I don't write review usual, but I have really bad unforgettable taste this time and really need to share with everyone. I looked at their menu online and see they have egg puff and coconut pudding before I drove down there. When I arrived this place, they don't have any coconut dish nor egg puff AT ALL which are very disappointing. If they don't have any of them, why they advertise on the web site. However this review is not for this disappointment, it is for their food quality or taste. Since they don't have anything but just some kind of rice bento box and I ordered one of their stri flied yellow beef over rice which advertised is good there and cost $14.99 and almost $17 with tax, and the portion of the bental box is very small and is not worth for $17 and also it doesn't look good at all when I first open up the bento box. When I taste it, it taste so wired and not spicy at all but just very salty. The dish seems like come from some regular home mother cook and not the real chef for this kind of dish... I can cook a lot better than here. I ended up only eating white rice and throw away all beef portion... If you want some good dish, go somewhere else..., the food is not good at all.

I got four items and they were all not too great, very bland and just thrown together but the drinks were pretty for sure! I thought I would like the balls at the very lease but they did not go well with the blandness of the other components of the drink. Pickup was easy and fast. It was through Snackpass and was around $30 for 4 items. Overall, I wouldn't go again but if you're a fan of blander, jelly desserts with toppings on top, this is the spot for you.
Split 2 desserts with 2 other people on a hot day this past summer! Very fruity and refreshing, not too sweet, and was a nice light dessert after a large meal. The toppings were an enjoyable addition and the presentation was very pleasing. It was pretty quiet when we went- you order through a kiosk then pick up the food at the counter. Lots of seating/tables inside to enjoy your food. A little pricy for the size/quantity but worth a try!
The PINA COLADA sign was CALLING me. I had to give in to the temptation. It's a slightly nicer place to catch up with friends for a snack. The drinks are BEAUTIFUL, so give them extra time to prep! Their drinks are mainly slurp-able jelly and sweetness is subtle. Very different from boba. Anyways, I'd recommend y'all give em a try for a healthy drink and snack!

It was easy to order at the kiosk and the drink came fairly quickly. I would stand by the fact that it was too pricy for a drink that wasn't great.
We ordered purple yam drink for kids, it is not fresh at all. Disgusting! Service was ok. If the drink is not good, even the ambiance is good, I won't go back! Don't recommend at all.

