    Mexi burger with fries
    Marjorie S.

The best burger in this side of town hands down! Service is always great, chill atmosphere and their shakes and desserts are to die for! Shout out to our awesome server Ella tonight! She was super sweet and took care of us! My favorite here is the Mexi Burger- blend of chuck and brisket meat, topped with fresh avocado, chile con queso, blistered jalapeños, craft beer braised onions, shredded lettuce, tomato, chipotle mayo and spicy pickles! Sooo good!!

I took photos of our food but it did not upload. Anyway we ordered their boudin balls for appetizer and man they were fresh hot and delicious! My wife had the poboy combo, baby had the kids tenders and myself, I ordered the macho burger. Left very satisfied we even recommended this place to my sister and her friend to try. They also enjoyed this place very much. Will definitely come back and try the rest of their dishes. Everyone was friendly and restaurant was very well put together. There was seating in the front and back patio area. Come show your support if you're in the area!

    Crawfish

Upon entry we were welcomed with warm greetings! So customer service was A+. I live in the heights and the crawfish was well worth the drive. They include the potato and corn in pricing. And for my glove people, I have long nails and it didn't poke a hole or rip the glove. Only downside were the drink options. I wasn't feeling the margaritas and they didn't carry cider or seltzers. Make sure to save room for dessert though because we tired banana pudding and something with cinnamon. Both were a win!!!

Not the prettiest picture...but trust me...get the cake!

I have been wanting to visit forever and last week we finally stopped in to order a "tale out" order but instead we were greeted and treated like family. The staff was so welcoming. As a mom we are constantly the ones serving and taking care of everyone. On this evening I got to experience that feeling as I waited for my to go order I was taken care of but I lovely woman who anticipated our every desire. The corn brad muffins were sent from heaven and the loaded fries were from another universe! My husband's po boy was huge and delicious, the burgers were superb and the nachos were top tier. Dont get me started on the strawberry cake! What a treat for the locals, and if you're not a local, definitely worth the drive. Thank you! We will be back!

    Pina Colada

My husband picked TJ Reed's for dinner. We were greeted upon arrival and seated as well. Right away I noticed how friendly the staff was. Our waitress was great, and I ordered a pina coloda right away. When I tell you it was one of the best I have had, I am not joking. Pina's are one of my favorites, and it did not disappoint!! I am a sucker for seafood boils, and mean this one! It was SO good and the portion size was immacualte. The seasoning was on point. The shrimp were large and everything about it wad delcious. The manager even gave us a dessert on the house. A waiter brought it to the table and it was the whiskey cake. Do not sleep on that cake! I cannot explain how warm, gooey, and amazing that slice of cake was. We left very pleased, and I could not get over how great everyone was that worked there.

    Mexi-Chicken Sandwich

So delicious every time!!! This place is always clean and the staff is so friendly. This time I tried the Mexi-Chicken sandwich. Be prepared with paper towels with this one. So much flavor and this one will make a little bit of a mess. You won't be disappointed.

The service was amazing. This was our first time here and definitely not our last! Niesha was by far the best! She was very attentive and she was so sweet and so friendly. We will definitely come back and visit Niesha again.

Cheeseburger w/ bacon and a side of onion rings
    Scott N.

TJ Reed's is a busy place! We had a big group so it took a while to get a table, which is completely reasonable and expected. This is a big place and there's a lot going on. The menu has tons of options. Service was OK. Maybe it was because we had a big group, but service was distracted. For a place that seems like it should be so much fun, our wait service didn't live up to my expectation of fun. We ordered several appetizers. I only took pictures of the Boudin Balls. I split one and it was tasty, but not extraordinary. I ordered a Cheeseburger with bacon added and an extra side of onion rings. Yes, everything (bacon and onion rings) was available with an extra charge. Some boozy shakes were ordered and enjoyed. I didn't have one, but they did indeed look good. The experience, overall, was okay.

