Continued 5* experiences! Needed a filling, saw the damaged tooth on their big video screen. He mentioned they could use a laser and there'd be no pain and no Novocain shot and no drilling! I was referred to Dr. Suffetta in April of 2018 when I was experiencing a painful toothache. I was very impressed with the doctor, the friendly staff & the state of the art office and equipment. I previously rated this practice with 5 stars. However, a few months after my visit, I was contacted by the office to set up a routine cleaning that my insurance would cover in its entirety. So, I thought "great, the insurance is covering it and I'm taking good care of myself" & made the appointment for October, six months after my initial visit. At the appointment, I declined the extra services offered since we couldn't afford the extra expense of a $20 cavity preventive treatment. We've been on a pretty tight budget & with Christmas around the corner, I simply couldn't afford an extra expense. Fast forward to January of 2019 as we're recovering from Christmas expenses and preparing for tax season. I was surprised to open my mail and find a bill from Dr. Suffoletta's office for $68. Immediately, I thought this was a mistake and the office staff would acknowledge whatever error was made and tell me not to worry about it. I called and spoke to a young lady who explained that since my insurance didn't pay that $68 due to the bitewing xray not being covered that I would be responsible for the $68 unexpected bill. I thought long and hard about this because I feel like it just was not right to make me pay something when I was solicited to schedule the 6 month cleaning and Nikki had emphasized that I owed nothing and the insurance would take care of it. So, on my day off, I decided to drive up and talk to Nikki in person. I knew she would remember what she had told me so I pled my case that this very unexpected bill was not in my budget but furthermore I felt that it just was NOT right! She proceeded to tell me that she could not control what the insurance paid and/or rejected and asked if I understood. I responded that of course, I can understand that but that is NOT what I was told in the beginning and I felt the bill was unfair. At that point, I agreed to pay the $68 bill in full and asked her to cancel my appointment for April and advised her that I would find another dentist. She was fine with that so beware! Although I initially fell in love with the Dr. Suffoletta, his practice and staff, I don't appreciate being taken advantage of and I certainly do not appreciate going in there under the false pretense that I was there for a routine cleaning with NO OUT OF POCKET EXPENSE to me only to receive a $68 bill 3 months later. read more

Dr. Suffoletta and his staff are amazing. There are so many things that can make a trip to the dentist an awful experience, but this is an amazingly wonderful office! Dr. Suffoletta has the most amazing technology: 3d scans of your head, a 3d printer in the office to make crowns right on the spot, wireless, digital x-rays. It makes the experience quick, thorough and accurate. When it comes to cosmetic dentistry, he isn't messing around! I have a crown at the front of my mouth and he cares more about its appearance then I do. He made sure that it was exactly what I wanted. When it was complete, he wasn't certain about the shading on it. So he called me back in and got it exactly perfect! It is rare to encounter someone with his work ethic. He has taken emergency patients on Sunday, stayed hours past the last appointment to finish a tricky crown and always has a joke to tell. read more

I always preface my visits with "I am big sissy in the dentist chair" Today I went in for work on two teeth one that included the addition of a porcelain tooth due to a break. Today I went to see Dr. Suffoletta for a new patient exam and cleaning. I am very wary when I pick a new dentist because I have had poor experiences in the past with nickel and diming dentists and staff. First, I found this office on Yelp and perused through reviews, the good, the bad, and the ugly. After reading them I decided to pull the trigger and schedule an appointment. I talked to Joanne first. She is so so pleasant and made scheduling an appointment incredibly easy. I was surprised to be able to get in the next week on my day off at 7:45am. (New patient appointments are at 7:45am or 12:45pm and last about 1.5 hours.) She answered any questions I had prior to my appointment and also sent me the paperwork beforehand so I could read through/fill it out on my own time rather than rushing to get through it 15 minutes before my appointment. When I arrived for my appointment, Joanne was at the front. She was super nice and was expecting me to show up. She called me by name, which I appreciated. It makes me feel like they want my business and the actually care for their patients. Once she got done processing my information, she had me sit, offered me water or coffee and let me know they had a morning team meeting they do and that I would be helped after that. I didn't have to wait long before Jackie called me back. Before sitting me down she gave