    Chicken Adobo Bowl

Had the chicken adobo bowl. Fantastic! Large juicy chunks well-seasoned throughout, herbs n veggies were fresh, rice wasn't overcooked. Good value for the price. Will order again.

We tried the grilled bbq chicken skewers. IT came with garlic rice. They were juicy and seasoned very well. The rice was tasty too. The person taking orders was quick and efficient.

crushed box due to not being the right size, and just air/space between the food and the top of the box

Paid over $200 for overnight shipping (within FL) and their frozen food to be delivered via goldbelly. The packaging was so terrible, with only three small freezer packs that all food was thawed, and now unable to be used for an event planned later in the week. Apparently their pinoy pride does not extend to shipped goods. Supremely disappointed‼

Came for lunch with a few friends and we decided to split two plates. You order at the front, they provide a buzzer, and food is ready in about 10-15 min! Portions are a little small but presentation and flavors was amazing. I loved the tapa sisig, ube pan de sal with cheese and the tostones! We also got the adobo egg rolls. Not my favorite, but interesting to try. The food it pretty pricey, but I think it's worth trying to get your Filipino Food fix.

Satisfying but not very impressive Filipino food. It's located in the 1-800-Lucky Asian food court in Wynwood and offers a menu of many Filipino staples, and while everything was nicely presented, the flavors just didn't quite hit right. We got the adobo chicken bowl, pancit, and a crispy chicken tender sandwich. The adobo chicken came with garlic rice, shredded pickled veggies, and some greens, and while it had a nice grill flavor it was more vinegary than savory and didnt have that nice stewed adobo flavor you'd expect. At least the lumpia it came with was pretty nice, a bit crispy with a meaty filling. The pancit tasted like sesame noodles and had a nice portion of unfortunately kind of dry chicken. The best thing, which wasn't really a Filipino dish, was actually the chicken sandwich which came with a few large chicken tenders, pickled veggies, their seasoned mayo/aioli, and a fluffy bun. At this price point it was pretty comparable to the other restaurants in 1-800-Lucky and about on par for the area, and I guess it will do in a pinch, but you can find cheaper more satisfying Filipino food if you're willing to drive out just a bit.

I was visiting from Las Vegas and was really excited to try Jeepney Filipino Restaurant, but I was very disappointed. The girl taking our order was rude and unwelcoming, which immediately ruined the vibe. I ordered the adobo bowl, but it was served barely warm not what I expected from a filipino place

    Pancit and good pork BBQ
    Kevin A.

The food was decent, not amazing but still tasty. The pancit didn't have that authentic Filipino flavor. The sisig was warm, not the usual sizzling sisig. The lumpia looked like it had been reheated. But the pork BBQ was the star of the show, it tasted just like it should. The place is in a food court where you order and your food is brought to you on cafeteria plates. It was pretty quiet when I was there with a modern vibe. The prices were a bit high for what you got. And the drinks were overpriced and not even cold. They did not offer Halo Halo at the time I was there which is a shame. I am sorry Jeepney but you could represent better for the culture.

I only had the Thicc-Fil-A but it was awesome. I added an egg and removed a piece of chicken because this sandwich only needs 2 pieces. I also ate it open faced because the bun to filling ratio was off even without that 3rd piece. But still, the flavor was spot on!

Thai iced tea, Pork and shrimp lumpia ($11)
    Felicia R.

So nice to have a Filipino option at the Asian food hall that is 1-800-Lucky! The lumpia ($11) has the right flavor, but we all know they are usually fatter rolls, however it's nice that it comes with 6 quantity not 4 like other places? I still loved it. Bbq chicken was yum. I'll try more of the menu next time I'm in Wynwood. Very happy to see Jeepney in Miami!!!

Nice food, good cook times and clean station, service was nice and the food was a nice mid-event snack.

    Chicken and Pork Sisig

Filipino food in 1-800-Lucky? I'm there. I have been meaning to make my way to Wynwood to give this place a try and finally got the opportunity to. This food stand is towards the back of the 1-800-Lucky food hall. I ordered the pork & chicken sisig. This came with rice and in a sizzling pan. My family also got their longanisa (Filipino sweet sausage that is usually eaten for breakfast), some BBQ skewers and Halo Halo. I'm not sure if it was great because I was hungry but I really enjoyed it. Even though I am Filipino, I'm not the hugest fan of the food when eating out because I've grown up eating it all day, every day. With that said, I would gladly pick Jeepney as a spot to eat while dining here. If you've never been to Jeepney or to this particular area to eat- you order, take your buzzer and grab a table in this mini food hall. Once your buzzer goes off, you can go back to the stand to pick up your food. If you want water, they have a station to fill your own cup for ease. There was also a few desserts available by Tita Baby's Sweet Shop at their stand. You know my motto- there's always room for dessert!

Add in one of the nicest old ladies I have ever met and you have yourself a great build up. This is a restaurant which happens to stock some Filipino snacks and dry goods on one wall. The tables are old and weather-worn. The buffet is 18 trays of hot food, plus a condiment area and some desserts and coffee. For $18 it's all you can eat and soda or water is included. In downtown Miami that's madness. But the food. Downright amazing. You eat off paper plates on a cafeteria style tray. It is simple. And it is awesome. I served myself a bite of about 12 dishes, tasted them all, enjoyed them all, and went back for second of the best stuff. There are signs posted gently asking you only take as much as you can eat and that is totally reasonable. It's all you can eat man - take a little and if you want more go back! No big deal. But whereas some restaurants post these signs as a threat, the old lady was imploring us to go get another plate as we finished our first and second. Sorry granny I'm full!! Then she insisted we eat some desserts. She wants you to eat and I just loved that. For a woman pushing 80 she has energy and frankly, she is reason enough to visit. Fantastic experience. One of my all-time favorite Miami restaurants and it was like $22. Crazy.

