I went here on a lovely Sunday morning in search of a great breakfast sandwich and perhaps a doughnut. First, tried a donut hole which they had just placed out. I was excited. This doughnut hole was medium good. Plenty of glaze, but the dough was lacking. Overall C on the donut holes. The previous breakfast sandwich picture made it look very appetizing. Once I received the bacon egg and cheese on sourdough, I was happy with the size and the american cheese was perfectly melted. The bread was under toasted, the eggs were microwaved and somewhat bland. Bacon was above average, helping the sandwich overall. My friend got the sausage version of this sandwich, commenting the sausage was "delightful." Overall C+/B- on the sandwich. Coffee. Multiple unexpected flavors including chocolate coffee. The best part was the selection of creamers including non dairy, half and half, french vanilla, and hazelnut. Coffee flavor and strength was generic. Sadly the lid choice is the one where you push it down with your lip, not great. Coffee experience C/C-. Inside we got clean, quick, courteous service. 6 or 7 people inside in a Sunday morning. GET THERE EARLY! Like buttcrack of dawn early if you want the freshness. Always my stop when I go out fishing. Only times I've had issues with them is around or past breakfast/lunchtime when supplies are low. They do go in around 2-3 a.m. to make these fresh. So if the selection is slim or donuts are a bit dry, you waited WAAAAAY too long. That's your own damn fault There's also a high school and believe me teens will gobble up those donuts faster than cars can get in the lot. So first ones there for the freshness, past 11 or damn I even have read one idiot coming in at 330, you're gonna be SOL. read more

I LOVE Jelly Doughnut! Service is outstanding. The young ladies working behind the counter were friendly and patient with me while I ordered a little bit of everything. The doughnuts are delicious. When I crave doughnuts, I can't get them from just anywhere, they have to be from Jelly Doughnut. I've become a major hermit since COVID and will make my way here for their breakfast offerings. The doughnuts are light with the perfect amount of sugar/frosting. These doughnuts are so good that every time we get doughnuts from Jelly Doughnut, our guests ask where they came from. Quick service with a smile. I figured this is just another dough nut shop and my expectations were pretty low. Boy was I wrong! They have a huge selection of dough nuts and other baked pastries. I ordered a maple bar, again I had low expectations so I figured it would be just OK to satisfy my early morning hunger. Incorrect, they did the opposite of what I was thinking. It was fresh, light and fluffy. This place also has a 8 different flavors of coffee. It's not stale or old. I see the two workers constantly changing out the old pots and brewing new ones. This tells you that they are aware of how fresh the coffee is. Now the two employees there are very polite and are constantly smiling. They seem like they love doing this. I was sitting here and they came up and asked how my day was going. It's the little things like this that give shops personality, provide comfort and customer loyalty. This place is SUCH a whole in the wall, that my first impression was, yeah right?!? Then I tried their donuts...so fresh, melt in your mouth, round goodness. I don't believe I have ever been to a donut shop where the offerings were so fresh (sad I know). This is only the start, when it comes to Jelly Donut! SURPRISE, Breakfast sandwiches! Also incredibly fresh and delicious as the pastries they used (my guess) bagels, croissants are also made there. My favorite is the sausage, egg and cheese croissant. I called early to order breakfast sandwiches. They picked up and hung up on me and when I called back their phone was busy for a while. I thought it was a bad connection so I went their instead. And so I ordered only for the same girl who hung up on me to tell me that they weren't making them yet. I was already bummed but I ordered doughnuts. Since I was taking a dozen doughnuts I needed a bag. She told me she didn't have those either. I feel it was deliberate. I don't think I will be going back here for a while. read more

I have been coming here for years. I know another review says she got there at 3:30 and there weren't a dozen left, but you need to realize that this place opens very early, and IT IS SO GOOD that they sell out of their best doughnuts very quickly! HOWEVER, you can call ahead, and ask them to hold a doughnut/croissant (I love the chocolate croissant they make) and they will hold it for you!!! They know me....they know me. I went in twice and they remembered who I was. I work at the school down the street and stop in for treats for my students. This is, without a doubt, the best donut shop EVER. Love the place. I have never once had anything I didn't like. They know I love the bear claws and when they didn't have them once, the owner suggested an almond croissant. OK, I fell in love. He apologized for not having the bear claws, but he made an alternate suggestion and I loved it. The people who operate this shop are awesome and they have my business forever. I give this one star and will not go back. I ordered a cinnamon roll for myself and a chocolate bar for my granddaughter. The cinnamon roll looked like it had been sitting for a long time, I touched it and it was very cold. Asked the lady to please heat it up she had attitude but put it in the microwave slammed the door and walked off. I asked the other lady to please take it out she looked at me like I was bothering her but gave it to me. I no longer wanted it and gave it back and the lady said thank you but didn't offer me my money back or another donut just said they come cold now. We then I explained about their attitude she said thank you. When I said I wouldn't be back because of their lack customer service she said I can heat it up. I said no and she said thank you. This is THE donut shop... Best in town. I've been coming here since I was a kid and the taste and quality is always consistent. They use good chocolate, I can't say the same for their competition which I visited occasionally when I worked nights. The staff is friendly and always greet you with a smile. Because they're so good they get very busy and sell out quickly on many days so get there early. When you go right before closing don't expect a wide variety as they aren't going to put the leftovers out the next for sale like some places. read more