While the mango puree tasted floral and sweet, the rice balls had no flavor because they weren't soaked in syrup, the purple rice ball was not sweet at all and also didn't have any flavor, and the entire cup of jelly wasn't sweet or flavored. I don't see the appeal at all. It wasn't sweet enough for a dessert and most of the cup didn't have any flavor. Even after it was all mixed together, there was about a half cup left of the plain jelly and it wasn't pleasant to drink.
Jell & Chill is located at Cupertino Village. It shares a space with Yang's Braised Chicken Rice. This place opened up a year ago, taking over the Sweethoney Dessert spot. I didn't order anything specifically from here, but I got the Yang's combo which included the Yuzu Chill Jelly. The drink was good and flavorful -- not too sweet. I will need to return to explore their menu further.
I ordered the yuzu because I wanted something light and refreshing. Their yuzu did not disappoint. It was refreshing and filled with toppings. My wallet was hurting a little because this was pricey for a small drink. It does have more jelly than liquid though, so I guess the price is fair. I refilled the cup with water after coming home and made it into a fruit-infused water.
Strolling by with a friend looking for a drink dessert after eating a savory ramen dish and came upon this place. Sleek, clean, modern interior with plenty of seating. Looking for the menu, the lady at the counter directed us to the self order kiosk. She told us about the popular and seasonal drinks at the moment and described the special seed used to make the jelly. Most drinks are vegan too...even better! Whipped toppings can easily be removed. After making a tough decision of which drink to order, we decided on the taro haze. I'm a huge taro lover and looking for the best. I have to say this one is pretty up there with the best! Not sweet at all which I love. Taro slushy, with jelly, taro chunks, almonds, taro mochi- perfect! $8.75 Lots of interesting drinks to choose from. A little pricey tho. I guess every once in awhile it's ok to treat yourself, you deserve it!
Overpriced for this drink size with almost $10 charge. I tried the Rosie's Evil Twin and the first sip was super sweet because the brown sugar syrup was all at the bottom without properly mixed. The experience wasn't great also because they give you a boba straw but the soft dumplings keep stuck in the middle. We had to ask for spoons. The matcha eggs waffle also has too much green tea powder inside. Simple decor, not the elaborate interior like Bober. Probably won't be back.
Super cute dessert/dinner place that is tucked in the back of Cupertino Village beside Truedan. We had already eaten before but they had some yummy clay pot chicken rice that I would absolutely try next time. We did come for the desserts though and they did not disappoint. The Persimmon Sunrise was a seasonal special and they did not skimp on the persimmons! Super creamy from the coconut milk but also super fruity, this was absolutely a favorite! The other dessert I forgot the name of but had a full stick of honey comb in it and a much more herbal Asian dessert flavor if that is your jam. Honestly also pretty good - we just couldn't finish both lol. There was no crowd on a Monday evening so we had most of the place to ourselves to hang. The owners were also super nice and didn't even kick us out when they started closing at 9 (and even made us one final egg waffle for the road!). Overall I cannot say enough nice and great things about this place! Super underrated find and highly recommend!
This was a good find. Jell & Chill is a newish addition to the area. There are a plethora of tea and dessert places in this area. I like this place and how they specialize in bing fen jelly. The staff recommended the summer peach flavor to me and I was highly satisfied with their recommendation. It crackled as I drank it. This is the first drink I've had that makes sounds and gives tingly sensations. It's a bit pricy than your average boba drink, but it's highly worth it. They have a high quality drink and variety of options. For a Friday night, it was not as packed but I think this is because there's several options in this plaza. Order at the machine or with the staff. 10/10 for summer peach

OMG I LOVE THIS PLACE!! I stumbled upon it when walking around the mall and I'm so glad I tried it. It's a cute little stand in Valley Fair and the service was super quick. I got the yuzu flavor and it was so light and refreshing and not too sweet. I loved the combination of flavors and textures of the different jellies, fresh grapefruit, and slush. I wish they had a place like this in socal! I finished the drink so fast I wanted another one read more
I came to Jell & Chill 甜心閑生 was because of Dining Reward for airline miles. Because I already ate my dinner and thought to swing by to get a dessert. When I walked in, I smelled the aroma of some yummy food from the kitchen. Then, I looked around to see what I just smelled. Wait. It's a hot-food restaurant. I don't know how long it has been with their hot food option. I didn't care for cold food because the weather was pretty cold for me. So, I ordered a meal to takeout for my sister. The employee gave me a bowl of hot soup knowing it didn't come with soup because it was takeout. So nice. I would definitely come back when they fully develop the hot food menu. read more

Jell and Chill used to be one of my favorite dessert places, especially the one in San Bernadino. However, they closed down permanently, and I was genuinely looking forward to the ones in NorCal. I am so disappointed at the quality of this, and I am surprised how they are still in business... Service was ok. Desserts are ok tasting, but NOT AT ALL CLOSE to how it used to be before. mega disappointed 0/10 read more

