Really, our assigned party person was great! Then there was pizza from their kitchen and cake! We chose the cupcake cake which tasting it was from Holloway. There are public restrooms at the brick building across the sidewalk on the side of the picnic tables towards the parking. For public restrooms they're not bad! A quick straight stroll (2 blocks or so) to get ice cream and go out to eat or shop around! Great location.

The Tennis Center is located conveniently near the Golf Clubhouse/driving range/putting green so its easy to do a golf/tennis day and you can grab lunch at the McCormicks restaurant in the Clubhouse. The instruction is great, the pros we worked with, Victoria and Tyler were just great, super knowledgeable and experienced teachers. They are really easy to schedule with and flexible with hours. During the summer, they offer a tennis camp for kids which is so much fun for the children and they get great instruction and court time too. What a great place to spend your time on Jekyll Island!!

I was so relieved to find Summer Waves offers a smaller, cleaner, more-personal, less-dangerous water park experience. We found it to be exactly that. Though Jekyll is close to a tropical climate, the water park is only open in warmer months (May-Sept). Inclement weather is an issue in their part of the country at that time of year. At least a month of the time Summer Waves is open is hurricane season. There are clear rain policy rules, which kinda stink but are for everyone's safety. One day we called to verify they were open only to show up TEN MINUTES LATER and be turned away at the gate due to thunderstorms. Luckily we were staying 5min away but can you imagine driving farther? And paying $10 island toll for that? The next day weather was great and my husband and son had a ball. They'd planned to stay 2 hours but lasted 6! My 7yo was a little intimidated by the enclosed taller slides but he got over it after trying them and they covered every attraction in the park except the baby/toddler stuff. They did the lazy river over and over! I saw pictures/reviews of the traffic and chaos in July, wow! Go in late August (when local kids are back to school and the park is only open weekends) and it's perfect! They waited 5min at most, and that happened once. It was just step up and go! It's not huge but it's up-to-date, clean, uncrowded at the right times, and very reasonably priced under $30pp. No bugs (Jekyll has a huge dragonfly population to rid pesty bugs), good breeze on most days. Make sure to reapply sunscreen. My son got burnt for the first time in his life despite full application of spf 25 (which kept him white as a sheet for weeks prior on Jekyll's beaches), but the park uses salt water and is very exposed to the sun so take heed. All in all a great experience!

A great place to relax, shell, or dip your feet in the tidal pools. From South Dunes Beach we made it to almost Glory Beach. During our walks southward to Glory Beach on the three days while on Jekyll Island, we noticed at least 60-70 turtles nests as well as conservation volunteers, patrolling, tracking, documenting and monitoring the nests. We even had the privilege of seeing the little hatchlings getting released..

This angered me because it's a hazard to the animals and the people who come here and there is NO DNR, ranger or police information anywhere to report this behavior. I even confronted the idiots and told them how stupid they were. Total low life losers. Keep your kids clear away from the water because they come straight to any person they see.

Definitely would recommend starting here first if you are intending to do some serious fishing. They also have several picnic tables with barbecue grills and an outdoor bathroom that is really clean. They also have a beach area if the kids wanna hang out which also seems to serve as additional areas for shore fishing.

It wasn't anything needed, but the deal was too good to pass. Staff was really friendly and attentive. Vibe in the store is welcoming and unobtrusive. Will be back next trip!

The women's bathroom was clean (which is always nice). Across the street there are two tennis courts and a space to walk or play with pets. The locals I came across were very friendly too!
