With the dramatic flair of a daytime soap opera doctor, she declares: "OH MY GOODNESS, YOUR CHILD HAS LICE!" Spoiler alert: No. They. Did. Not. The Forensic Evidence (aka Total Nonsense): dried white hair gel (come to find out louse eggs are brown not white) so way off... Although the haircuts are expensive, I always felt the quality and child-friendly service made them worth it. Unfortunately, my experience today destroyed the trust I had in this business. I brought my four-year-old son in for a haircut with Anais. I specifically asked for a high fade with a #1 on the sides. My son loves getting haircuts, sits extremely still, and has never been difficult during an appointment. Despite that, she gave him a very low fade that was uneven and patchy all over. During the haircut, he became covered in loose hair and told her he was itchy. Instead of taking a moment to blow or brush the hair off him, she repeatedly told him she would clean him off when she was finished. I have never experienced that at a children's salon before. When she said she was done, I immediately noticed patches throughout his hair and pointed out that the fade was much lower than what I requested. I asked her to fix the patches and raise the fade. About five minutes later, she said she was finished again, but the patches were still clearly visible and the fade had not been raised. His hair is now noticeably uneven, patchy, and looks significantly worse than it did before the appointment. I would not feel comfortable sending him to school with his hair looking like this. After paying nearly $50 for a children's haircut, I now have to take him somewhere else and pay again to have it corrected--if it can even be fixed without cutting it extremely short. I am incredibly disappointed, especially because we had been loyal customers. I sincerely hope ownership reviews this situation, makes it right, and ensures this stylist receives additional training and supervision before more children leave with the same experience.

My final bill was around $700--roughly double what I had been told over the phone. After I contacted the owner about the discrepancy, I was refunded $150, but I still paid far more than I expected. Unfortunately, the service itself did not meet my expectations. To make matters worse, during my appointment, one of my expensive earrings went missing. Despite bringing this to the salon's attention immediately, I was not reimbursed for the lost earring, and the owner has since stopped responding to my calls and messages about the situation. The combination of being charged much more than quoted, receiving disappointing service, losing a valuable personal item, and then having difficulty getting a response afterward has been extremely frustrating. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend this salon.

All I heard, as they were slowly combing and lifting through my hair, were soft whispers and gasps of horror with the occasional, "Girl look at this... omg..." After hearing what they could do to fix the mess Vo left me with (weeks of painstaking piece meal work and god-knows-how-much-money) I ultimately decided to have them take me back to my original brown so I could start over from square one. THAT'S how bad it was. All that time and money just to go back to brown and have my hair be short and thin instead of long and thick. God I could scream. I appreciate you offering to fix the mess you left me with, Thanh, but no thanks. I would much rather you spend the time you would've taken on fixing my hair to spending it on some coloring courses instead. Just because you own a salon doesn't mean you've mastered the art of hair. The other guy whom you trained on the fly with me has a lot of learning to do also. I could tell he didn't know what he was doing and yet you still let him touch my hair while you juggled two other clients. Unacceptable service. On top of that, neither you or the other guy ever made small talk with me, which I've never experienced at a salon in all my life. Like, not a single word or question about my day or even my name.
