Great ice cream,so very tasty and as it gets warmer & softens - the taste just comes out! we ordered salted caramel and a pecan ice cream in a waffle bowl and it was delicious. They have these cute imprinted napkins to go along with the ice cream. I would definitely recommend this place to try out if you're in the farmers market area

Must stop if you have never tried Jennie's. The secret is a higher fat content that creates this rich full buttercream type feel in your mouth. Jenni's also has plenty of standard and seasonal flavors that will delight your tastebuds. They give half scoops so you are able to try more flavors. Don't be shy. They also give you any samples you want!

*For people with nut allergies* The service was fantastic! We told them that three of our kids had nut allergies. They use clean/washed set of serving utensils, wash the counter, open a new tub of ice cream, and scoop it in front of you. We were impressed with their efforts and it gave us peace of mind. The ice cream flavors ( I cant remember them all) tasted good and were of good quality! The location is next to the State Museum so you can go there right after your tour of the museum! Don't miss this one!

One scoop Ooey gooey butter and one scoop lemon bar, piece of waffle cone attached. Delicious, and great thickness. Prices reasonable, speedy check out and friendly staff.

My son and daughter have been eager for me to try Jeni's. Despite their raving about all the great flavors, I haven't been in the mood for ice cream since it's been about 40 degrees in Nashville. But because my daughter was looking for relief from all the spicy heat from her lunch, I finally gave in. We decided to share 3 half scoops in a waffle bowl -- 2 Butter Cake (her favorite) + 1 Salty Caramel (my choice). SO, SO GOOD!! Perfectly sweet and creamy. The bits of actual cake in the Butter Cake were a nice surprise. The Salty Caramel was the best I've had. I may need to try other flavors before I leave Nashville. :)

A must stop while you're in Nashville! This ice cream shop is located at the eateries next to the farmer's market, at the far back wall. The employees were energetic and friendly, offered to let you try as many flavors while giving a basic run down of each flavor. I got the brown butter almond brittle and gooey butter cake ice cream in a waffle cone, and it was DELICIOUS!! My mouth is salivating just thinking about it! Definitely one of the highlights of our trip! (:

The ice cream here is just ok... I read so many reviews saying that this is a must go in Nashville. I felt that the flavors tasted artificial... The one thing I could not get over was that a staff was dusting the ceiling where the ice cream is being scooped, while another staff was was scooping ice cream. I could see all the dust flying around and dropping to the floor. This made us almost leave and not want to order from this location.

Jeni's Splendid Ice Cream was the perfect treat, it's creamy and the flavors are out of the ordinary. Went with the wildberry lavender and lemon bar all I can say is I was not disappointed. The flavors were amazing, lavender was not lacking in flavor and lemon bar was bursting with lemon flavor. Lov d the texture and flavors are hard to choose because they have lot of great flavors.

I love ice cream! I appreciate what Jeni's brings to the ice cream spectrum. They have really peculiar flavors and some traditional flavors. I like that at Jeni's you'll find ice cream inspired by history, pop culture, and beyond--that simply don't exist anywhere else. I had the darkest chocolate + gooey butter cake I.e the darkest Butter cake lol. Ice cream was great and the flavor of the darkest Chocolate paired well with the gooey butter cake. The only downside about this ice cream is that it has a slight brittleness as the delicious treat melts away. I'm a sucker for weird flavors exposed in the name of creativity I'll be back. Ps, don't sleep on the waffle cones

Having heard the story of this company and the founder on the "How I Built This" podcast I was very interested in trying their product. So I was pleasantly surprised when I saw they had a stand in the Farmer's Market. Seems like it would be better here than from a pint in the grocery store... maybe not. The line was pretty short despite the food hall being pretty crowded. We got the two half scoops in a dish - brown butter brittle and another flavor that I cannot remember. But I do remember that they were both very good though not cheap... Served with a small chunk of a waffle cone. It was hard to choose given all of the great sounding flavors. Tasty but at that price it will not be a habit.

