Must always eat at a shrimp truck while at the North Shore, and this time we found Jenny's! They're located on the edge of Haleiwa town. Ok I have to say I think Jenny's is better than Giovanni's. We ordered three different plates to try - butter garlic, lemon pepper, and spicy garlic... and all were delicious! Came out piping hot and fresh, and the shrimp was not overcooked!! My favorite of the three was the lemon pepper.
Jenny's butter garlic shrimp was so good! Plenty of shrimp and great flavor that mixed well with the garlic rice. Simple yet delicious. Would come again!
I only knew about Jenny's shrimp truck because it was recommended by a friend who visits O'ahu often. It is tucked away at the North end of the parking lot for The Bird's Nest Coffee. About a dozen tables were available for seating adjacent to the truck in a shaded area. I ordered the butter garlic shrimp. I had cash on hand so was able to avoid the 3% fee that would be applied if using a credit card. The dish was ready in about 10 minutes. Shrimp was super fresh and fully absorbed the butter garlic sauce. It was a bit messy, even with utensils, since the shell was still on the butterflied shrimp. There was a station with paper towels and a large container of hand sanitizer to aid in cleaning up. It also came with two scoops of rice, lettuce and a slice of pineapple. I'll likely return if in the area again.
Everyone says that food trucks are a must get when in North Shore, I was debating on the 3 most popular shrimp trucks and this was appealed to me the most. They have a little parking lot that you can park for free at. The worker was very nice and our order didn't take long to prepare. The shrimp is butterflied perfectly making it easier to peel, but we thought the shell was soft enough to eat as well (extra protein yum). The shrimp was so buttery and cooked perfectly. They have outdoor seating to the side of the truck, there was shade under the umbrellas and patio area. ig: @cravingswithcat

I don't know who Jenny is but she put her heart and soul into this plate I had right here. I got the Spicy Garlic Shrimp and it felt like I was levitating as I took each bite. The flavor was so rich and contained the perfect ratio of garlic and chili. The shrimp wasn't overcooked and the little pineapple was the perfect touch. I wish I could have this in front of me again. Can't recommend this place enough.
Certainly much more decent wait if compared to the long-standing popular neighbor #IYKYK. My pick went to Jenny's as people said it's as tasty and even better if you preferred less greasy version and a hint of spicy kick. The dining space was super simple, long benches right next to the food truck but that kind of simplicity was what telling you that the foods were good as people solely came for them! Indeed super fresh chunky shrimps with flavorful garlic sauce.
If you're looking for something with a slight kick, rich in flavor, and worth your money this is the place to go! Our food came out in 15 minutes and was piping hot, I don't think we could have gotten better service at all. There's a decent amount of seating and it's surrounded by various other shops so you can explore after your meal as well. The food was so good, rice was absorbed with the sauce and the shrimp were large and not overcooked. And it's very filling so the serving size is great.
Haven't eaten here in years. Same food truck but it got moved a little further down the street than the previous location. Got the spicy shrimp. Prices are higher than the last time I ate here and the amount of shrimp is less than other shrimp trucks for the same price. The flavor, however, was good and the spice was minimal.
First time here and I love this place so much better than Giovanni's. No line and you get your food real quick. My daughter wanted shrimp for her birthday and my friend recommended this place. My daughter was happy. The flavor of the shrimp was amazing. It comes with 2 scoops of rices some salad and the shrimp. I got the spicy shrimp and my daughter got the butter. Price was reasonable. If you haven't tried it, try it. You won't be disappointed.
All of these reviews are on point!! Better than Giovanni's 100%. We went with no wait whatsoever, got our shrimp and rice hot and fresh. Still expensive, but it was delicious and it came with a drink as well! The meal was amazing and we would definitely come back to have more shrimp. We ordered the garlic shrimp and the Spicy Garlic Shrimp both came out to $38 before Tip, but all the shrimp plates on island are pretty expensive. So Definitely recommend Jenny's instead of Giovanni's. Has a big seating area too. It is located right next to a coffee shop.
Heading to North Shore, and not wanting to go the other popular shrimp place because of the recent Yelp reviews. Plus it's was like, eh been there, lets give someone else a try! We came here during a busy Monday afternoon, and of course it was still slow traffic heading north. And with that came the dreaded search for parking! But luckily, we found a spot meant for Jenny's and the little shops around it. Just keep in mind it's short term parking in this little lot. All I wanted was a plate of Butter Garlic Shrimp ($17) and daaaayum was it buttery garlicy good son! The shrimps were pretty average in size, but steamed up and sauteed in butter just right. I think the plate had about 8 shrimps, but I still shared a few. I think the butter garlic on the rice was the kicker! Just an excellent tasting combo! Next to Jenny's is a little patio table area. It's pretty much where everyone chilled at, especially if you're there supporting the local shops within the block. I'll just end with, after having Jenny's, we were all comfortably satisfied.
While I had gotten some different for lunch, my friends each ordered a plate of shrimp from Jenny's Shrimp. I'm normally not the biggest fan of shrimp, so I don't usually gravitate towards it. But I wish I wasn't so stubborn because the few bites I had of both the Butter Garlic Shrimp and Spicy Garlic Shrimp completely changed my mind. Since I'm not the biggest spice person, I preferred the butter garlic option. The shrimps aren't peeled, but they're butterflied, which makes them much easier to peel. The shell itself is packed with flavor, though, so I recommend sucking it before removing. The rice was flavorful, and the salad on the side was refreshing. I simply regret not ordering a plate of shrimp for myself. I'm a lazy person and don't like peeling shrimp, but this was worth peeling for. read more

