Let me just begin this review by saying LA color is simply amazing!…read more We started working with Taky 3-month before our wedding, b/c we wanted to create a cute little clip to tell our love story at our wedding. Some of our guests are our parents' friends, so they don't necessarily know me and my husband that well. I showed Taky an only clip I liked and had a few ideas myself, but had no idea how to execute them at all. Taky was so patient listening to my ideas and brainstorming with us. My husband and I obviously are not professional actors, so I was worried that the clip would come out to be super awkward. However, Taky's easygoing personality and sense of humor made the filming process very fun and easy. We were laughing the whole time while we filmed, and were even able to incorporate our dog in our video which really meant a lot to us! The final product definitely exceeded my expectation and it was a huge hit at our wedding! On our wedding day, the whole team (3 photographers and 2 videographers) showed up earlier than their appointment time to capture our makeup session and wedding prep. That was such a nice gesture and I was not expecting it at all. Taky and Sam, having been through countless weddings before, have their unique eyes and ways in capturing the spirit of the wedding. They simply get it and show sincere appreciation of the amount of work the bride puts into the wedding, so they captured an incredible amount of details that otherwise would have been missed. My wedding was a Chinese/American fusion wedding and I love every single moment they captured for me during the tea ceremony. Not to mention the same day edit was the highlight of the wedding without a doubt. Like most brides, I was very conscious about our budget, but let me just say every single dollar we pay for the service provided by LA color is well worth its value and much more. He did an amazing job editing and putting everything together. For the price I paid, this is totally worth it. He didn't waste a single part of the dvd, he asked for slideshows, engagement pictures, etc. I just love how I can take out the dvd and watch it and it has everything! My favorite feature about the dvd is the highlight (great editing), the photo session (this was amazing, i love how he worked with Sam - the photographer of LA Color and came up with this session, it is just so cool. i can't explain it in words you have to watch a sample from them!), dedications (i love how he asked my closes friends and families to say a few good things to us, the married couple, it was definitely a nice touch), and the bloopers (it is really funny!). Taky and his team were on time and were there with me for the whole duration that our contract was signed for. I highly recommend Taky for videographer - he's quick thinking, easy going, friendly, funny, efficient and talented., AND most of all VERY responsive! definitely a HUGE plus when you're wedding planning! From the beginning to end she was easy to work with and gave me no doubt in my mind that I hired the correct person for the job. She greeted us with a big smile and introduced her self, very professional, kind, nice, and patient (as we were dealing with teenagers). She is bilingual and made my father feel comfortable. She is creative with different poses and made sure she got the correct angles and lighting as we were hitting sunset. We were on a very busy location on a Saturday evening and yet she made sure she captured little to none additional individuals in the shot. She provided a good amount of images and in addition had the option to enhance images. All images were clear and on spot, we had a difficult time select photos to enhance due to the great quality of work originally provided. Captured every moment and made my experience so much better and fun. Not to mention the photo's were available the next day and the editing took less than a day as promised. In less than 24hr we had our final product. I strongly recommend her and if I could rate her work higher than 5 stars, I would do it in a heart beat. We told them that photography was our second priority for the whole wedding (behind venue). We wanted our photos to capture the moments our memories would fade. We wanted them to capture the guests' emotions, the secret moments we shared between all the craziness of our wedding, and we wanted our photos to capture our personalities so that it didn't feel staged, but felt authentic to our relationship. And they delivered. We are so, so happy with our wedding and engagement photos on the beach! Hilary was super helpful on the day - she helped me (Bride) put earrings in because my nails were too long. She helped the boys place their ties in the right spot. She held my dress while we walked so it didn't get all dirty. She was able to predict little needs we all had before we even knew we needed them. Hilary is amazing. Jason is such a magnificent photographer. He loves to capture the world happening around a couple - the trees, the water, the mountains. If you want to feel like you're a lucky human dropped in the middle of a stunning landscape painting, he is your photographer. Also, we got all of our photos so promptly. They were edited beautifully. Jason doesn't over edit and make it feel ridiculous. He left the little realities of me and my husband that make us... Us. And I love that. We would strongly recommend not hiring Jason Berry Photography. We hired this vendor for our…read morewedding, and we had a negative experience both in terms of the photography product we received and also in terms of the vendor's unprofessional conduct towards us as clients. We were initially most excited for Jason Berry amongst all our vendors, but there were a number of issues, incidents and disappointments. In terms of product, we were displeased with our gallery. His skill is obvious and other albums gorgeous, so we were frustrated and upset to see less than five bridal portrait shots, and all taken in a messy area, in addition to other missing or poor photos. He circulated a survey to us before the wedding, and we identified exactly the kinds of photos we wanted, among other preferences. We selected the "Wedding Collection 3" package for $3200, with 8 hours with two photographers, and we requested the advertised 10% off from the Wedding Wire discount. Part of the package included a "Wedding day timeline and engagement session consultation," yet the photographer was unresponsive and only available to consult while we were driving to Rehearsal Dinner two days beforehand. We exchanged an engagement shoot typically required in the package, and included one extra hour the day-of where we hoped would accommodate for more time to take portrait shots, especially since we explicitly planned the reception to be a five-minute drive from the church. But many photos were un-usable in terms of blinking, looking away, etc. At the reception, he promised us sneak peaks in the next few days. We were excited. We reached out to him a few days after the wedding, but he told us he was unavailable to provide us with sneak peaks that week due to personal commitments. He made us feel like a nag, yet it's the vendor's responsibility to communicate a change in expectation. We later checked instagram and noticed he'd posted photos of us but didn't share or tag us (even though we shared this info in the survey). This leads into our experience with his professional conduct and customer service, which was upsetting and insulting. Out of excitement, we agreed in advance to purchase an album for $850, but based on the issues above, we requested a refund over a phone call. We simply did not have enough of a variety of usable photos in the gallery to provide a selection to him to create an album. (He also initiated but never followed up on scheduling a meeting where we could go through the photos together when he initially shared the album with us.) Jason refused, and he complained it was due to my wife's church's "shitty lighting." Again, the premises were large, he had time to check out the lighting beforehand and come up with the game plan. We suggested beforehand to take portraits at the reception venue, which he said wouldn't be necessary. So, he offered to have us choose "a few frames and canvases" instead of the album. Yet when we did from his website, earnestly spending a great deal of time picking out an equal value of frames and canvases, he chastised us for choosing too many. He provided no guidelines, so we assumed we could choose a selection equal to the price of the album (850). He became very aggressive and confrontational and still chose not to provide us with any direction (e.g. product dimensions) besides sending over 2 file names. We would urge prospective clients to avoid Jason Berry Photography. We did not receive the services paid for or expected, nor were we treated with respect. A photographer could preserve life's most precious occasions. Regrettably, our experience made this occasion more stressful, painful and very frustrating. While it's difficult to write a poor review of a wedding vendor, we feel obligated to share our experience.

I was referred to Jamie who was willing to make the trip up to a KOA in the middle of no where in Sonoma County. Jamie spent the entire day with us, ensuring to capture the moments we would want to remember for a life time. She spent the morning with me and my "bridesmaids" who were my mom, mother in law, sister in law and best friend. I will never forget how fun and comfortable Jamie made us feel, taking beautiful shots of the girls getting dolled up, but also intimate and silly moments and beautiful still shots of important pieces such as my mom and my dresses for day of. After prep time, Jamie came down to the main event and reception, and I don't think she stopped one minute to sit and rest or even to eat. She captured every moment!