Flavors are fun and they recycle their sampling spoons! That's the best part of this place...that they are environmentally conscious. Thank you Jeni's!! You are the best. Tyrone floaters are fun like everything bagel, sweet cream biscuits with peach jam, very milky chocolate, etc. It's nice to eat here next to the farmers market w all types of fun foods to eat before or after ice cream at Jeni's.

A friend recommended that I come here during my trip to Nashville and since it was 95 degrees outside and I was already going to be in the area, it seemed like a good idea. This place is located inside the Nashville farmers market. There are lots of food options and after that you can get your hands on some ice cream! Like many other places you can sample their flavors before ordering. I was recommended the brambleberry so I ended up ordering that and the strawberry buttermilk on a waffle cone. You can get either a single scoop of one flavor or two half scoops but are both the same price ($5). I really liked both the flavors and the buttercrisp waffle cone was really thin and crispy. I thought it was really nice and this was just so good for a hot day. I definitely recommend!

I got the Cookie Monster ice cream, which had cookie dough and Oreo flavors, and I think there was also a cake batter flavor mixed in. The staff was super nice and patient while I tried to decide because there were so many options. Definitely a fun cute dessert spot, and I'll be back to try more combinations!

After about a 5 minute wait, it was our turn to pick out our item. I went with the Nutella Chocolate Chunk and Cookies and Cream Cookies for the outside, and Mud Pie ice cream. I had it all toasted and they used a panini press looking thing that made it perfect! The cookies were the best part and it was a lot, easily sharable if you can find someone who likes the same combo. The staff was friendly, bathrooms clean, and would have been nice to have a self service water station.

Their ice creams are creamy and naturally flavored. I have tried the Brambleberry Crunch, which is one of my favorites. Their Darkest Chocolate ice cream is also delicious and decadent. But the Hibiscus Chili was the most underrated flavor. I think it deserves a lot more hype. The ice cream shop at this location can get very busy, but the service is extremely quick. The team at Jeni's is always patient with me, even when I am confused with all their range of flavors. I particularly love how the shop smells of baked waffle cones.

It's long, it's inevitable, and trying to fight it is a rookie mistake. Because when ice cream is this profoundly good, crowds happen. Step two: Don't panic. The crew behind the counter operates with the high-speed efficiency of a pit crew, yet somehow maintains the absolute patience of saints while you undergo an existential crisis deciding on flavors. My personal blueprint for success was all about contrast. I engineered a double-scoop masterpiece: a heavy, deeply decadent, unapologetic chocolate base, perfectly countered by a lighter, delicate second scoop to balance the universe. It was an elite flavor pivot. Delicious doesn't even cover it. Meanwhile, my wife absolutely devoured her fruit-forward flavors with a speed that felt slightly competitive. Total sensory overload in the best way possible. I'm giving this place a flawless five stars, mostly because I have to, but also because I am currently stalking the freezer aisle of my local Publix like a person possessed, trying to hunt down pints to replicate this high until I can get back to Nashville. Do your tastebuds a favor. Just get in line.

Unfortunately, there was a noticeable rancid oil smell inside the shop, which detracted from the experience. There is plenty of indoor seating, but the space lacks much ambiance or character. On a nice day, the outdoor area is definitely the better option. One downside is parking. Much of the street parking in 12 South has recently been changed to permit-only, which is a huge bummer. There are a few spots directly in front of the shop, but your best bet is probably parking near Sevier Park and walking over. I thought the ice cream was good, I really loved the pickle dip for the fries on the side, and I got just the plain salted fries which were also good. However, as a place that does just fries and ice cream I expected the fries to be more than just good. Maybe getting a flavor would have improved them but I think the basic fry should stand out on its own. We had arrived shortly after opening the the grease from the fryer kinda filled the space as well, which wasn't the most appetizing smell but it's hard with a mostly open kitchen. The employees were really kind and the food came out quickly! I enjoyed my experience overall, but I think I had bigger expectations for the fries in my head than in reality.