Was excited to see egg waffles offered but unfortunately if you know what the authentic ones from Hong Kong taste like, these are not it. Nevertheless, they dont taste bad, they just don't have that crispy outer shell with a chewy inside that egg waffles are known for. Price is $6.99 for regular, $7.25-7.99 for ones with filling (ube, matcha, chocolate) so it's not cheap but about the same price as other places selling it. Didn't try the drinks but looking at other reviews, they're just ok too. Servers are very nice though! read more
I ordered the Mango and enjoyed it - it was a really refreshing dessert. I can definitely see why it's not for everyone because it wasn't sweet at all. The slurpable jelly base was flavorless but has a cooling sensation in the mouth - all the flavor came from the toppings. It's a great dessert for a warm day! read more
Jell & Chill is located in the Cupertino Village plaza. My friends and I came here on a Sunday night and it was not that packed. There was plenty of parking in the plaza. The order process was easier with the kios. The price was a bit steep. We got the purple haze and mango bowl. Mango bowl came with crystal sugar base, handcrafted bing fen jelly, mango pomelo sago, fresh mango, black sticky rice ball, rice ball. The only things I liked about this bowl were the sticky rice and rice ball. Everything else just felt a bit off, and it didn't have much flavor. Purple haze comes came with purple yam, taro, handcrafted bing fen jelly, purple yam slushy, handcrafted taro ball, whipped cream, peanuts, and almonds. It was an interesting dessert, but I did like it more than the mango bowl. There was more flavor in it and the ube was quite strong. As a uber lover, I honestly didn't mind at all. I loved the chewy texture from the taro ball. The almonds were really unnecessary, but it woud make the dessert prettier. All in all, I'm not quite sure how I feel about Jelly & Chill. Maybe, I'll come back to try different items. read more
Such a unique dessert shop! We need more in the Bay Area I love that this place is vegan friendly and supposedly healthier. I don't like desserts that are too sweet and send me into a sugar crash so this was perfect. I ordered the purple haze and I would highly recommend it if you are a taro fan. I also tried others like the mango and honey peach and thought it was very fragrant and yummy. I feel like getting boba is the only option for dessert these days so it is refreshing to have something new in the area. The servers were also fantastic and would give us recommendations on what to order/ how to eat. They were awesome. Will definitely be back for more! read more
Discovered this place by looking at my friend's Instagram. My first thought was about how aesthetic the desserts were. My second thought was what kind of dessert is this? When I finally had the opportunity to go to Jell & Chill, I discovered that the dessert consists of jelly, fruit puree, ice, topping, and more. The desserts that I got are the Peach and the Melon Dragonfruit. They were both very tasty. The peach one was very peachy. I liked that it didn't taste too much like a synthetic peach flavor. It had some fresh peach in it and the flavor was refreshing. The Melon Dragonfruit dessert tasted more like melon than Dragonfruit. It was a very refreshing flavor. It tasted clean and had a fresh melon flavor. The jelly in both was soft and light. Overall, I liked the dessert, but the price is a bit high. Definitely worth trying though! read more

I was super excited to see a new dessert place. This place replaced the Sweet Honey location in Cupertino. Sweet Honey since I tried it years ago to recently went wayyy downhill and since Hui Lau Shan opened nearby I go there for my mango cravings ( but you still have to wait 30-45 minutes for it). They are located in NYC and Toronto and known for bīngfěn (冰粉), also called ice jelly. It's made out of seeds from a plant and known for its antioxidant and health/medicinal properties. Supposedly more healthier. Even though it is a tasteless (and suppose to be) , I really enjoyed the Mango but there was so much bingfen it was a bit overwhelming for me. Yuzu was overly sour for me but the Taro in Purple Haze was really good. The names definitely matched the description of the drinks. I'm still not sure how I feel about the bingfen because for me it feels like an extra topping that I am not crazy about but I would def try it again. The mango was very fresh and not overly sweet. read more
I was excited to see the opening of Jell & Chill in Cupertino Village, and that they were offering a 10% off promotion for their soft opening the other week. I understand that there will be kinks for new openings, and additional patience may be needed, but customer service could use improvement. Jell & Chill's jelly is made from the plant seeds from "Apple of Peru", which is 100% organic and was used for calming, relaxing, and detoxing in traditional Chinese medicine. They hand make the crystal clear jelly with bubbles in it everyday. Also, they use premium brown sugar for the base and special syrup that is imported from Southwest China. There are zero additives, and the sugar is 100% organic. I loved that you could pre-order online and schedule a pick-up on their website without additional fees: 39miles.com/p/05315239. For the soft opening, I placed my order the morning of for a pick up at 11:45am on Tuesday. I called them on my drive over since I didn't receive a text confirming that my order was ready, and they told me that the ingredients weren't ready yet. I was asked to come back later in the day, and I confirmed an updated pickup time of 4:30pm. An hour later, I received a confirmation text that my order was ready, and they also called me to let me know. However, I was already back at home and had work meetings scheduled, and I asked them if I could pick up at 4:30 instead, which is the time I thought we had already agreed on. They confirmed that was fine, and that they would remake the dessert at that time. Fast forward to 4:30pm- I arrive at their shop and my order isn't ready. They started preparing it once I had arrived, since apparently they weren't sure when I was coming? To add insult to injury, their cashier (possibly one of the owners) flagged me over as I was waiting. She proceeded to lecture me about using their online ordering system to select a pick up time in the future. I had to remind her that I DID use their online system, but my order wasn't ready by the selected time and I had to waste time and gas driving back and forth for no reason. Despite this horrible customer service experience, she never apologized for the mix up, or for lecturing a customer over their mistake. Since it was their soft opening, I didn't factor this incident into the rating, which would be 1 star otherwise. In any case, after waiting about 10 minutes, my order was finally ready. I wouldn't order this dessert again. With the high prices and mediocre tasting desserts and customer service, I won't be back. At least all staff were wearing masks correctly, and hand sanitizer was available. Both indoor and outdoor seating was available. Parking can be difficult in this plaza during the weekends, but additional parking spots are available in the back of the plaza. read more

