This is without a doubt the best place in town to get coffee and have a quick bite to eat. The pastries that are to die for.

I came here while working in Boulder Creek for the day. I had never heard of Jenna Sue's. Adorable place. Atmosphere made me order more than the coffee I was going to due to the beautiful assortment of high end pastries. No Wifi but I don't think she wants people sitting in there for 3 hours at a time. Everyone needs a turn to eat ! So happy to see a small local coffee shop serving the neighborhood and doing well. And my mocha was delicious:) read more

Great little cafe in the heart of downtown Boulder Creek (note the yelp address takes you to the wrong location). I had a toasted everything bagel with cream cheese lox and capers, only thing I'd change is put the capers under the lox so they don't roll off when you eat it. Got some gluten free pastries to go for my neighbors and they were terrific. read more

The BEST coffee in the San Lorenzo Valley hands down! It's actually sad that so few places can prepare coffee 'right', so many coffee shops serve burnt tasting, weak coffee...but, Jenna Sue's coffee is always perfect! I totally drive out of my way to get coffee here. This is a small location so there isn't many seats available (a couple bar seats and a couple tables) so it can be difficult to feel completely at ease if your not into tight intimate spaces. You can guarantee that there is always a great selection of pastries, quiche, and bagels (jalapeño cheddar being my top pick), as well as your classic breakfast items like biscuits and gravy. The coffee was good. The Lox bagel was expensive and terrible. The bagel itself left much to be desired and the salmon seemed old and off. They use fake egg patties like McDonald's does in their breakfast burrito that my significant other ordered. She couldn't eat her food either. 2 stars only for the coffee. This place has delicious pastries and espresso drinks! I love the nutella mocha or white mocha with fresh whipped cream and chocolate sprinkles on top :) It makes me so happy. They also have yummy pies! I especially love the pumpkin pie they make before Thanksgiving. The chicken tortilla soup, bagels, muffins, bear claws are all delicious. This place is great for a quick breakfast or lunch! The service is very friendly and I always seem to meet nice people there. read more

Can I suggest you visit Verve on a field trip and do some research .. ? Not that they are the final word but the coffee tastes balanced and flavorful. Peet's downtown has rich and flavorful coffee too .. ever travelled overseas ? New Zealand or Australia ... ? their coffee culture makes us look positively neanderthal. The coffee is very good...I like that it's a small town place but they still offer "complicated" coffees and low fat/low sugar options. The desserts are ok...they could use a bit more sugar cause they are a little bland. It's a pain that they don't take credit cards...it's 2012, charge me an extra 75cents per item so I don't have to pay a $3.00 ATM fee down the street. My only real complaint is the girls that work the counter. They're rude, if not on the verge of mean. You make coffee....your job is neither stressful nor hard. I wish I could say better things, the food there tends to be decent, and it's in a pretty area. The coffee is pretty bad, but it's not as bad as the attitude from those behind the counter. We were in with our daughter the other day, and my wife noticed our daughters food was ready, and sitting on the counter. Our daughter was hungry, so she went up to get it, and the woman at the counter chastised her, rudely saying that she would call out her order when it was ALL ready, and that she would appreciate it if she didn't just grab stuff off the counter. Ok, so my wife sits down, and we wait, and wait, and wait. Finally she says our order is ready. The reason for the long wait? She had combined some other guests order in with ours, so we had to wait until all of it was done. When my wife only took our food, she was again chastised for not taking all of the order. When she calmly explained to the lady that this was not our food, she just glared at her, no apology, nothing. I get the impression that there are tons of local friends and family that stop by, as the few tables are always crowded, and a lot of these folks seem to have the right to wander behind the counter and grab whatever they want. I'm assume the regulars get treated well, but we haven't been in enough to break through that barrier. read more

Stopped in there this morning and ordered a cheese bagel wtiht creme cheese and a cup of decaf. 7.50. The decaf water was like colored water. We laughed about it . .it tasted like nothing. The bagel was delicious but the price was exhorbitant. read more

But while my husband proceeded to eat his late-arriving salad, one of the staff made a comment about having to be our Mom and bus our table. When you're eating and conversing -- which was the goal as my husband and we hadn't seen our son since he moved two months prior -- it is disruptive to have someone clear the table while indicating that we should have already done so. There was plenty of time after the meal for us to clear our plates. Son liked the bagel sandwich. My breakfast burrito was well made, but lacked flavor. The salad was good. This is the Goto place if you are in Boulder Creek or visiting the Big Basin area. Stopped by town after a morning hike in Big basin and decided to stop here since it looks like a nice little local place. Glad we did... big bowl of Tomatoe Bisque soup... so yummy which came with toasted sourbread lightly buttered.... and that nice BIG healthy salad... romaine lettuce, cucumber, cranberries, avocado, almonds, feta, onions, (can't remember the rest) with the Asian dressing .... YUM especially that Asian dressing.... Jenna Sue and her crew are nice, friendly girls. They all make us feel like we are one of them.... we sat at the counter and made friends with the local patrons as well... everyone seems to know Jenna Sue and she knows them and exactly what they want....I love this place!!!!! read more

I stopped by this place after a weekend camping in Big Basin. I liked it because it reminded me of a breakfast place in my hometown. The hot chocolate was good, especially with the fresh whipped cream on top. The inside smells like fresh bagels and the walls look like avocado spread. It's good when the interior reminds me of food. The only complaints are that they don't take credit card and I don't think they have a bathroom. It's a small shop with limited seating. We paid $18 for a breakfast sandwich, two drinks, avocado toast and a side of sausage. Everything tasted fresh. read more

I was really surprised by Jenna Sue's, it's a great spot to have coffee or grab lunch. The pastries are really good, I love the coffee cake. Sandwiches are good too, as is the coffee. The atmosphere is the real selling point. I usually go in around noon, it's very relaxed, and the women working are always very friendly. I would definitely recommend giving it a try if you are anywhere in the area. read more