We originally planned to eat at Giovanni's Shrimp Truck, but the parking lot was completely full, so we ended up trying Jenny's Shrimp instead. My sister had also seen this place going viral on TikTok or Instagram, so we decided to give it a chance. Jenny's is a food truck with a very small parking lot and limited spaces, which was the main issue. Luckily, the service was pretty fast. The plates are around $18 each. I'm glad the staff recommended the garlic shrimp because she explained that the original might not have enough flavor for me. If you prefer something plain, get the original, but if you want more flavor, I recommend the garlic shrimp or spicy garlic shrimp. I only took off a star because the shrimp came with the shells on. I tend to peel the shrimp shells, so I would have preferred them peeled. Overall, the food was tasty, and I'm glad we ended up trying Jenny's! read more

Jenny's is so delicious, I got recommended by an amazing lady at north shore stables and I couldn't thank her more. The service was pretty good the lady who was taking my order had answered all my questions very politely even though there was a line. The area it was in was nice I had gotten a seat it wasn't too busy as I did come on a Tuesday. Overall if you had to pick from Giovanna's and Jenny's I would recommend Jennys! I wanna add I seen a few reviews saying things about the shrimp skin but you can ask for it pealed! read more
Spicy garlic shrimp plate was my favorite meal the whole trip. Just fire. Perfect balance and super flavorful. Definitely destroyed the plate. The wait wasn't long. Tons of flies and birds on the tables but who cares. It slaps. read more