I was originally going to Truedan right next door when Jell and Chill caught my eye. It was a Saturday night and it was pretty packed. They specialize in a jelly made from the seeds of a plant which supposedly provides health benefits in traditional chinese medicine (according to their website). The only menus as of my visit are the paper ones by the register or the QR code at the register which links you to (https://www.39miles.com/p/05315239). The cashier told me that the website is the most up to date as not everything on the paper menu is available. I ordered the rosie with the cashier and you have to provide your phone number for the order. You'll receive a text when the order is ready and be ready to provide the last 4 of your number. I get why they ask for your number but I wish there was an option where you didn't have to use your phone number to retrieve your order. Anyway, the rosie came in three packages - 1) a cup of jelly with rose syrup and rice, 2) a container for rice balls, and 3) a container for nuts, raisins, and other fixings. I have to say when everything is mixed, you get a strong rose flavor in the beginning but the flavor fades after a second. The jelly it self has no flavor and the lingering bites are just of almonds and raisins. Upon entering , there is no hostess but a self order machine, you have to put your number in order to place order, and there is no way to skip the phone number part. Ordered the signature Rosie's evil tmin to try, it came with three little topping containers where you have to put on your drink (fen jelly) yourself. Topping includes brown sugar, rice call, raisin peanut. The fen jelly combination looked interesting , but taste does not impress me. Jell & Chill is the newest dessert place that has graced Cupertino Village. They specialize in bing fen (冰粉), also known as ice jelly. For those who aren't familiar with this desert, bing fen is native to Southwest China and made from the seeds of the NIcandra physalodes plant. The jelly is usually served in a bowl with a variety of toppings, and commonly sold during the summertime as a street food favorite. Jell & Chill offers a variety of flavors including fruit, taro, and brown sugar. Their menu can be accessed via the QR code posted on the tables in the store, or via the self-serve kiosk (which you can also use to place your order). I entered the store on a Monday afternoon and to my surprise I didn't see any staff at first glance. A bit confused at first, I made my way over to the self-serve kiosk and placed my order for the Yuzu. Just a quick note, the dessert names aren't very descriptive (e.g. Yuzu, Mango, Matcha Soul); however, if you click on the dessert name (on the self-serve kiosk) it'll take you to a page where the actual components of the dessert are listed in detail. I will admit that the price tag for one cup isn't the easiest to stomach, my dessert came out to just under $9, so this probably won't be something I'd get regularly since there's other deserts and offerings I could get for well under that cost. In less than 5-10 minutes I had my dessert in hand and ready to enjoy. This was my first time trying bing fen and I'm definitely a fan! They serve their bing fen in a cup with a straw (vs. a bowl), but I didn't find that to be a bother, in fact I actually thought it was easier for me to enjoy it while strolling around Cupertino Village. Overall, I found the dessert fairly refreshing and not overly sweet (which is a nice change). If you're looking to try a new dessert place in Cupertino Village, then Jell & Chill is definitely for you (if you're already a fan of bing fen, then this dessert shop has your name all over it)! read more
Been meaning to try this place for a while Grapefruit Jelly 4/5 I don't really like grapefruit but this actually tasted pretty decent Peach jelly 4/5 I wish it had more peach. The peach tasted not fresh but also we arent in season. I am not that into jelly desserts, but it was something to try. I think these would be a little better with some more crushed ice as it feels like it could be a nice cold dessert especially now that summer is rolling around. read more
I came here with my mom after picking up food to go and decided to try this newer concept dessert spot! I'm glad I did because it's definitely different from the current trends of dessert. Located right next to Truedan and Bbq chicken, jell and chill is definitely something you would want during the hot summer days! I tried the yuzu dessert cup and was pleasantly surprised at how it tasted. First off, there were various hints of yuzu which was perfect and the jellies were rather large chunks that you'd have to separate and pick apart. However, with each bite, it was utterly refreshing as the next one. I also tried the durian one and that was by far the one I liked the most. The custard-y texture combined with the coconut milk and purple rice and mochi with the jelly really added a new flare in how a summer time hot weather dessert should be. The only thing I liked here was the ube waffle puff-- it's actually really good. The drink/dessert is not that great. I got the peach one (I can't remember what it's actually called) and it was $9! So expensive for a small cup of dessert that's just ok. It's not very sweet, which is usually a good thing, but it was also not cold. Warm jelly does not taste good. I wouldn't go out of my way to come here, but i would get the waffle puffs again if I'm in the area. read more
Located along the sides of Cupertino Fringe, Jell & Chill is an innocuous bing fen shop that offers a good variety for an acceptable price. I visited on a weekend after lunch, and the shop was empty except for a single staff member and two sitting patrons. Ordering went smoothly, and prep took a few minutes. I got the Mango bing fen option, and it was cute. Unfortunately, this was also my second choice as they had run out of the Pina Colada ingredients. Considering I was there on the weekend and at lunch, this was a bit disappointing, but the mango option wasn't a bad second. read more

