again. Katsu was good portion was good. I got the kalbi cheesesteak with Tots. I really liked the tots. Tots got a 8/10. I didnt get a chance to try it with their sauce. This place was great! I visited Alaska for a work trip and decided to come here. Got greeted and seated right away. The overall ambiance is chill and casual. They play a lot, if not solely, kpop. We stumbled upon Seoul Casa, a Korean Mexican fusion restaurant, when visiting a local bakery, and knew we had to try it while in Anchorage. The perfect moment came after a long hike: service was friendly and prompt and the food was exactly what we hoped it would be--a perfect blend of Korean and Mexican flavors. Sometimes fusion spots don't quite make the flavors work, but we ended our visit attempting to convince our server to open a sister restaurant in Philadelphia (I'm not promising anything, Philly, but he seemed interested!). We tried the Kimchirito (Korean burrito with flour tortilla, kimchi fried rice, sour cream, spicy mayo, pico de gallo, green leaf lettuce, melted cheddar/mozzarella cheese, and spicy pork) and the K-Town Nachos (Seoul Casa's homemade chips baked with cheddar/mozzarella cheese, topped with jalapeños, pico de gallo, sour cream, Seoul Casa's sweet chili sauce, kalbi beef). Both were terrific, though we preferred the flavor of the kalbi beef more than the spicy pork. I have never left here disappointed. This one lands in my "all the right things" category. Good flavour combinations, small menu, priced okay. It's a good fusion option for simple and classic flavour profiles. Plus they have tots for my inner 2 year old self!! My go to is the kimichirrito. Although the kimchi is somewhat mild it compliments the food perfectly. Also don't sleep on their Philly it's pretty delicious! Did I mention they have tots (said in the best Napoleon Dynamite voice) I recommend going early or at the tail end of lunch because they can get crazy, but they're always friendly and pretty fast most of the time. read more

Overall: 4.5/5 (dine in) We got a nice table by the fireplace which was nice given how cold it was outside. They have K-pop music blasting with music videos on the big screen tvs. We were stuffed after the meal but left giggly after drinking the rice wine & cocktail so A great experience overall. K-Town Wings (12 Wings For $18.50): We got half Korean fire sauce and half garlic soy sauce. They were both really good. Pretty surprised about the garlic soy flavor since it's typically really light when we get it at other Korean restaurants but this one had enough flavor. Bulgogi Eggrolls ($9): I wasn't a huge fan of the egg roll wrapper but my husband really liked this appetizer. I didn't enjoy it as much so I only ate one piece. Fried Fish Taco ($5.75): This was pretty average. Wish the fried fish had more flavor. We got corn tortilla which went well with it. 3 Amigos Tacos ($15): This came with kalbi, spicy pork, & KBBQ chicken. We chose flour tortillas which they fried so you have to eat the tacos right away, otherwise they get hard. My favorites are the kalbi and spicy pork since they had the most flavor. Kim Jung Mule Soju Cocktail ($10): Taste like your typical Moscow mule but a bit sweeter. It's very light Makgeolli: We got a sample of this to see what rice wine taste like. It's pretty sweet & easy for anyone to drink. There's no alcohol taste to it. Bokbumja Black Raspberry Rice Wine ($16): This was surprisingly really good. We rarely have rice wine and this was our first time trying a flavored rice one. We loved it and I might like it more than regular wine. It has a subtle boldness and hint of sweetness so it's the best of both worlds. read more

We just went here on 11/30 for our Anniversary! Some may think this may not be so special for an Anniversary but we have been married 38 years and our yearly event is to go to a new restaurant that we have never gone too! We'll being in Alaska all your life it's getting hard to find new restaurants and ones that stick around and have good reviews. It doesn't have to be expensive, just has to be somewhere we have never been too before. Well after coming here we will definitely be back!! The service was spot on and the food was phenomenal! Our server was Heather and she was as sweet as they come. The other gentleman checking on us were very polite and kind. I ordered the bulgogi egg rolls and my husband ordered the burrito kimchito with tots both dishes were excellent and we had leftovers. I ordered some sojoo (I believe) first time and it was so yummy.
