I had a great experience at Rampart Dental , located right at the corner of Rampart & Charleston. They have all the specialists you need in one office, which is a huge plus. Sometimes you need to see a periodontist or another specialist, and normally that means making a separate appointment at a totally different location but here, you don't have to go anywhere else. I saw Dr. Sofia Valenzuela, and she is an amazing dentist . She is knowledgeable, gentle, kind and genuinely cares about her patients. Yami is our dental hygiene specialist and she caught some decay which needed two new crowns. She works very hard to get the problem spots in my mouth under control and gives me proper products and prescriptions to keep my gums healthy and this creates maintenance and less ongoing issues. Dr. Mo has done an exceptional job at taking over a practice and working on my husband and I keeping our mouths healthier. I have grown in my trust in her in just a couple of months. I am grateful she is working on my teeth. Today, I am having a crown procedure and this is done totally in house. I called today around 1:30 pm and spoke to Marita (I hope I didn't screw that up). She was happy to set up a payment plan when I walk in for my appointment on the March 30th for my cleaning. She called me back and wrote it off. She's said, "I don't want you walking in for a cleaning to worry about a debt on the same day". She is in fact the woman I spoke to in person. They staff has a positive attitude and smiles you can see from the front desk and even through the treatment masks! They provided comprehensive evaluations and Dr King was thorough in my examination and was respectful and realistic in my treatment approach helping me to understand what needed to be done and what could safely wait. Recommend by friends so decided to give them a try. Dr. King is great and I am pleased with the dental work. I'm not pleased with the billing and actually consider it questionable and deceptive. I get an estimate then am told I will receive a discount off those services which isn't the case. My insurance covers more of the estimated cost but it's not reflected in my statement on account which I am told to ignore from the employee saying it's never correct. So you know how you can lie to most dentists about your brushing and flossing habits and they'll still praise your teeth? In the words of King T'Challa, they don't do that here. It's tough love. They really care about your gum health and overall health from having healthier gums. This is the only place that simultaneously shamed and motivated me into flossing daily and I bought an electronic toothbrush (lifechanger) as well. My hygienest Yamilka is one who's helped me get closer to achieving teeth perfection and is the best as well. Conversations aren't one sided and I can time my responses in between gargles. I wrote a lengthy negative review update in 2021 and it's disappeared!! This place sucks. When I was a cash paying patient everything went well. When I turned 65 and had insurance (an advantage plan,) they wouldn't clean my teeth without the "deep cleaning." Of course, to my insurer, this was a rip off and they turned Rampart Dental down. So...I was due for my USUAL cleaning... and, like other reviewers said, the office refused to do anything other than the deep clean. I wrote a letter to Dr. King...asking for an explanation...got bupkis. So, it appears that patient satisfaction or CUSTOMER SERVICE doesn't matter. Avoid like the plague. The minute you walk in it just feels good.....wait, feels good to be at the dentist? Well, okay maybe not everyone will feel good, but they are amazing. The office is super clean, the staff is super friendly and professional. Between my husband, myself, and my son, we have had all kinds of services. Wait a minute. Is this a used car lot disguised as a dental office? Needed a new dentist due to an insurance change. I have been a twice-per-year dental patient with the same dentist for 12 years. Selected Rampart because of their alleged excellent reviews. Upon entry, I should have followed my gut when I spotted the bizarre decor. Then, as the receptionist was checking me in, I could hear two staff members discussing a personnel issue. Front receptionist was kind enough. Went through a long battery of X-rays, then met the dentist (Dr. Yip). She too, was perfectly fine. What was not acceptable in way, shape, or form was being told I was "required" to "purchase" the "special deep gum cleaning" that included numbing. When I politely asked for a routine cleaning which was what I requested when I made the appointment, the pressure to "buy" Rampart Dental's "deep gum cleaning" was really put upon me. Next, I turned to my right and saw two staff members lurking around the corner while the sales pressure was strengthened even further. I was anticipating the dentist and staff were about to high-five each other because they thought they had one "on the hook." Couldn't get out of there fast enough. I came here once three years ago for routine cleaning. They kept trying to get me to buy additional treatments and appliances that I didn't need. They told me I needed a night guard and that my insurance would cover it. I received a $300 bill three years after I had been treated. I was forced to pay in order to avoid being sent to collections. I was very disappointed with this office. They con you into xray, exam and cleaning for $49.00. When you get there, they tell you that they can't do the cleaning because you need a deeper cleaning. I had to re-schedule my appointment. I did go back for the deep cleaning and ended up spending over $500 before I left the office. What a racket? I don't care how clean, how professional, and how friendly they are. That should be required to work with the public. They don't get any extra brownie points for that. read more

I stumbled upon the Rampart Dental Group after my dentist referred me to another oral surgeon who was booked too far out. I had my mom call into Rampart Dental Group to check their availability and to my benefit, they had availability within that upcoming week. Insurance was cleared and appointment was booked. I would've loved to give these guys a five star review however, there was an issue with some miscommunication on the pricing as well as what was quoted prior to my arrival. I was suppose to go in to remove 2 of my wisdom teeth but ended up removing 4 since I am one of the very few people who have extra wisdom teeth. I am the type where I want to get it all done in one sitting so, fast forward past the pricing issues which eventually were resolved. There was even more confusion because they had me listed for local anesthetic which was insane. I refused to be wide awake while this surgery was happening! Being put to sleep is always scary but it was worth the extra price to not be awake on the local anesthetic during the process. The Dr. who performed my extractions was nice and quite humorous. He allowed for my mom to be present for most of the routine and I feel like it went by very quick. They make sure you are good to go with prescriptions for the pain as well as direct contact information for the Dr. which I thought was pretty cool. After my surgery, maybe a few days later I had noticed there was like a piece of tooth still dangling on the side of my gums, so initially I was freaked out but it eventually rubbed off on it's own. Overall, the experience was good. I wish they had a referral program for family and friends because I referred my co-worker there and she mentioned my visit and nice words and they told her they didn't participate in nothing like that so.. read more