me a tour of the place. The office is very nice and clean, different sections for different types of work. She explained what we would be doing step by step. I really enjoyed being in the know about what would happen next, it helped me gauge how much more time I was going to be there, rather than being left waiting and not knowing as I have been in other offices. Jackie was also really good at having natural conversation and building rapport with me as a customer. Once Jackie was done mapping out my mouth, she brought Karrah in to clean me up. Karrah was awesome and gentle and informative as well. She let me know what she was doing inside my mouth and what the numbers and letters she was calling out meant. I got to see and hear about everyone's dogs and families and hobbies, etc. Next, Dr. Suffoletta came in and I was very impressed with the effort that went into getting to know me and my story. He seemed interested and engaged in conversation, asking for more detail and not repeating any questions the girls asked me before. It was really refreshing. He is also very knowledgeable and not super pushy at all when it came to discussing the "extras". I did not feel sold at all. (I have worked in sales before and I HATE feeling sold especially at the dentist.) By the end of my appointment, I had already been scheduled out for my next cleaning with Karrah, I was aware of what needed to be done and what was optional based on what I had expressed bothered me throughout the appointment, and I would have had another appointment scheduled to get some more pressing issues fixed, if I knew what my schedule looked like. All in all, I would absolutely recommend Dr. Suffoletta and his staff. I will be returning and I will probably even be seeing them for the "extras" I mentioned before based on how comfortable I felt during my appointment. I've been living in Las Vegas now for 2 years, and I wish I would have found this practice sooner. I went to another place prior and it was a bad experience (treatment plan way unrealistic for my budget and not mindful of my needs/concerns) so I was very hesitant when I had my visit. I'm so relieved that this practice lived up to the reviews and my expectations. From the minute I was greeted to the education and friendliness of the staff and doctor, I felt at ease. I do have a good amount of work I need done, however they walked me through all of it, what my insurance would pay and what I need to plan for. Patient education is huge for me, I need to understand what I am spending my money on, and they made it easy to understand without feeling like I was being sold anything I didn't need. The previous office I went to failed in this regard, and to be honest, if they would have approached it this way, possibly could have kept me as a patient. I need a crown re-done and the technology in this office (having the permanent crown made and done same day in house) is great for a busy professional like me to have work done and completed in one visit vs. multiple visits. I also appreciate that they want to see me in 4-6 weeks after this first visit to make sure they keep an eye on my gums/teeth to ensure I'm in a good place. Normally I wouldn't continue, but the owner's response in my opinion is deceptive. It is not a matter of whether or not the filling were needed due to deterioration. They were not needed. Comprehensive care seems to mean to Dr Suffoletta, replacing solid silver fillings in the back of your mouth with shorter lasting cosmetic ones. If it were me I would increase training and/or let the customer know that they have other options. Some folks might want the service he provided to me. I recently got the Invisalign through Dr. Suffoletta and am pleased with the results I will be getting. The trays were not up to par the first time and being the perfectionist he is they were sent back. The new trays came and the results will be amazing! Dr. Jeff and his staff are the most professional and trustworthy dental staff in Vegas. I have entrusted him with all of my family members after my amazing experience with him. I have a terrible and debilitating fear of the dentist, drills, and especially shots. I have had previous dental work that was done on me without being properly anesthetized and I felt all the pain. Dr. Jeff and Marco his amazing assistant made sure that I was properly numbed before any drilling took place. I am embarrassed to say this , but Marco was sweet enough to hold my hand through the injections. After several visits to this office my fear has almost completely settled. I know that when I come to this office my teeth are going to turn out perfect and they will be empathetic of my concerns and fears. Dr. Jeff has spent numerous hours replacing my worn out, old, and substandard fillings, replaced a crown that was done incorrectly and we are going to start work on a veneer on my front tooth soon. The products he uses are the best quality a dental office can use which is why the price might be slightly higher then others but, I was surprised to find out that my dental insurance covered most of these fees. In any case, I believe in the old phrase, "you get what you pay for."
