It's a bit of a haul from Atlanta so I got up early one weekend and made the hour drive over to La Vaquita. While I'll say, I enjoyed my trip, I don't know if I absolutely loved it or would tell people to run here. Parking was easy to navigate through and I got a spot easily. Now, inside (and outside) really has everything, BUT I will say, this is a flea market in every sense of the word. It has a lot of junk, I mean that in the best (and I suppose, worst) way. I just didn't find the majority of the items that were being sold to be the best quality or really be anything I needed or wanted to buy. The highlight here is the food. Whether it's the large food court or the random stands that are throughout the flea market. You should by no means leave here hungry or thirsty. I think this is a great place if you want knock-off items such as labubus and things like that, but if you're looking for quality materials/goods, I would not pick them up here.

Be mindful that some of the vendors both in the market and the food courts don't all accept credit cards so be sure to have cash on hand! In the market, the vendors have all sorts of merchandise from one of a kind handmade items , fresh fruit and nuts, to electronic and jewelry. There is also a farmers market with fresh produce in one of the buildings.

At some odd point in my life, my family made frequent trips here searching for deals or trying to get rid of an ever growing collection of auction items, various memorabilia, vegetables, what have you. This was a time of a lot of legit Pokemon card booths, or the one that might sell you a fake. Ah... all the fake stuff you can buy here. Good times. But all in all, I really believe this place has gone down hill in my latest visit. It's never been great per say, but there was a time where a lot of niche vendors and collectors were here. Particularly, thinking back on a rock collector who sold all the stuff you'd need and then some to polish rocks or study rocks while even selling massive geodes. This stuff just isn't there anymore. It's replaced with walls of factory reject appliances and a lot of really odd junk. Though, honestly, you might find something awesome in all this. It's really a huge yard sale. The produce isn't all that bad, though it is of very questionable origin, but if you're buying produce here you probably don't mind too much...? Appliances can range from $10 for a vacuum to $25 for a kitchen aid stand mixer. There still are old cartridge games at some of the booths. There was also a very nice Tupperware stand too. I didn't really try any of the food... I have eaten here in the past, but that was several years ago, and the places I had eaten at are no longer functioning. The solitary food court, which is extremely small, still is in commission, however. If you go in winter, the buildings are heated. In the summer, there really isn't AC. It's a nice place just to casually walk around, walk your pup, and search for treasure.

PARKING There's a free private parking lot out front II. SERVICE Friendly III. However, what makes My Favorite Place different is that they are more flea market than consignment/antique store, and this is something that they fully embrace and own! We have popped into My Favorite Place a couple of times over the years in search of things we never knew we needed. MFP is a treasure trove of used items ranging from trinkets to furniture that are stacked from wall to wall and floor to ceiling, they even have pieces outside lining the sidewalk. To go back to the "flea market" comment, that is truly what the items here are. The store feels like one big yard sale with majority of the items simply being used and old, not really antiques or collectibles. Due to this and the way things are stacked and shelved, a lot of items are pretty beat up. They have a solid selection of furniture pieces, but again they are chipped and worn. If you are after furniture and plan to finish it yourself, then MFP is a solid option for you! Prices are fair and decent for everything in here, even the furniture. The pricing reflects the condition, so again if you are a DIY-er, then you can really find some great deals and good pieces here. Overall, My Favorite Place is a combination of over and underwhelming. Overwhelming in the way of volume of items, haphazard organization and stocking and underwhelming in the condition of items. We pop in when we are in the area, but would not go out of our way to drop by here.
