Mom and pop shop. Excellent customer service. Packaging of the food was outstanding. They got plenty of seats. The place was packed when I went there. Food was alright. I tried noodles, taro buns, and halo halo. Too much ice in halo halo. It was barely sweet. Noodles were good but I have had better.

Everything was amazing. The sauce for the skewers omg, they're cooked to perfection and so tasty and saucy! The noodles are so light and delicious, their lumpia was perfect, the chicken adobo was flavorful and cooked to perfection. This spot is family owned, and everything about it is great. The owners are so nice and so friendly. We will definitely be back!!!

I am always searching for good Filipino food, which is tough to find in Broward County. So, when I read about Manila Grill, I had to try it. Because they close at 7 p.m., my husband and I opted to go for luner on a Saturday afternoon. The small restaurant is in a mall that houses the popular Chow Time restaurant, medical offices, and other businesses. And it's just east of the Bravo Supermarket. It's a simple eatery that houses about 50 diners. And it seems to be a Mom and Pop place with just two people, the cook and the server. Service was spotty with just 7 people (3 tables filled) in the place. They also seem to do a brisk take-out service with about 4 or so pickups during the 90 minutes we were at the restaurant. We always had to signal for service, including the check, and tables were not cleared quickly. But I guess that's what happens when you have so few people to provide service. The food is good. Our favorite was the lumpia (Filipino egg rolls) that came 6 to an order for $5.95. They were hot and crispy and scrumptious. Next was the Pancit Canton. The dish was egg noodles that were just right, not too firm and not too soft, with a wonderful flavor and bits of crispy pork skin, pork, shrimp, and veggies (with a hint of cilantro). Our only disappointment was the pork adobo. Although it was a bit salty, we didn't detect the soy-vinegar marinade that makes the dish adobo. Instead, we ate what we dubbed a stewed pork dish. Adobo is a national dish of the Philippines, and when done right, its distinctive flavor stands out and is very tasty. We splurged on dessert and had two. First, the Ube Halaya, which was more like a brownie with a coconut topping. The combination of the bland, soft dessert with the sweet sauce was perfect. We also had the Halo Halo (my fave). It had shaved ice with beans, gelatins, egg custard, a bit of ube, ice cream, and more. This one even had bits of ripe plantains (I never had that in my Halo Halo before). I also really enjoyed the Sago Gulaman beverage (shaved ice with jelly and tapioca pearls). Dinner for two with 1 appetizer, 2 entrees, 2 desserts, and 2 beverages was $71 including tax and an 18% tip that is automatically added to the bill. Not bad. We definitely will be back. But, for now, I think I will stick with my homemade adobo using my (Filipino) friend Joe's recipe.

Really good "mom & pop" Filipino spot in pines. Decided to check it out since i had time to kill before an event. Got the chicken adobo, eggrolls, and my friend got the milk fish platter. Food was fresh, flavorful, and tasted good! Def a nice find.

Food was really good. You can taste the authentic filipino food. The service is fast but not lacking in flavor.

Went here to eat with some family as we love Filipino food. The service was good and got to us in a reasonable time considering how much staff they had. I really liked the ambiance and various pictures of the Philippines hanging in the restaurant. My favorite was the dessert, Halo Halo! Loved all the toppings it had and tasted great! Definitely recommend it for anyone that comes! I personally ordered the Kare-Kare which wasn't bad but also not my favorite. The flavor of the sauce was not strong enough in my opinion. I did get to taste the bbq skewers which were full of flavor and will order again if I get a chance to return!

Manila grill and BBQ is a local Filipino restaurant tucked away in a shopping plaza. Once you enter, you're greeted with all kinds of savory smells of the food you're about to order! Inside is kept simple and very clean with ample room for seating. The dishes are all delicious and so flavorful. Make sure to try dishes off the breakfast menu which is only served from 10am-12pm!

