My son has told me he never wants to go back but that he will miss the staff and some kids he met there. When I went to visit, I could sit right by him and rub his back... I felt sad for my son but knew he was facing his consequences there. It seemed low key during visiting but i don't know how he felt when he had to go back to where he came from. Another positive I noticed was he was attending school inside the facility.

He was purposely moved to a less than ideal shift because they' are trying to force him to retire. That is not an assumption. He is not the only officer to be targeted. There are several lawsuits pending where officers are alleging discrimination. Deanna Nollette, gender/sex discrimination. Denise "Cookie" Bouldin, race and gender discrimination, settled for $750,000 in February 2026. Eric Greening, racial discrimination and retaliation. This was settled in 2025 for nearly $1 million. John O'Neil, racial discrimination and retaliation. Settled in August 2025. Lauren Truscott, Valerie Carson, Kame Spencer and Judinna Gulpan: four women who sued together alleging sexual harassment, gender discrimination and hostile-work-environment claims. Their case settled for $2.6 million in June 2026. I do wonder if the entire workplace is poisoned based on these lawsuits.

No comedy clubs, no live music. With few exceptions the restaurants are chain, and very few chain or otherwise stand out. Yelp it yourself, punch in Lynnwood and leave the "search for" blank. Nordstrom RACK is the 10th highest reviewed place in the whole city. What does that tell you? There are a few restaurants on the list (and yeah Yeh Yeh's is awsome) The police force (I am sure they are all heroes) seem to only serve the purpose of generating revenue, since there are countless radar traps around the city, and more camera's at lights than any other place I have EVER been. Rumor is they even shortened the yellow cycle on the lights to make more money. The cops are so zealous to write you a ticket I have seen them drive down the SIDEWALK to get back to their little trap. There are traffic lights in town that you will wait 3 cycles to be able to get through it. I guess the housing is cheap. Hey I live here, I work here it is convenient but won't miss it when I leave