Yummy and unique! I absolutely love the persimmon jelly - not only did it come out quickly and look beautiful, the flavor of the fresh persimmon and the lovely texture of the jelly combined to make for a perfect dessert. Also ordered a braised chicken bowl for lunch, which came out bubbling hot and was a perfect savory lunch to complement a cold and rainy day. Service was fast and excellent. Spent an afternoon here camped out with my laptop for work - this is a great place to study with a nice cup of fruit jelly or do some light laptop activities while munching chicken rice. There's wifi, comfy chairs, as well as plugs against the wall on the left hand side of the shop. Not too many other customers were sitting inside, so I didn't feel bad occupying the table. This place gets more crowded in the evening, so I did pack up to go as the dinnertime rush started up. read more

3.5/5 Very cute place with nice staff! I got the pina colada and tbh was not that great for my liking. I like the jelly part but the fruit base was soooooooo sweet. I literally just had the jelly and kiwi only. Maybe I need to try something else next time. 8.75 for a cup! read more
I really like this concept of bing feng jelly. Sometimes, you just want some sort of dessert, but not boba or ice cream or pastries, and this definitely fits in the unique category. I really wanted to try the persimmon osthmanthus flavor, but unfortunately, was told this was a winter flavor. The Rosie's evil twin and Rosie's drink sound interesting, and I would get it, but don't care for having nuts in my drink. We ended up getting the mango flavor. Hubby wasn't a fan - he thought the mango was a bit sour, and the jelly had no flavor. I will admit - it does grow on you. I do wish the jelly was cooler; ours was room temperature. Wish they also gave more rice balls as well. Will have to go again to try the osmanthus persimmon flavor. read more

Yummy dessert! We got the purple yam bingfen jelly. Includes purple yam balls, and the whip cream and almonds can be removed. The dessert was easy to order through a kiosk. Staff was friendly and ready to be of assistance. Restaurant was clean and had a nice vibe to it with all the neon lights. At $8.75, it feels a little pricey, but understandable for the location it's in! Also, if you check in through Yelp you get 10% off! read more