Came for lunch time and the menu had a lot of options for meat, chicken, and seafood. I ordered the Pancit Canton with chicken and pork as I'm allergic to seafood. The portion was massive and it had a lot of meat and vegetables. It was a bit more wet than I'm used to but overall very flavorful. The restaurant felt very homey and the dishes were pretty authentic. I also got to try the Nilagang Baboy, Halo Halo, and some calamansi juice which were all delicious.

Manila Grill and BBQ is a nice place to gather with your family for hearty food. Its like going to your aunt for lunch. We came here to have lunch and we had a great experience. All dishes taste like home cooking. The restaurant is at the center of the plaza, nice ambient and great service. One favorite was the skewed pork bbq and the Pancit Bihon (rice noodle). I do recommend to order an appetizer while you wait for the main dishes. We will definitely be back to try other filipino dishes.

A coworker turned me on to Manila Grill ages ago and I unfortunately moved too far north to eat it regularly, but it is absolutely worth the trek. My partner lives nearby and had never had Filipino food before, so I suckered him into taking me. He too, is now a fan. The service is quick, this is not a fancy place. It's very in and out but there are plenty of tables to sit at. We ordered lumpia, pancit, and lechon kawali. The lumpia came incredibly hot and fresh. I'm absolutely OBSESSED with the pancit and fantasize about it often when I want comfort food. Get it with the rice noodles, texturally it's amazing. The broth it's in slaps and I could eat it for DAYS. The lechon kawali has huge portions and is very crispy. This trip I missed out on the halo halo but anytime I've had it here it's been on point and filled to the brim with goodies. To the owners - if you're reading this, I will pay money for your pancit recipe.

The is a small place with great authentic food. The prices are very reasonable and have very good portion sizes. Would definitely recommend.

My friends, and I found this cute, quaint restaurant after having Jollibee. We came here for the desserts, and they did not disappoint. This was my very first time having the oh so raved about Ube and Halo Halo and let me tell you I GET THE HYPE First off, I had the Ube ice cream. It came with two scoops and it was amazingly rich nutty and sweet, but not too sweet. I devoured those two scoops like nobody's business. Next I had the Halo Halo. And at first glance, it is very intimidating. It was huge and very colorful with the Ube ice cream, the jelly, the beans, the corn flakes and the Ube jam. I tried every component individually and to my surprise at the bottom of the cup, there were more ingredients such as bananas and sweet potatoes, I will say this dessert is full of surprises and surprisingly GOOD I thoroughly enjoyed both desserts at this establishment. I even got a little lesson from my Filipino friends about how these desserts originated, and all in all I would recommend Manila Grill and BBQ for the desserts! Hopefully one day I can come back and try their dishes

Surprised by how good this little Filipino restaurant is! All the food we ordered was made fresh, came out piping hot and tasted amazing. We started with BBQ pork skewers beautifully charred and smothered with a tangy sweet sauce. Meat was tender and easily eaten off the stick. My husband's Kare Kare was nutty and unique. It is a peanut sauce based stew made with oxtail and beef. It comes with lots of veggies like eggplant and green beans. It's loaded with a ton of tender oxtail meat. I ordered a fried fish dish and I'm not a big cooked fish lover but this Bangus Sisig was amazing. Bangus or Milkfish is known as the national fish of the Philippines and its a light flaky white fish that absorbs the flavors its cooked with. It came on a sizzling hot plate with some onions, peppers and other veggies. You can actually eat the whole fish as they creatively stir fried the fish meat and loaded it back on the crispy butterfly fish body with nice crunchy skin. The staff is nice and efficient. The restaurant itself has around 6-7 tables and it does get a little warm inside. There were also a few flies that wanted to dine with us but unavoidable with the door constantly opening for customers.