I've experienced Giovanni's shrimp truck in the past and I didn't feel like waiting in a long line again, so we opted for garlic shrimp that was close by. This shop ended up next on our list. When we got there, there was no wait which was great! We ordered a shrimp tray to try and it didn't disappoint. The dish was under $20 and was good enough to share to taste but not if you wanted to fill up completely on it. There was another shrimp stop across the way, which we didn't try, but it seems like the competition is tough here. If you don't wanna wait in long lines but are craving garlic shrimp in the north shore, this is a good option! read more
Haven't tried a lot of shrimp trucks in Hawaii but this one was definitely one of the good ones worth going to. I only say that because the butter sauce on the rice along with the jumbo buttered shrimps were so good I cleaned the entire plate. Plus the wait for the food only took about 10 minutes Cash and card are both accepted but there's a processing fee with cards. The shrimp truck was not hard to find but parking was tougher since it's in a small shared lot. Picnic tables available for dining there but make sure to watch out for birds and bees ! read more
Our favorite shrimp truck in North Shore! For $17 per a plate, this place is worth coming back to. My husband and I shared their Butter Garlic Shrimp plate (don't worry we came back the same day and shared another plate hehe) and it was so good! The plate was packed with about 9 pieces of jumbo butter garlic shrimp, 2 scoops of rice (with garlic sauce on top), a side salad, and a piece of pineapple. The shrimp was sooo juicy and flavorful, packed with a good amount of butter and garlic. We were afraid that 1 plate wouldn't have enough pieces of shrimp for us to share but it was actual a good amount of food. We were satisfied, but we knew we didn't want to be extremely full because we were planning to eat other food that day. We will definitely be back again when in North Shore! read more
We headed to Jenny's straight off the plane from LA. It's a food truck with some outdoor seating at picnic tables. We ordered at the window, and our food was ready quickly. We got: - Coconut shrimp -- lightly breaded and really good coconut flavor - Spicy garlic shrimp -- it was spicy - Spicy shrimp -- too spicy for me, so the boys ate it and I ordered a new plate - Garlic butter shrimp -- so good! Everything was served piping hot and the plates include a salad and two scoops of rice. Only downside is Pepsi products. read more

Tried Jenny's Shrimp for the first time and WOW. I ordered the spicy garlic shrimp and I swear I could BATHE in that butter sauce. So freaking good. Perfect balance of garlicky, buttery, and spicy. Every bite was ridiculous! Even better, my food was ready in about 5 minutes after ordering, which was awesome because I was starving. It was $18 and honestly worth every penny. The parking lot is a little small and shared with other businesses in the area, and there's just a small dining section, so keep that in mind. But none of that matters once you taste the shrimp. Absolute must-try if you're in Haleiwa. I'll definitely be back. read more
An absolute MUST whenever I visit the North Shore! I'd give them 6 stars if I could, lol! I daydream about their spicy garlic shrimp plate back home here in CA, lol! I told this to the lady at the register last time, and she chuckled. "I hope we live up to the standard you remember", she replied. They sure did! The shrimp is super garlicky, and the sauce is amazingly delicious! It also has the right amount of spice! And all of that garlicky goodness gets soaked up in the rice! $17 for their butter garlic shrimp plate and it was pretty good! There are only a couple of parking spots in the lot. We got lucky and were able to park, but I have no idea where people park around the area! They also have benches/tables -- there are so many birds though, so watch your food. I love that the plate comes with a little salad and pineapple. It was a good amount of shrimp and their butter garlic sauce was GOOD. Super flavorful. We only got one plate to share because we wanted to try some other places, but I could have totally eaten a whole plate myself! read more
I have heard of Jenny's Shrimp Truck for a while now. I've ATTEMPTED to do extensive research which truck on Oahu has the best garlic shrimp. I've seen videos discussing how this spot is a must visit on the north shore side. So when my friend, who is leaving the island, asked me to plan an itinerary of eats on the north shore, I made sure that it was a stop that is included on the trip. Their parking is a bit weird, I honestly was unsure where we should be parking so we ended up parking across the street as we were getting surf and salsa anyways. They have a lot of seating, covered in a metal shack, outdoor obviously as it is a truck. We got the spicy shrimp. It was good, but nothing crazy. I don't know what exactly I was expecting but I think I've had better spicy garlic shrimp before. It is definitely not bad by any means but I think I've been spoiled by other places (check on Saigon Grill in town) and also had my expectations blown a bit out of proportion. I may update this review when I try some of the other shrimp trucks on the north shore as a better comparable. read more
So Good! Got our food pretty quickly. We ordered the spicy garlic shrimp plate. The flavor on the shrimp was amazing. It wasn't that spicy but just enough to give it another level of flavor. It paired perfectly with the rice. Parking is limited and they are pretty strict about it. They do have tables for you to sit down at. Definitely give this place a try if you're in Haleiwa and/or driving to the north shore. read more