Back in a small retail area near SE 17th Street, this restaurant apparently opened in late 2019 and then had to close because of the pandemic. But it returned and now offers homemade food with terrific service. The place is small, seating about 30 in an at-home-at-the-dining-table style. Our server, who I think was an owner, was very friendly and even helped us choose a dish. We had to have lumpia, because it was one of the first Filipino foods we ever tried (decades ago). Although these were good, my friends' (shoutout to Analisa and Belinda) native eggrolls were much better. For our main entrees we had the adobosilog and the tapsilog. The adobo dish came with white rice topped with a fried egg, some shaved carrots, a couple of slices of cucumber and tomato. The adobo, though a tad salty, had a delicious soy-vinegar flavor and brought me back to the dish my pal Joe made for us a couple of times. The tapsilog was shaved beef that came with the same accompaniments but it was so salty that I had to mention it when the lady asked me how things tasted. She went and told the chef. (I did not complain about the adobo.) And he insisted that the price of the meal be removed from our bill. Ummm. OK. We splurged on dessert and shared the last piece of Ube (purple yam) cake (bought from an outside vendor) and a halo-halo. The cake was smooth and not too sweet. The halo-halo was shaved ice with ice cream, milk, and a variety of ingredients including beans, corn, and plain gelatin cubes. You have to mix it all up to get a good flavor. Hubby did not care for it because it was not sweet enough (yet he refused to add some condensed milk). It was my favorite dish of the entire meal. (I love cold, creamy, not-so-sweet desserts.) The portions don't match the price. While you get a humungous mound of rice, the meat is skimpy and entrees average about $20 each. And like most small places, there is a surcharge if you use a credit card instead of cash. Even with one meal removed, our bill was about $55 and would have been closer to $80. We do plan to go back and try some other dishes. Let's hope the salt content has lessened. (Remember chef: you can add salt but you can't remove it.)

What upset me most wasn't the mistake itself--everyone makes mistakes. It was the way we were treated afterward. Instead of apologizing, the employee blamed the weather and said, of course, it melted because my husband had taken it outside. She even rolled her eyes and gave us an attitude, as if the situation was somehow our fault. As long-time customers, we expected better customer service. It definitely was a hefty wait for the empanadas that has been trending on social media. You can tell that it is somewhat disorganized, as there was only one person outside helping with clearing the dishes, serving the dishes; one person taking orders from a nonstop line and one male in the back working up to go orders. I feel like if there was more organization, it would be better. However, the empanadas were very filling. One empanadas is enough to provide all the protein servings in a day. We ordered the beef empanadas, and it was definitely filled to the brim. It was an interesting take, with Filipino flavors of beef and cabbage stuffed inside, with a side of soy sauce vinaigrette. I also noticed a whole lechon placed on the table beside the cashier that looked like it is crispy on the outside and tender on the inside. It's a small mom-and-pop place with an eclectic decor that really falls under a "hodgepodge" look. We arrived on a Saturday afternoon at 1:30 p.m. The place was quite busy and we could only see about two or three people that seemed to be working there. But there were more in the back. However, maybe a total of four or five. And there had to be about 30 patrons in the dining room, not to mention a nonstop line at the register. We ordered within 15 minutes of seating oursleves. But waited an hour and a half for our food. (Inquired several times. Got frustrated and almost left. But as luck would have it, it was one of our very few lazy Saturday afternoons. So, we decided to wait it out.) While we waited, we browsed the grocery area that displayed all sorts of chips, crackers, and sauces. There are even refrigerators and freezers with items to be purchased. (I got a bag of frozen Ube buns.) When the food arrived, it was (almost) worth the wait. We got four Fiesta Specials, with shrimp chips, lumpia, pancit, rice and adobo. (Three of us got pork adobo, one had chicken.) The pancit was ok (not salty like some reviewers reported), and the lumpia was crunchy and satisfying. Both adobos were perfect. The meat was moist and the vinegary soy sauce flavor was just right. We couldn't finish our meals (besides, we needed a little room for dessert). So, we brought home leftovers and shared a bowl of Halo Halo. I love the mixture of flavors and textures, the sweets, the beans, and the cool shaved ice. We got 2 pork and 2 beef empanadas to go (for dinner). We were surprised at our bill of more than $160. Our meals were about $19 each. The dessert was about $10. But the empanadas were $11 each for pork and $14 each for the beef. (Say what?) Plus my bag of frozen Ube buns. The empanadas were hefty (about the size of a large hand) and came with an accompanying soy sauce mixture. With a crunchy pastry pocket filled with meat and cabbage filling, it is big enough for a meal. But we didn't care for the extreme greasiness. Would prefer to spend that money on more adobo. I asked one of the ladies what would be the best time to visit the eatery to avoid the crowd and the long wait times. "Monday through Wednesday," she said. "We are always busy the rest of the week." The food is worth five stars. But combined with the slow and disorganized service, sadly I could only give it four stars.
