Fabulous. Stopped in today on way back from LJ to Tomball. Found it kind of randomly looking for a bbq joint around there. Best bbq I've had for the price in a long time. It's not Truth or Snow's, but not trying to be. Waited zero minutes not three hours. Owner very friendly, clean environment, large portions. Only about three minutes off of 288. The greens are amazing. Great bark on the brisket. Love the sauce. Wife said the chicken was super tender. Will be back next time headed down to Brazosport. read more

I was out at Brazos Bend State Park with some friends taking pictures and we stopped here at lunchtime before heading back to NE Houston. It's off the beaten path of the main road in Rosharon so you sort of need to have the address or know where it is. They are only open on Friday through Sunday and I am sure their hours may be cut short if the sell out of BBQ! We ordered and the guy at the window was real nice but I think he was working by himself so he took the orders for our group of 10 before he could actually bag up the food. But in the end the wait was worth it! The food was well received by our group and everyone agreed the brisket, pulled pork, chicken, ribs, sausage and beans were all top notch and worth the wait. Can't say enough, the guy running the pit and taking and serving our orders even came out to check if we needed anything else. We were all very happy and glad we stopped by. read more

Perfect. It was perfect. The food was literally dropped from the heavens above. The fries were literally the most perfect fry you will ever put in your mouth. The barbecue was pretty good, tender, not dry. The sauce was good, but there wasn't enough without ordering more. The three stars was because they would not work with us on any type of order change. My mother wanted her barbecue on the side of her baked potato instead of on top and they wouldn't do it. I only wanted a serving of brisket and not a plate with sides and they wouldn't do it. Why is there no a la carte brisket without ordering a full pound? It all worked out because we got creative and just added a meat to the two people who ordered the plates, but shouldn't a bbq business be able to figure out how to put brisket by itself in a box? read more

This place, just wow!! The service has always been amazing. Super friendly and patient. I have to be honest, I got stuck on the grilled cheese brisket sandwich, it is soooo good!! We just get it to go, it's just too darn hot to sit outside. If the was weather was a bit cooler, hanging out would definitely be an option. I do recommend you try it if you're in the area. 5 stars all the way. They are only open Fri, Sat, and Sun. Be sure to check their hours before heading out. Ordering ahead helps too. read more

Found this place on Yelp and ratings looked great so we decided to check it out. My father ordered the three meat plate Brisket, Sausage and Ribs. I ordered the fully loaded baked potato. Let me tell you the size of the plates were huge! Especially for the price it was great! The food was so delicious. Literally the best BBQ I have had anywhere. This place is a hidden gem! The meat was literally falling apart it was so tender. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone the food is amazing! The place is so cute as well. They have outside seating with a little covered area. Great place to take family and they also serve beer. Like I said this place is great and the food is the best for BBQ that I have ever tasted and I have ate a ton of BBQ places and this is the best in my opinion so far. Wasn't sure what to expect here but being a traveler, I have eaten a lot of BBQ from worst-looking places. The outside area was clean, and the smell was amazing. I ordered the chopped beef with fries and extra sauce. The sandwich was stuffed with tender brisket with just the right amount of fat to make it outstanding. The sauce was just right between sweet and vinegar tasting. The bread got a little soggy by the end but outstanding. They maybe should try a french bread po-boy. That would be great. On the back streets of the back roads, this little joint packs a nice punch. Great lunch place if you're passing through the area. Ample parking and a nice sized covered seating area. My husband and I have always ordered the pulled pork and ribs, with the potato salad and green beans. I loved the pulled pork and that was the main reason for us going there but today when I called my order in I was informed they would not serve me what I have always ordered so we are no longer customers of theirs. I will drive out of my way for this place, amazing tender brisket. very moist. On point sauce, chicken is a little dry, but very good smoky flavor. Kids liked the snow cones. We recently moved to Rosharon, and two of our neighbors both recommended Jees Wiz BBQ to us. We've tried it a couple times already, and we know we'll be regulars. The food is fantastic. The loaded baked potatoes are every bit as good (if not better) than the ones we got for years from Pappas, and the hamburgers are on par with gourmet burgers at nice restaurants, worlds better than fast-food joints. The sweet potato fries are great, and the onion rings are the best I've ever had. It's a "mom & pop" shop -- more accurately, a mom & son shop -- and Mary & Pierre are friendly and engaging. The prices are extremely reasonable. The place is tucked away just a bit off of 1462, so unless you know to look for it, you wouldn't see it. I'm happy that friends told us about it, and now I'm doing my part to spread the word. For us, it's everything we could want in a restaurant...plus it's only minutes away from where we live. I highly recommend Jees Wiz BBQ, especially to anyone who lives nearby. But even if you aren't close, trust me: It's worth the drive! read more

Looks like this is a one man show. Maybe it's time to hire someone cause...the chicken was completely dried out. Wayyyyy overcooked. The ribs were very greasy. Which is weird. Never in my life have I had a greasy rib. The potatoes in the potato salad had a strange texture. The coleslaw tasted like plain cabbage shredded up with nothing on it. The bbq sauce was very watery and was nothing special. So disappointed cause the pics on Yelp made the food look so good. read more

So I am a little disappointed I am not the first one to review this place. Their food is amazing I love the hot links and the sauce. The brisket was amazing and so were the wings. I absolutely loved the wings and the links to the point that I did not share them oops. There is plenty of parking and it is near the skydiving place. I can only imagine in the summer being able to sit and enjoy a delicious meal and the beautiful parachutes. I know that it is my family's got to place for bbq.
