I looked at their menu online and see they have egg puff and coconut pudding before I drove down there. When I arrived this place, they don't have any coconut dish nor egg puff AT ALL which are very disappointing. If they don't have any of them, why they advertise on the web site. Looking for the menu, the lady at the counter directed us to the self order kiosk. Overpriced for this drink size with almost $10 charge. I tried the Rosie's Evil Twin and the first sip was super sweet because the brown sugar syrup was all at the bottom without properly mixed. Super cute dessert/dinner place that is tucked in the back of Cupertino Village beside Truedan. We had already eaten before but they had some yummy clay pot chicken rice that I would absolutely try next time. We did come for the desserts though and they did not disappoint. The Persimmon Sunrise was a seasonal special and they did not skimp on the persimmons! Super creamy from the coconut milk but also super fruity, this was absolutely a favorite! The other dessert I forgot the name of but had a full stick of honey comb in it and a much more herbal Asian dessert flavor if that is your jam. Honestly also pretty good - we just couldn't finish both lol. There was no crowd on a Monday evening so we had most of the place to ourselves to hang. This is the first drink I've had that makes sounds and gives tingly sensations. It's a bit pricy than your average boba drink, but it's highly worth it. They have a high quality drink and variety of options. For a Friday night, it was not as packed but I think this is because there's several options in this plaza. Discovered this place by looking at my friend's Instagram. My first thought was about how aesthetic the desserts were. My second thought was what kind of dessert is this? When I finally had the opportunity to go to Jell & Chill, I discovered that the dessert consists of jelly, fruit puree, ice, topping, and more. The desserts that I got are the Peach and the Melon Dragonfruit. They were both very tasty. The peach one was very peachy. I liked that it didn't taste too much like a synthetic peach flavor. It had some fresh peach in it and the flavor was refreshing. The Melon Dragonfruit dessert tasted more like melon than Dragonfruit. It was a very refreshing flavor. I was super excited to see a new dessert place. This place replaced the Sweet Honey location in Cupertino. Sweet Honey since I tried it years ago to recently went wayyy downhill and since Hui Lau Shan opened nearby I go there for my mango cravings ( but you still have to wait 30-45 minutes for it). They are located in NYC and Toronto and known for bīngfěn (冰粉), also called ice jelly. It's made out of seeds from a plant and known for its antioxidant and health/medicinal properties. Supposedly more healthier. Even though it is a tasteless (and suppose to be) , I really enjoyed the Mango but there was so much bingfen it was a bit overwhelming for me. Yuzu was overly sour for me but the Taro in Purple Haze was really good. The names definitely matched the description of the drinks. I'm still not sure how I feel about the bingfen because for me it feels like an extra topping that I am not crazy about but I would def try it again. I was excited to see the opening of Jell & Chill in Cupertino Village, and that they were offering a 10% off promotion for their soft opening the other week. I understand that there will be kinks for new openings, and additional patience may be needed, but customer service could use improvement. Jell & Chill's jelly is made from the plant seeds from "Apple of Peru", which is 100% organic and was used for calming, relaxing, and detoxing in traditional Chinese medicine. They hand make the crystal clear jelly with bubbles in it everyday. Also, they use premium brown sugar for the base and special syrup that is imported from Southwest China. There are zero additives, and the sugar is 100% organic. I loved that you could pre-order online and schedule a pick-up on their website without additional fees: 39miles.com/p/05315239. For the soft opening, I placed my order the morning of for a pick up at 11:45am on Tuesday. I called them on my drive over since I didn't receive a text confirming that my order was ready, and they told me that the ingredients weren't ready yet. I was asked to come back later in the day, and I confirmed an updated pickup time of 4:30pm. An hour later, I received a confirmation text that my order was ready, and they also called me to let me know. However, I was already back at home and had work meetings scheduled, and I asked them if I could pick up at 4:30 instead, which is the time I thought we had already agreed on. They confirmed that was fine, and that they would remake the dessert at that time. Fast forward to 4:30pm- I arrive at their shop and my order isn't ready. They started preparing it once I had arrived, since apparently they weren't sure when I was coming? To add insult to injury, their cashier (possibly one of the owners) flagged me over as I was waiting. She proceeded to lecture me about using their online ordering system to select a pick up time in the future. I had to remind her that I DID use their online system, but my order wasn't ready by the selected time and I had to waste time and gas driving back and forth for no reason. Despite this horrible customer service experience, she never apologized for the mix up, or for lecturing a customer over their mistake. Since it was their soft opening, I didn't factor this incident into the rating, which would be 1 star otherwise. In any case, after waiting about 10 minutes, my order was finally ready. I was originally going to Truedan right next door when Jell and Chill caught my eye. It was a Saturday night and it was pretty packed. They specialize in a jelly made from the seeds of a plant which supposedly provides health benefits in traditional chinese medicine (according to their website). The cashier told me that the website is the most up to date as not everything on the paper menu is available. I ordered the rosie with the cashier and you have to provide your phone number for the order. You'll receive a text when the order