I'm not too interested in chitchat when I have my nails done but I certainly don't have tolerance for a service provider who is pre-occupied with their other clients or phonecalls or visitors or texting. I've been here three times. First two experiences were great. Yesterday...not so much. I walked in, like I always do and they just stared at me like I was crazy for walking in, and clearly didn't remember me either. After about 5 min of them doing their little language talk thing, and not listening to my questions IS IT A PROBLEM THAT IM HERE, they finally sat me down and said they didn't have time to do my fill and pedicure at the same time due to reservations. Instead, Jenny did my fill during my pedi and RUSHED thru it. They look terrible but I needed them done for an event so I gave a crappy tip and left bc of the terrible customer service, rude looks, and wouldn't even speak to me! The other two girls there were all smiles and thanked me for my business. Jenny sucks. Bottom line. I'll never go back simply because of her terrible attitude and making me feel so uncomfortable the entire time I was there. Unfortunate bc I thought I found my new place to always go to for my nails. I'd rather drive to another city than be treated with blank stares, and filthy comments about reservations reservations reservations!! read more

I've to this nail salon a few times. It's convenient for me because it's nearby my apt. Staff is friendly, nail polish selection is just okay. Had a pedicure and it was $22.00. Price is a bit higher than normal for me, but again the place is convenient for me to go to. read more

Jenny and her sister, Helen, are wonderful. They are both so friendly every time I go in to get my nails done. I had terrible in grown toe nails and my mother in law kept telling me to see Jenny but I did not want anyone to touch my nails. I FINALLY went in and I can't believe I didn't go in sooner!! It took about 3-4 visits but Jenny completely fixed my in grown nails!! They now grow straight and look so healthy. It was painful at first but now I experience no pain. I thought the only option was to get surgery but no...she healed them!!! I would recommend this place to anyone. read more

Jenny did my nails. I was visiting from the East Coast & went with some friends & left pretty dissatisfied Jenny asked what I wanted & I told her. She did not speak to me at all for the rest of the time & kept looking at the people coming in the door. They were not busy but a few people came in while she was putting on my acrylics. I did ask a few questions to be friendly but her replies were short & curt with her head never rising from her work. She was very rough with my hands as she flipped them around to get the right angles for applying the tips & acrylic. She dremmeled through my nail enough to leave pink marks where the nail is just thin enough and I left with a cut on my finger. Typically I expect some sort of lotion applied afterwards & there was none. It was my first visit & may not be the standard in this salon. However, as part of the manicure I expected my cuticles treated. This was not done either After she finished, I noticed a few nails weren't straight & I had acrylic on my skin (below and around my nails). I paid $40 for this & promptly asked the clerk for a nail file. I don't plan on going back. Not because I don't live anywhere close to nearby CA but because I found the experience to be far from relaxing, my nail technician was not engaging & I left dissatisfied with my manicure. read more

One of my favorite secret spots for a relaxing and affordable slice of heaven. Jenny is the owner and very professional and personable. I just love Helen with her bubbly and sweet demeaner. She's always smiling and has an uncanny memory of all her clients and their stories. Her skills in Shellac nails are on point. My favorite for an amazing pedi is Lucy. She has great hands. I had a pedi including a salt scrub, a mask and a massage that went on and on for only $30! She even rubbed my shoulders and back as I was getting out of the chair to leave. Just so sweet! I've learned my lesson of casually going in without calling first as apparently others have found my secret getaway. So now I give them a ring first and it has been easy to get in. read more

They took my call and saw me on a whim Fourth of July weekend and boy I'm glad they did! The pedicure and basic $12.00 manicure were immaculate. The place is very clean, great selections of colors, and they kept the front door open so it was nice to not suffocate in chemical smell. I have been to Jenny's nail salon about five times now and each time I had a great experience! My favorite technician is Helen because she is so gentle and sweet. All the girls are very nice, and Cindy is an amazing pedicurist and foot massager. They are polite, and speak in English as much as possible. sometimes they speak in their native language but very seldom. I went to get my nails and toenails done for my honeymoon, and because it was on the beach, I was concerned the nail polish would rub off. So I got the gel nail polish and my toenails still look amazing and its been over two weeks walking through sand and wearing flip-flops. I recommend them to anyone. Helen did a cute design with black rhinestones and pink nail polish, I got compliments from strangers on it! I have found my nail salon. read more

This place was wonderful. I had a spa pedicure for 35.00 and it lasted for over an hour. Cindy did not speak English, so I just relaxed in the massage chair and relaxed. Why would I expect someone who doesn't speak the language to try and chat with me? Every last callous was scrubbed off, and they don't use a timer for the calf/foot massage. She was very good at what she does. They do not take credit cards, so bring cash. There were only 3 people working on a Friday, so an appointment would be recommended, but I was a walk-in and they were very friendly to me. I will be back! read more

