Thankfully, the experience couldn't have been more of a relief. We brought both dogs in before heading to the airport and they immediately took to the staff. The staff assured us they'd be just fine and quickly took care of all administrative items and catalogued their items. Off to the airport we went, still a little worried. We had barely made it through security before we saw a post on Pup Hub's Facebook page welcoming Artie and Gwen with pictures of them playing in the yard. This took a huge weight off our shoulders. Over the next 4 days, Pup Hub posted adorable pictures of them at least three times a day to let us know they were doing well. When we got back, I don't know if the dogs were even ready to go! They seemed to both have a great time and the team there said they did well. They ate their food, enjoyed their treats and played with their toys, which is a great sign they were comfortable. While I respect professional experience, the way this was presented felt dismissive of my own long experience as a pet owner. For example, she strongly criticized the heartworm prevention product I have used responsibly for over 20 years with multiple dogs and suggested that products she prepares herself are preferable. From my perspective, the conversation felt somewhat condescending. When I scheduled boarding for our pets (three dogs and one cat), I also scheduled grooming for my cocker spaniel. At the time of booking, I explained that she had been digging in the yard after a large storm and would likely need extra grooming attention. She had been professionally groomed approximately 6-8 weeks earlier at PetSmart in Weatherford. I also shared that due to several difficult personal circumstances--including the recent passing of my father on February 28, my own cancer diagnosis and treatment, and my husband's cancer diagnosis and treatment--we had not been able to bathe her before bringing her in. I shared this simply to provide context. While we were out of town, Melissa contacted me stating that my dogs were "covered in ticks." This surprised me because our dogs have lived in multiple rural homes over the years, have been groomed regularly their entire lives, and have never had ticks. We currently live in a gated community where our home receives regular pest control, and our dogs sleep in our garage where we have not observed insects. When I asked for photos, the images that were sent appeared to show ticks in a container rather than clearly on the dogs themselves. During that call, I was informed that we would be responsible for paying to have the facility sprayed due to the ticks she believed came from our dogs. Because we were already traveling, we agreed to additional treatments for the dogs, including baths and chemical dips, and I was later told they had been dipped twice. Another concern for us involved billing transparency. We purchased pet food at the time we dropped our pets off and paid for it then, but we were charged again for the same food when we picked them up. Our final bill was approximately $2,000, and we were not provided with an itemized invoice explaining the charges. Without an itemized statement, it was difficult for us to understand how the total was calculated. Despite boarding multiple pets, there was no multi-pet discount offered. For comparison, the pet sitter who normally stays at our home--who unfortunately was unavailable during this trip--charges $80 per day to care for all of our pets combined. After this experience, I read through other reviews and noticed that responses from the business often attribute concerns to customer misunderstanding rather than acknowledging possible issues. During our own interactions, communication felt difficult at times, as conversations were often interrupted and it was challenging to fully explain concerns. Overall, based on my personal experience, this situation raised questions for me about communication practices, treatment authorization, and billing documentation. Anyone considering boarding services may want to ask detailed questions about these policies ahead of time. The photos we received that were described as evidence of ticks are included. Upon dropping him off, the receptionist informed me that he was in an inhumane situation, which was not the case because he had recently visited the veterinarian and received medication to be groomed. Upon returning home, my dog exhibited excessive crying and remained in a state of distress. I contacted the establishment to inquire about the reason for his distress, and the individual who answered the phone informed me that she was aware of the situation, specifically the issue with his genitals. I was informed that he had matted fur under his genitals and had undergone a haircut, but I was never informed of this information when I picked him up. Subsequently, I was told that my dog's grooming neglect was my fault, and he was in an inhumane condition. This situation has already necessitated the administration of medication to my dog due to anxiety stemming from a previous negative grooming experience. Now, I am faced with the need to find an alternative groomer. Furthermore, the establishment has charged me $92, and I provided a $10 tip, which they did not deserve. The unprofessional conduct of this establishment has prompted me to consider seeking legal counsel regarding this matter. I also read a review about two months ago where a customer said her dog had been scraped raw in several places. So I know it's not because my dog was quote, unquote inhumane condition, they just had to find a reason why my dog was cut and the reason is because they are unprofessional and don't know what they are doing.

We have a male lab that is very hyper and attention needing, male german shepard husky mix that is gentle but needs guidance, then a mixed lab husky female that is very passive aggresive. Alice has helped to get all of them to come when told, sit, lay and the best thing in the world OFF. She taught us as well the correct way to continue to work them now that our regular sessions are over. We did 4 sessions in a month with her and it has been the best thing for all of us.