is ready and be ready to provide the last 4 of your number. I get why they ask for your number but I wish there was an option where you didn't have to use your phone number to retrieve your order. Anyway, the rosie came in three packages - 1) a cup of jelly with rose syrup and rice, 2) a container for rice balls, and 3) a container for nuts, raisins, and other fixings. I have to say when everything is mixed, you get a strong rose flavor in the beginning but the flavor fades after a second. The jelly it self has no flavor and the lingering bites are just of almonds and raisins. Jell & Chill is the newest dessert place that has graced Cupertino Village. They specialize in bing fen (冰粉), also known as ice jelly. For those who aren't familiar with this desert, bing fen is native to Southwest China and made from the seeds of the NIcandra physalodes plant. The jelly is usually served in a bowl with a variety of toppings, and commonly sold during the summertime as a street food favorite. Jell & Chill offers a variety of flavors including fruit, taro, and brown sugar. Their menu can be accessed via the QR code posted on the tables in the store, or via the self-serve kiosk (which you can also use to place your order). I entered the store on a Monday afternoon and to my surprise I didn't see any staff at first glance. A bit confused at first, I made my way over to the self-serve kiosk and placed my order for the Yuzu. Just a quick note, the dessert names aren't very descriptive (e.g. Yuzu, Mango, Matcha Soul); however, if you click on the dessert name (on the self-serve kiosk) it'll take you to a page where the actual components of the dessert are listed in detail. I will admit that the price tag for one cup isn't the easiest to stomach, my dessert came out to just under $9, so this probably won't be something I'd get regularly since there's other deserts and offerings I could get for well under that cost. In less than 5-10 minutes I had my dessert in hand and ready to enjoy. This was my first time trying bing fen and I'm definitely a fan! They serve their bing fen in a cup with a straw (vs. a bowl), but I didn't find that to be a bother, in fact I actually thought it was easier for me to enjoy it while strolling around Cupertino Village. Overall, I found the dessert fairly refreshing and not overly sweet (which is a nice change). First off, there were various hints of yuzu which was perfect and the jellies were rather large chunks that you'd have to separate and pick apart. However, with each bite, it was utterly refreshing as the next one. I also tried the durian one and that was by far the one I liked the most. The custard-y texture combined with the coconut milk and purple rice and mochi with the jelly really added a new flare in how a summer time hot weather dessert should be. I Love Jell & Chill! Along with Tong Sui, my two favorite Asian desserts in the Bay. Ones I've tried thus far are the Rosie, The Persimmon (winter special), The Durian. Personally, I love the Persimmon and my husband loved the Durian. This dessert actually feels light and healthier, compared to bubble tea (which is often nowadays like drinking a gigantic milkshake) or someone of the other Asian desserts that claim health, but can't possibly be with the amount of processed stuff, sugar, and dairy that's added. This is a Asian dessert, so not too sweet. If your tastebuds are used to a TON of sugar, this may not be for you. If you like light, summery, and not two sweet desserts, I'd def check this place out. read more

Yummy and unique! I absolutely love the persimmon jelly - not only did it come out quickly and look beautiful, the flavor of the fresh persimmon and the lovely texture of the jelly combined to make for a perfect dessert. Also ordered a braised chicken bowl for lunch, which came out bubbling hot and was a perfect savory lunch to complement a cold and rainy day. Service was fast and excellent. Spent an afternoon here camped out with my laptop for work - this is a great place to study with a nice cup of fruit jelly or do some light laptop activities while munching chicken rice. There's wifi, comfy chairs, as well as plugs against the wall on the left hand side of the shop. Not too many other customers were sitting inside, so I didn't feel bad occupying the table. I really like this concept of bing feng jelly. Sometimes, you just want some sort of dessert, but not boba or ice cream or pastries, and this definitely fits in the unique category. I really wanted to try the persimmon osthmanthus flavor, but unfortunately, was told this was a winter flavor. The Rosie's evil twin and Rosie's drink sound interesting, and I would get it, but don't care for having nuts in my drink. We ended up getting the mango flavor. Hubby wasn't a fan - he thought the mango was a bit sour, and the jelly had no flavor. I will admit - it does grow on you. I do wish the jelly was cooler; ours was room temperature. Wish they also gave more rice balls as well. Will have to go again to try the osmanthus persimmon flavor. read more

Went to get a drink here after lunch, BIG MISTAKE! Ordered 2 drinks with my friend, we were the only ones in there, it took 20 minutes to get our order! As for the drinks, way too sweet, the picture did not resemble the actual drink whatsoever. The sizing was not what we expected. Do Not, I repeat DO NOT, go here. Yummy dessert! We got the purple yam bingfen jelly. Includes purple yam balls, and the whip cream and almonds can be removed. The dessert was easy to order through a kiosk. Staff was friendly and ready to be of assistance. Restaurant was clean and had a nice vibe to it with all the neon lights. Too bad. Too sweet. Too hot. Too slow. I ordered 2 drinks and 1 waffle. They didn't have any other guests at that time and they took like half an hour to finish my order. They didn't turn the AC on so its extremely hot in there. The cashier who is a young girl, well she is good but she can't have a smile. I know it's your part time job but this is a service job, you should smile more often. $9 for such a super sweet bad drink. I would say i never ever come back and I do not recommend this to anyone.