    Banana pudding

Absolutely AMAZING! The burger and the tater tots were PHENOMENAL and the service is EXCELLENT!! And the banana pudding was delicious! We will definitely be back. (Even my 10 year old said this was his new favorite place!)

Fried Catfish with Shrimp Etouffee Burger and Loaded Fries

We just had one of the best lunches I have had in a long time. Our server, Dillon, was so attentive and so helpful in suggesting what we should get. The restaurant was so nice inside and had really cute, colorful decor which my niece loved! It was our first time here and we got the catfish (fried) with shrimp etoufee, the po boy combo with gumbo and one of their burgers. Dillon was even nice enough to bring us a banana pudding on the house since it was our first time! We will 1000% be coming back. All of our food was delicious and everyone working was so nice.

We finally went through the reviews and decided it was the last day of vacation so we went. It did NOT disappoint. The outside looks a little sketchy for a seafood restaurant, quite honestly, but the inside was nice. You walk in and see several desserts which looked scrumptious. The seating area is very open and easily accessible. Our server was a young kid and very kind. He seemed a bit new as he couldn't answer many questions about the menu, or simply is one of those "read and figure it out yourself" type of servers. I'm sure you know the type. My husband and I both felt like he was maybe "partaking" before work as he was a little apathetic about everything. We ordered the corn dip appetizer which was the perfect blend of savory and spicy. Our toddler loved it. My husband ordered crab crusted red fish and he was blown away. I got the coconut shrimp and definitely should have done the half order. We got a few drinks and mine was pure alcohol, no juice to the point it tasted like I was drinking rum straight from the bottle. For dessert we got booze Oreo milkshakes which were delicious and we were able to take them home. We would definitely be back!

The restaurant is super clean and the environment is always welcoming. They greet and seat you pretty fast. My only suggestion is they train the employees more on cleanliness- I watched one of the waiters continuously scratch his head then touch plates and he coughed in his hand. I sat at the bar and never saw him wash his hands. I did tell what I presume to be the manager he went and washed his hands then did it again. It would make customers turn away. But the food is good. I also had the boudain balls and peel and eat shrimp. Both were good!

The food... we have been here a few times and have always been blown away, but this time was different. We started with the Tuna Chilly Chile; when it came out we were like, now this looks amazing!!! I just wish that the presentation tasted as good as it looked The flavors were not cohesive, they didn't flow. I couldn't taste the mango, was way too tomatoey, and it needed something. Next we had the crab cake, once again when it came out we were eyes wide open because it looked so dang good! Why was it not The best crab cake ever is from Pappas Seafood, so naturally we compare crab cakes to theirs. This crab cake though was bland, like no zing of flavor. We were disappointed Next we tried the Wagyu Gyoza, we had zero idea that it was going to be in a dumpling. Once again we struck out on all three dishes. You know the rule, three strikes and you're out! We did sign up for the rewards program because Miru does have some really good food, these three dishes are not them. Oh, and the gal with the super long hair that did have it pulled back who kept going behind the bar to make drinks because Natalie had a full bar to make drinks for, take orders from, and make your drinks for your one table that was in the restaurant section, be a better co-worker. Your rude comments about a chocolate martini were unnecessary and your hair whipping all over the place was uncouth. Either braid it or put it in a bun. ‍

Given that it's the fifth Friday of Lent, I still have to keep abstaining from meat so I ordered a fried fish platter. The platter consists of two nicely battered fish (forgive me for not knowing what kind it is), an ample serving of fries, and a salad. Mom, of course, had her crawfish. I'm happy to report that we both were satisfied with our meals. Mine was about nine bucks, which was three bucks cheaper than what most churches' fish fry celebrations were offering. The kitchen staff wasn't stingy with the fish; the pieces I got were pretty huge. It occurred to me that I love fish and chips as much as the British do. The young lady who served us did an outstanding job. When I asked for a go-to cup to put my iced tea in, she offered to give me a whole new drink. There were many good things that stemmed from today's visit that I just had to update my negative review from 2017.
