The mini golf here was so great! It is only $10 per person which is so phenomenal. The holes are not super long, but they are super creative! I feel like it is good for a lot of different ages. Nice park, but needs some upkeep!!!! I visited Jefferson District Park and found it to be an average experience. The park has a good amount of open space and is nice for a walk or casual outdoor time. There are some useful facilities, but a few areas could use better maintenance. While it's generally quiet and family-friendly, certain sections felt worn down, and cleanliness could be improved. It's a decent place to visit if you're nearby, but not a destination I'd go out of my way for. Overall, the park has potential, but some updates and better upkeep would make it much more enjoyable. read more

This has a 9 hole course that's decent. I prefer the miniature course here, despite getting destroyed by my teenager. That is good family fun and par for the course! Puns have to happen, but this is a good area park. There's some basketball courts, and a nice area to take nature in. Admission is free, and all games are at prices meant to be affordable. While this isn't one of the biggest county parks, I like that it's usually not overcrowded. That alone is peace of mind. Parking is plentiful. It's a spot to go for an hour or two of recreation. That's a healthy thing. If you're in the area this should work, but I wouldn't go out of my way to go over here. Have heard rumors of improvements/changes, but see nothing tangible yet. read more

Went golfing on a course for the first time here; it was a great experience playing a 9-hole course. Friends who are golf enthusiasts said it was very decent for an executive course; low-key and great for beginners. On a Wednesday afternoon in the summer it costed $25/person to play in groups of four; renting a cart was an additional $11/person (walking was fine). Most of the staff seemed friendly enough. The clubhouse sells beer and food; no carts go around to re-fuel folks playing on the course, though. There is also no driving range available here for practice which is a huge bummer. read more

I enjoy this 9 hole golf course very much. It's mostly flat, so easily walkable for all ages. The fairways are fairly wide but you can easily end up in the woods of you slice off the tee. Number 7 is a very short par-3. Number 4 is really the only water hole but even it has an option to avoid going over the hazard. The trickest part of the this course are the undulating greens which makes putting a challenge. Nice practice putting and chipping greens. Reasonable rates, it can be busy on weekends but the starters are good about getting groups off the tee. Small pro shop & grill area. Excellent place to get a quick round of golf. read more

We had fun as a family on a recent mini-golf outing here. It was moderately busy on a Sunday morning right when it opened, so we felt a bit rushed by the people behind us, but other than that the kids and their friends had a good time. The course was varied and everyone liked the part of the course where the ball is hit into a stream of running water. The unnaturally-dyed water and fake crocodiles added a kitschy feel to the place. We were a large party and after the first hole, we realized one parent wasn't going to manage to play. We returned the club/ball and they kindly gave us a credit to play one game free, which was nice (although we would have preferred a refund, which they apparently don't do). All in all, a positive experience and we'll return again. read more

This is one of my favorite local golf locations. There is a putting green but no driving range or cages. I come here with friends when we want to stay local. It's easy to grab a tee time. Parking is easy, the coarse is easy, and I can finish a round in less than 2 hours. read more

I want to give them a bad review because I came in last in our group of 3's mini-golf outing but I really can't. The mini-golf course is pretty well-maintained. The water was flowing where it was meant to be flowing (fountains, fake rivers) and each hole varied from degree of difficulty (some of the easy looking ones were not so easy). I tried going to Top Golf in Alexandria once on a Friday night to play mini-golf but encountered a two-hour wait period. However, when I came to Jefferson District Park on a Friday night, it was luckily devoid of people. There wasn't anyone to rush me or wait for me and I didn't have to wait for folks ahead of me to finish playing a hole. Plus, their parking lot is huge! The course is kept pretty well for being fairly cheap price-wise. Only $7 per adult. I think there's no need to have what I think is dyed blue water as a stream on the last few holes, but overall I think the green is kept in good condition. None of the holes are particularly challenging but for a golf amateur like myself, it's not bad and it's geared more towards beginners. Nonetheless it's fun. I went through all the holes fairly quickly, about 45 minutes. They accept credit cards but they don't have a machine to run the cards though, so I'd recommend bringing cash to speed up the process. read more