The only saving factor was that they fit me and my friend in within 5 minutes. The lady who did my manicure did a horrible job. I have done this bad job before on myself. My nails chipped literally less than 24 hours afterwards. It was a bad coat job and my cuticles were painted as well. I asked for square shape with rounded edges and they were uneven and rough. She didn't even clean under my nails, I still had sand underneath! I paid for manicure I could have done myself. read more

In regards to a few Yelp reviews that I've read about Jenny's Nail Salon I feel obligated to intervene. I have been coming to Helen for 8 plus years and LOVE my nails every single time! They are the cleanest nail salon I've ever been to and the sweetest ladies work there, especially Helen. She takes her time and makes sure her services are nothing but PERFECT EVERY SINGLE TIME. It's always busy(which speaks to how wonderful this place is). My entire family goes to this nail salon and all of my friends consistently. They have become family. This review is not about the person who gave me the pedicure, she was good. And the last time I went in, I had Helen and she was super nice. The third lady that works there, not sure if she runs the place or who she is, but she is terrible. She is rude, mean, and very unprofessional. I have bent over backwards the last two times now to go get cash for them because of a malfunction in their credit card system and this time she couldn't be bothered with ringing me up, so shooed me out to go to the bank. Normally I would bring cash to these places but seeing as it is 2013 and virtually the homeless window washers take credit cards, I didn't think it would be an issue. I don't feel welcome here, I feel like I'm the one who is the asshole when a client should never feel like this upon departure. I have worked in the hair business for over 9 years and I have never treated a client with such disrespect. I saw great reviews for this place so I decided to try it out with a friend. Bad decision. On top on making me wait with my feet in the spa thing for 30 minutes before anyone even talked to me, they stopped doing my friend's nails at the end to take care of a rude customer who came in and demanded they give her mani/pedi in 30 min. Top it off with it took 2.5 hours total for a mediocre mani/pedi that cost over $70 for the two of us without any add ons they got mad for us not accepting. So save your money and your time and go somewhere else. Unless you want to take the time to become a regular, they seem to at least be polite to them. At least it was clean. read more

Wow where do I begin? My daughter got a mani and pedi on a day out with grandma. She's 14 and takes great care of her nails, but in a matter of days her nails were chipping. Completely unacceptable for a gel manicure. My mother in law called and they agreed to redo them free of charge. However, my daughter was completely ignored even though we were on time for our appointment. They finally start her redo and Helen tells my daughter that her grandma (my mother in law) is a mean woman that probably doesn't have any friends! Talk about inappropriate! This is a great place to get your nails done. The ladies there are very friendly. There is no pressure to add on additional services. My friend and I went in to get pedicures and were pleasantly surprised with the treatment we received. The ladies who work there did not seemed rushed and gave us relaxing leg massages much longer than you typically receive elsewhere when getting a pedicure. The atmosphere is low key and clean. I never write reviews but my experience yesterday made me write one for the first time..I was in the neighborhood looking for a nail salon..I called them to make an appointment right before I go as I read that they do not welcome walk in customers as much... When I walked in there were only 3 ladies from the staff and one was already taking care of a customer.I sat down for a pedi.She ,I don't know the name of her asked me if I want the mani too,I said I was not sure as that is my first time and don't know if I will be happy with the pedi I am getting..She started talking to the other 2 ladies from the staff what started to make me feel like a fool..They were obviously talking about me which I hate to not understand a word... Short story long,I ended up getting both as she said she could do my mani as the other lady does my pedi...it literally took 10 mins for each service,they were both super quick and ignorant... The lady who was giving me a pedi trimmed the corner of my toe nail,like split it into half and left it as is even though I had told her not to cut the corner edge to avoid internal growth..She said she had to... I started feeling that I was not at the right place,I was not being treated nicely and I was gonna pay $32 for both...When they finished I took a look at my big toe nail,I saw that it was cut in half at the corner and had been left without filing it... When I said that is not what Liked her to do,she did not even understand me because she does not speak English... Lady who did my mani tried to reshape it....I was so disappointed... A friend recommended this place and I liked her nails (although she admitted they are pricey). I was next door so I thought I'd stop by to check it out and get a menu of services. My 4 y/o daughter had to use the restroom so I asked the owner if we could use it and she said "No. No public restroom," and looked like "don't bother me." I said "a friend recommended this place and I want to make an appointment. We can't use the restroom?" She said, "For customers only. No public restroom." I was shocked. I felt the need to repeat myself because I really couldn't believe it." I said, "So if I make an appointment now and come back to get my nails done you won't let us use the bathroom now?" She said with a scowl on her face, "You come back and your customer you can use bathroom." Ok, so business can have their policies - I may not like them or understand them but it is their prerogative. What I really took an issue with was 1)Her VERY RUDE attitude, and 2) the faulty logic of "no you can't use the restroom now, even if you make an appointment to get your nails done." At the expense of a customer! Really?! Bad business if you ask me. Needless to say I did NOT make an appointment and will make it a point to tell people of my very bad experience and tell them NOT to go there.. To top it off I think the RUDE lady was the OWNER. Sad.