This is some of THE BEST BBQ we have had in a long time!! The brisket and ribs were so tender and flavorful!! The ribs fell off the bone, saucy, simply delicious Fiancé liked the smoked sausage with their BBQ sauce. Coleslaw was definitely tangy, very mildly sweet, and crunchy. The roasted corn was served differently than I expected, but still good! They cut a cob into small chunks which makes them less messy to eat! We are absolutely trying their Mexican street corn next time! The only mild critique I have is about the Mac-n-cheese. IMO way too salty. I asked for black pepper to try to balance it out. They did get some from the kitchen for me, but S&P is kinda a staple so would suggest making it more accessible. The service was phenomenal!! Tony is an incredible chef! The food is genuinely delicious and I would have expected to pay more for the quality of the meal overall!

The Spread: We ordered the brisket, smoked chicken, spare ribs, and baby back ribs -- yes, all four -- on one tray lined with butcher paper. It looked like a BBQ fever dream and tasted even better than it looked. The Meats: The brisket was the standout for me. Smoked over real wood for 12+ hours, hand-carved, pink smoke ring, tender all the way through. The baby back ribs were glazed and meaty with deep smoky flavor, and the spare ribs were thick, juicy, and packed with bold bark. The smoked chicken rounded it all out -- moist, flavorful, never dry. The Sides: Rice and peas with coconut milk -- fragrant and perfectly cooked. The 4-cheese mac was outrageously creamy (I kept going back for more). The sweet and tangy coleslaw was the perfect palate cleanser between bites of rich, smoky meat. The Extras: The 4-pack of sliders was a great add -- soft buns, well-seasoned patties, could easily make a meal on their own. The fries were golden and crispy. And the watermelon lemonade Kool-Aid with berries at the bottom? Refreshing, unique, and the perfect closer to an incredible meal. The Space: Big news for fans of Bare Bones -- they've just opened a brand new storefront next door with about a dozen additional tables and plenty of seating for the whole family. No more eating in your car or rushing home with takeout. You can now sit back, relax, and enjoy that tray of smoked goodness the way it was meant to be experienced. It's a welcome upgrade that somehow makes the food taste even better. This is a family-run operation with over 20 years of food experience and it shows in every detail. Bare Bones isn't just good BBQ -- it's a South Florida treasure.

Whether eating there or taking out, I've never had an issue in 15+ years. With a good variety on their menu & always keeping their prices fair, I like having them in rotation. Whether you're feeling a pulled pork sandwich (my personal favorite), ribs that fall off the bone, incredibly tender brisket, or even a burger with that mouth-watering char taste, you're sure to be satisfied. You can tell when BBQ is freshly prepared or has been sitting around for a while & they sure do it right here; the meat is never dried out or under seasoned. Portions are hearty & they have some amazing sides to go along with your main dish. You can't go here without ordering the fried okra or Mac & cheese. Their baked beans are also good, with a nice hint of sweetness that isn't too much. On that note, I can drink their sweet tea by the gallon. At Shorty's, I asked if the 1/4 chicken dish was gluten free. The server said yes it's just baked chicken and I asked about the marinade per the menu. She said it's "Shorty's sauce" so I asked if it's GF and she said she didn't know, so I asked if she can please find out. She came back and said there's no marinade so I went ahead and ordered the chicken. I asked her if she could tell me if any of the table sauces were GF and again "I don't know". I asked if she can please ask someone who would know and no rush. She said she would get someone to come talk to me. Several minutes passed, she brings my food and I ask again about the sauce and she seems bothered and said they are way too busy and probably no one will be able to come talk to me. I wait some more time, and when the next round of meals comes out, we ask again and she reiterated that it's too busy and no manager or chef was able to give her a simple answer about if the BBQ sauce is gluten free. All she said was she knows the bbq is "sugar free or something". So after waiting, I just decided to eat and the chicken was BONE DRY. It felt like sacrilege the way they cooked that chicken until it was nearly powdered. Fast forward and meal ends and the server noticed I didn't eat much and asked why, I said the chicken is dry and she said "oh yeah it's always dry and you couldn't have sauce". ... Anyway, we will not be back. I'm also not convinced that she even brought up the question to manager. As someone who has worked in the food industry for several years, I feel it is the bare minimum to understand common allergens and restrictions that people may have and that they deserve to be taken seriously.
