This humble little shop offers a small merchandise section, a wide variety of fresh cheeses and other dairy products, some pantry goods and a divine section of handmade chocolates. Samples of various cheeses to include curd cheese is available for sampling. A bacon horseradish cheese was featured and WOW, delish! An apple pie sharp cheese was also available for tasting. It was unique in flavor, but not my cup of tea. Due to the fact we will be on the go for many hours today and without refrigeration, we purchased a variety of candies rather than cheeses. I purchased the chocolate covered kettle chips and shared with the family. A couple of these chips go a LONG way and the pairing of sweet and salty is always a winning combination. The chips are coated with a generous amount of chocolate. The cashier was very cheerful and pleasant. The checkout process was slightly longer due to the credit card machine being out of order. Finally, there is a really cute cow in a field next door that makes for a great photo opp! This year we stopped in Memorial Day weekend and the owner told us she didn't have the syrups yet but would the following weekend. We then stopped in 2 weekends later and spoke to another women who was very rude and said nope, they didn't have it. Fast forward to 4th of July weekend and we stopped in again (hoping maybe by chance she would have it) and that same women again very rude didn't want to give me the time of day when my kids asked if they had any. Last weekend we stopped in again and the owner assured us she would have it the following day. We waited a week and went back, the owner was not there and however the other women was and said "oh my god, no we don't have any, she never made it". She again was very rude. The self serve store has many ways they process goat milk but the gelato is our favorite. The mint flavor is bright and the gelato is not green because they don't die it green. It is great to be able to buy the products on the farm that produced them. They sell other local food products as well. Stop in today.
