12/05/2025 came here for some quick boba but I have came to this location several times, just never wrote a review. Some seating inside and outside. This place is located in the corner. I always order the taro milk with boba (no caffeine). About ~$8, with the size upgrade. The taro is fresh and nicely pounded and the boba is chewy and for me just right. The server is super patient w me. Was baby sitting a boy and he was being over the top. Thank you so much for helping me out. He loves the drinks and the macaroon.

Most review in Cupertino - the original OG. I tried the Muddy Okinawa with almond milk and 25% sweet. Basically almond milk with brown sugar and the perfect boba! It was not too crowded but they have a steady flow of people all day. Parking is usually not a problem. The staff is pretty nice which is always a plus.

i've always passed by this spot but never tried it so i decided to try it today. it was honesty pretty good, not bad at all. drinks are not sweet which i liked and tea and milk ratio is good. the boba is also not hard and is a good amount of chewy. service was quick too, drinks came out in a few minutes. there are many tables so you can sit and and do some work there too. the passion one was okay, not my favorite, was a bit too sour for me but taste was still good

When in the area, always stopping by! Love new strawberry matcha latte! Always great service, friendly staff and plenty of tables and seats... Sometimes, especially during the lunch times on a week it's hard to find the parking...

Taro slushie 4/5 - I like that they use real taro in this drink instead of powder. I prefer a stronger taro taste but this was still good

Grapefruit Sunset with aloe jelly

So delicious on a hot day! Freshly squeezed fruit juice and pulp with refreshing green tea, a touch of sweetness, just the right combo!

Ceylon milk tea with boba

I usually don't go to fantasia but I just happened to be in the area. The person who took my order for very knowledgeable. I wanted something similar to hong Kong milk tea, that strong aftertaste, and I was recommended Ceylon milk tea. It is a little bit different from the typical HK milk tea because they use milk and cane sugar, but it satisfied my cravings. I got 25% sweetness so my drink wasn't too sweet which is what I wanted. The boba is soft too and it doesn't contribute too much to the sweetness which is what I like. They changed their cups since the last time I was here.

Muddy Okinawa Ceylon Milk Tea

Came on a Sunday afternoon and the line was out the door! Thankfully, the line moved quickly and we got our drinks very quickly as well. I ordered the Muddy Okinawa Ceylon Milk Tea. The "muddy" part is the brown sugar that they streak on the sides of the cup, which adds that amazing caramelly taste to the drink. The boba was warm still and also had its own brown sugar flavor that mixed perfectly with the milk tea. We didn't expect there to be whipped cream and Oreo crumbs on top too! This is definitely a major dessert drink and we even adjusted to 75% sweetness. I would definitely come back again since it's pretty rare for me to find a place with boba that I really enjoy! Even several hours later sitting in the fridge, the boba is still quite chewy and soft!

Muddy Okinawa Fresh Milk - It was okay but not worth the hype or the $7 I spent :/

Welp... it just didn't do it for me. Maybe it was an off day or maybe they just mucked up my drink?! All of these 5 star reviews have got me questioning if I ordered the right thing. Muddy Okinawa Fresh Milk. This was all the rave and it sounded amazing so I knew I had to try it. I'm rarely ever in this part of town, but I made it point to come to Fantasia to try this very drink. Parking was a nightmare and the line was out the door. BUT... yours truly was right there ready to try this magical boba tea. Have patience because the lines get long and the service is slow. The workers were really sweet, but they clearly needed at least 2 more people behind the counter. They have lots of other teas but they're known for their fresh milk. I adore fresh milk and Okinawa Pearl tea, so I was super excited to get a taste of this. It looked the part but I was left sorely disappointed after taking my first sip. First of all, it was hella watered down. There wasn't much ice in it to begin with, so I don't think it was the ice melting. It tasted like watery milk. It wasn't very sweet even at the maximum sweetness level and even after I mixed it up a bit. I should also note that all of their drinks are non-dairy. I'm not against this, but I do feel like this can affect the taste of milk based teas. This drink wasn't cheap either! Almost $7 without toppings or tip. I mean, maybe this is the going rate nowadays since I don't get boba tea too often. But $7 just seems pricey for something that isn't up to par. So again, maybe this was just an isolated experience given all of their recent 5 star reviews. Based off of this experience alone, I probably wouldn't go out of my way to come back here again.

Fantasia Coffee & Tea Reviews in Other Languages

Ask the Community - Fantasia Coffee & Tea

Was this location of Fantasia the first boba tea shop in the United States?

One of the earliest, but I think the first was near Los Angeles. F might be the first one in the SF Bay Area

Do they have indoor seating and/or WiFi as of April 2022?

Yes, Fantasia has plenty of indoor seatings and WiFi as well.

Can you order take out by phone? I'm trying to avoid the Grubhub style services to give more directly to the restaurants, but many places only let you order ahead through those services.

Yes

Is Fantasia's patio open during the pandemic?

I believe so.. i think i've seen people seated outside. Always good to call and check tho :)

The shop has a bright, clean interior with a casual atmosphere that makes it an easy place to stop for a refreshing dessert. Seeing stacks of fresh mangoes behind the counter immediately gave me confidence that the fruit would be one of the highlights of the experience. The mango desserts were easily the best part of my visit. I tried the Pomelo & Mango with Sago, which combined sweet mango, creamy coconut milk, chewy sago, and fresh pomelo for a refreshing balance of flavors and textures. I also enjoyed the Mango Chewy Ball, where the fresh mango and smooth mango juice paired perfectly with the soft, chewy rice balls. Both desserts felt light while still being satisfying, making them a great option on a warm day. I also had the chance to try a few of the other menu items. The mango mochi was fresh and soft, with ripe mango wrapped inside a delicate chewy layer. For something different, the spicy chili fish balls offered a savory contrast to the fruit desserts, adding a bit of heat and a springy texture that balanced out all of the sweetness. The ordering process was quick and straightforward, and my food arrived not long after I found a table. The dining area was clean and comfortable, and small touches like providing wet wipes made the experience feel a little more thoughtful. It is the kind of place where you can stop in for a quick dessert or stay a little longer while sharing a few different items with friends. Overall, Hui Lau Shan is a great spot for anyone looking for fresh, fruit-forward desserts with authentic Hong Kong flavors. The quality of the mangoes, the variety of textures, and the relaxed atmosphere made it a place I would happily return to whenever I was craving something refreshing.

The ube had a smooth, creamy texture with just the right amount of sweetness, but the black sesame was the standout for me. I ended up buying four different flavors, and we ate one there in the shop. Later that night, both my husband and I developed pretty bad stomach aches. We also noticed that the jelly seemed much more watery than we expected. The store itself was very warm during our visit, the bathroom was out of service, and the cashier wasn't particularly friendly. Unfortunately, based on our experience, we don't think we'll be returning.

So when it was time for my wedding, I knew I had to get my cake from them! It was a wonderful experience from start to finish. They offer cake tasting boxes that include their most popular flavors. However, we had a specific taste profile in mind and asked if they could custom make the samples for us - they said yes without hesitation and didn't charge us extra! The samples were delicious and the pickup process was easy. We went with a ribbon cake (chocolate and vanilla) with fresh strawberries, whipped cream filling, and vanilla buttercream frosting.