I am by no means a golf pro, but I do enjoy the driving range. This park has a great beginner 9 hole course! My short game is so horrendous, but this course was a great introduction. Here, I am able to flaunt my prodigious driving skills and at the same time practice my atrocious short game without feeling self-conscious. The golfers are usually very nice and patient - just don't take forever to hit the ball, that's a rule for any course. On weekends and holidays it will cost you $21 to play and all other times it's $17. I wouldn't recommend getting a golf cart here cause the course is definitely walkable. I do usually get the pull cart cause I'm a princess ($4.50). I must also mention that this park has 8 tennis courts. I come here all the time to play tennis. The courts are clean and they have lights that stay on till about 11pm. Usually in the summertime the courts are always filled after 6pm. read more

Can I just say, this is probably one of the better mini golf courses I've been to, locally anyways (a comparison to a beach mini golf course just wouldn't be fair). The course is relatively small but is well-kept. The biggest downside to the whole course is that there wasn't a theme to the course (I'll just save that for the Perils of the Lost Jungle mini golf course in Sterling). I liked that the last hole had a mini "river" (just a stream of dyed blue water). A nice touch! Definitely worth a try if you're looking for something relatively cheap to do and that doesn't require any level of skill in order to still have fun. read more

I've only played the golf course so I can't speak to the putt putt course. The course is geared toward beginners and when evaluated under that light, it's excellent. The course is extremely well kept for a cheap public and very walkable. The par 4s are pretty short and a pushover for experienced players. I managed to drive the green on the 9th with my three wood and I'm not a particularly long hitter. A few of the holes are played under power lines which could interfere with your ball. It's annoying but the course is dirt cheap so I hate to complain too much. If you want to enjoy some beers while playing, the course offers three 16 oz Sierra Nevada Torpedoes for $10 which is a fantastic deal. They'll even provide a bag with ice to take with you. If you're looking for a cheap and quick 9 holes after work, this place is perfect. read more

One day after getting let out early from jury duty (lucky me), I decided to play the Jefferson course to kill sometime before I went into work. I made a really good decision. The old starter lady was hitting on me as I set up my tee time, anytime you go into a round feeling like a total stud muffin you know its going to be an amazing round. I was lucky enough to be able to play the 9 holes by myself which was a 1st for me. It was also such a nice day that I walked the course. Its a very easy course to walk. No holes really stand out to me but its still a fun course. The course is pretty wide open. There isn't a lot of brush and a huge amount of trees on the sides of the fairways so if you hit it into the trees you have a good chance of being able to hit it out, or at the very least finding your ball and tossing back into the fairway like a real pro. The day I played the gods were with me because I was hitting it very straight and the fairways were very dry so the ball would roll and roll and roll. I remember the greens being more challenging then I expected with nice undulating (love that word) greens. This is a really great course for beginners or anybody looking for a fun quick round with a nicely maintained course read more

Was not happy with the customer service. The tee-times were so squished this last Sunday...there was only ten minutes between times. Golf is a slow sport. By no means should shots be rushed. The lady running the times went on a golf cart and yelled at my group to hurry up. Honestly, I did not like the way she treated our group. For what it is, this is an excellent public course. A 9 hole executive course that is nice for beginners and easy for more experienced golfers. Mostly short par 4s, a couple of par 3s, and one short par 5. Normally pace of play is not a problem unless it is a really nice day, and then it can back up in the afternoon. No need to rent a cart unless you have a physical issue. Course is in much better shape than the other fairfax public courses. Staff is friendly and green fees are reasonable. Drawback - no range to warm up on, just one chipping area and one putting green. read more

It seems like every trip to Jefferson District Park only ends when the coolers are empty of beer! We showed up for another round of mini golf for our monthly 'Hole in Chug' tournament'. Although they do not have a bar on site, refreshments (chuggers) are sold by the attendant who gives you your clubs. The workers have a running joke of letting our group come in for free each month and we greatly appreciate it. I hit a hole in one last month and my entire group had to chug their beers. My Dad was there too even though he thought he had to head to Pennsylvania for the weekend. He had a guy in PA selling a trailer hitch that fit his truck perfect and his hitch had snapped a few years back so now we haven't been able to haul anything. I told him I'd just get him a hitch for his birthday instead so he could drink with us. Overall, another great time at Jefferson's!! read more

My review is for the mini golf. Pretty nice course. Well maintained. The holes are short but challenging and we were lucky to not end up behind a large group. It would take forever to finish the course if it was really busy. Credit cards aren't taken there unless they are slow and can call it up to the clubhouse.
