The ice cream shop is really cute, and they have a little train that can run around the ceiling. The flavor options are limited, but they do have quite a few toppings to choose from. I got their small (1 scoop) of birthday cake with whipped cream, and they gave me a LOT of ice cream. The whipped cream was cheap to add and deliciously creamy, and the ice cream was pretty good. I liked the pieces of birthday cake in it, though the swirls of frosting were a touch too sweet for me. Not a bad experience! Your average ice cream. read more

One thing that endlessly impresses me is the manners of all the very young adults who work here. Walking into this place was just ok. It kind of made me want to turn around and go to the other icecream place across the street. The reason being is because there were nothing but young kids working. No one stuffed up and showed great customer service as far as smiling and greeting patrons that entered the store. One person was actually being useful but could have spoken as well or even said ill be right with u. We stayed and made a purchased. The icecream was good. The store was quaint and cute, aside from the kids all playing around in the back listening to music and dancing. Place looks pretty nasty according to my friend who works for the health department. Small scoops and very high prices. Ordered coffee ice cream that had no flavor at all. This small bowl ( see picture) was close to $6. My friend ordered butter pecan. Again no flavor and no pecans. Three of us ordered two scoops of ice cream apiece, that's six scoops. Wow, wow, WOW. Rich, creamy, flavorful. We got here at around 3PM on a Monday afternoon. There wasn't anyone here yet because it's the time of day between lunch and dinner and school probably JUST let out. The young ladies working here are friendly and helpful. Our treats were in our hands within a few minutes of our arrival and payment is a cinch with the digital payment iPad situation. There is parking around this time but I could see it being way more hectic in the evenings or on weekends. Since I was a kid, I didnt consider myself an ice cream lover and I don't eat a lot of it because I'm so picky about the flavor and texture of ice cream. However, I do have a favorite flavor -Rocky Road and when I find a place that sells and/or makes what I consider "THE BEST" I have to share. My favorite place to get ice cream was a shop near our house in Fayetteville, Arkansas but now, there's a new ice cream shop in town and it's name is Sarah Jean's. This ice cream has great flavor and texture -it's not too chocolatey, is the perfect temperature (cold enough to melt slowly in hot weather and not so cold that you can't sink your teeth into it), it's full of marshmallows and walnuts ( you get some of both in every bite) and it really leaves you wanting more even if you just downed two scoops-and they don't skimp on the scoops! They offer so many other flavors, both traditional and "different" - salted caramel, blueberry cheesecake, rum raisin, and cake batter to name a few. They also offer about 6 flavors of gelato. Prices are very reasonable and worth every penny because this ice cream is really good. You can get cones, sundaes, shakes and malts -whatever the ice cream craving uncertain you'll be able to satisfy it here. There is a good amount of seating indoors and some out front. Staff if young and friendly and there is always someone to assist you. They need a frequent customer card now so that I can start collecting stamps for a FREE SCOOP (hint hint) It's a great ice cream alternative for anyone who likes or loves ice cream. This shop is super adorable and found in Marietta Square. It has a really fun "hipster-esque" feel to it. There's a little train that runs around the top of the store. The menu is hand written. They have fun chalk art outside their store. And they have all the classic flavors of ice cream anyone could want! They also have a small selection of gelato and Italian ice flavors. They can create slushees, shakes, and coffee drinks. I had a basic sugar cone with a scoop of salted Carmel. I tried a sip of a slushee too. This place gets high points for ambience. But the ice cream itself isn't spectacular. If you don't like gourmet or any fancy things and just want your basic flavors on a basic cone -- this is the place for you! I prefer some adventurous flavors and lots of topping choices. Had to also dock a few points off because they had no public restroom. You know kids are their primary demographic. Nothing worse than having to haul multiple kids out of the store before they can finish their ice cream cuz one of them is going to pee their pants. This place wasn't quite my cup of tea. But it's a WONDERFUL option if you're feeling hot and need to cool down. read more

First off, Sarah Jean's Ice Cream is the BEST ice cream I've EVER had!!! If my review was off that alone, it would be 5 stars, no questions asked.... However, we normally get to the Marietta Square on Saturdays during the Farmer's Market. The normal owner does not open the store that morning, a young lady with long brown hair does. Frankly, her awful attitude towards customers is enough for us to not go each week. She is rude and acts like she really doesn't want to be there on a Saturday morning or be bothered by customers. So, we only come in on the off chance we are there during the week. It's a shame since the ice cream is amazing!! I recommend the lemon custard, black raspberry, and pumpkin pie (seasonal) if you ever get a chance to go there! read more

We visited this shop on Saturday after dinner and it was a great treat. You have the choice of maybe 20 different flavors and can pair it with a cone or cup with extra toppings. I ordered the Strawberry Cheese Cake with rainbow sprinkles. The ice cream was really good but the sprinkles were the small round ones and they aren't that good in my opinion - never thought there would be a day that I had a preference in sprinkles. This is a terrific little ice cream shop! We went in here with friends after dinner (up the block at The Butcher The Baker) and had really, really, really good ice cream. Everybody got somethings different - a shake here, a cone there, simple flavors and varieties with a bunch of stuff in it, and we were each quite happy with our choice. There was limited sharing. It's right on Marietta Square so you can people watch from the limited seating indoors, which is what we did. They have a few tables out front, too. My kid loved the choo choo train that goes around the shop. He's a big fan of Thomas the Train. I shared a banana split with him using a scoutmob app which saved me 50%. Normally $6, it only cost me $3 on this occasion. And for that price, it was a steal of a deal. You get to choose three flavors. We got the strawberry, black cherry, and butter pecan. They all tasted great. The black cherry had chunks of cherry in it which I loved. Seeing the Yelp star rating, I had to stop by, even after downing almost 2 cupcakes about half an hour before. For Yelpers' benefit and my own gastronomic curiosity, I thought I would push the limit of self-induced diabetes a tad further yet again. I got a single scoop of pistachio ice cream in a waffle cone. It was good, standard ice cream, in a crispy waffle cone (that may be considered small by frequenters of Cold Stone and other chain gourmet ice cream shops, but is actually a nice size for the average appetite and for the person who is making some effort to avoid joining the ever-increasing ranks of overweight and obese persons in this country). I got pretty good service when I stopped in and the price is great for homemade ice cream. However, I did not completely fall head over heels. I'd stop by again, if I were in the area and had a strong hankering for this cool and creamy confection, but I would not go out of my way for it here. All in all, though, a nice part of the Marietta Square family. Parents, your kiddos will love the train that choo-choos about on the "floating" track. Visited: 12/19/2015 Sporadically visited this place while exploring Marietta Square and have fallen in love! PISTACHIO ICE CREAM!! The best so far in GA!! Thank you so much for making this flavor amazing!