Jenny's Shrimp Truck is located on Kamehameha Highway in Haleiwa. It's one of the many shrimp trucks in the North Shore area that compete with each other for all the people that come through. There are a few parking spots in the small lot right in front of the food truck and has covered seating. We ordered the spicy garlic shrimp ($17). The sauce was good and we liked that it was saucy. It was garlicky and had a hint of spice. The shrimp was not fried and I wished it was because I prefer that texture. The plate also included rice, salad, and a pineapple. I liked that the rice was also drenched in the same spicy garlic sauce that the shrimp had. They also have butter garlic, lemon pepper, and coconut shrimp options. read more
Jenny's Shrimp Truck was a fairly good experience overall. The shrimp were cooked perfectly and not overdone at all. Since this was my first time trying this type of food in Hawaii, I think my expectations were probably a little too high going in. While the shrimp itself had a great texture, the flavor wasn't as bold or flavorful as I expected. Honestly, the rice had more flavor because of the sauce that was poured on top, which ended up being my favorite part of the plate. It wasn't bad by any means, but I was hoping for a little more seasoning and flavor from the shrimp itself. One thing I did really like was that there was plenty of outdoor seating available, which made it nice to sit down and enjoy the food comfortably. read more
I'm convinced this is the best shrimp truck on the island. I've tried Giovanni's and was sadly disappointed, but Jenny's is A1. There is minimal parking in a shared lot, otherwise you can find parking elsewhere and get your steps in. You order and pick up at the truck and there are plenty of tables to the side. I shared the garlic shrimp plate and wow the flavor and juiciness of the shrimp was incredible. Also, their garlic topped rice was perfect. Definitely a spot you shrimp lovers need to try. read more

BETTER THAN GIOVANNIS! Everything tasted hot and fresh, definitely will be my new spot for sure. Came 15 minutes before they closed and they had my order ready in about 5 minutes everything tasted fresh and hot not all greasy too, all the plates come with shrimp+rice+salad and a slice pineapple. I told them I didn't want a slice pineapple and to substitute it with rice and man they didn't disappoint with the extra scoop rice and hot garlic on top of the rice man it tasted good I will be back guarantee Yessah read more

We stopped by Jenny's after hearing comparisons to Giovanni's so we had to give this place a shot (and expectations were elevated, for sure). We shared the spicy garlic shrimp and while it was fine, it didn't quite deliver for us. We were hoping for more garlic and more bold flavor but it came across as a bit muted. Parking was also a mess getting in which made us really want the food to wow us and unfortunately, it didn't. We did appreciate that they poured the sauce over the rice, which helped, but beyond that nothing really stood out (the ambiance of eating outdoors next to chickens was pretty neat but that was it). Overall, it satisfied the craving but it wasn't memorable, Glad we tried it but we probably wouldn't go out of our way to come back. read more

Stopped by Jenny's Shrimp Truck while exploring the North Shore and tried both the Garlic Shrimp and Spicy Garlic Shrimp plates. After having Giovanni's before, I honestly enjoyed Jenny's more. The shrimp were plump, fresh, and cooked just right. The Garlic Shrimp had a rich buttery garlic flavor that wasn't overly greasy, while the Spicy Garlic Shrimp added a nice kick without overpowering the taste of the shrimp. Both plates came with plenty of sauce that paired perfectly with the rice. Service was friendly and the food came out relatively quickly. The portions were generous and filling, making it a great stop for lunch. The seating area is pretty basic and can get crowded during busy times. That said, the shrimp were delicious, and I'd choose Jenny's over Giovanni's if I'm craving garlic shrimp on the North Shore again. read more

Their portion is perfect for one person! It was my first time trying it out, and the cashier Quinn was very friendly and nice. I think I was the first customer of the day, since I went right when it opened at 09:30. It's a very casual place. I ate the garlic butter shrimp, and it was DELICIOUS!! read more

Very delicious ! Food was great. Shares parking with the coffee place next door I believe. Has a large outdoor seating area although I took mine to go. Lady looked annoyed when I asked for a to go bag but they did look busy ( a tour bus was arriving with it looked like 30+ people). read more
