Topped off my North Shore visit this past Sunday with a stop at Haleiwa Seafood. The spicy poke was fresh and tasty, made sure to add hot sauce to make it even spicier. Ample seating, easy parking, nice staff. Food came out real quick.
Pretty reasonable prices considering it's in the middle of a tourist heavy area. That whole area is good to just wander around and explore and the menu had cheeseburgers which really helps with my picky ass sons that don't like to try adult food. Portions are decent but the flavor is what sets their food apart. They have 5 bench tables with shading so you might end up baking in the sun. We got lucky and people were leaving as we arrived and the pace was pretty even so nobody had to eat in the sun. They take a little while to make the order but they're working with limited space so it's understandable. Overall food is bomb and a great value
Was searching for some fish tacos on north shore and stumbled upon this food truck- 2 fish tacos were $10.95, which is very steep for tacos in my opinion. And unfortunately they fell short of my expectations. They did not taste very good, the taco itself was quite soggy and I didn't feel like the fish tasted fresh. There were other things on the menu we didn't try so maybe just don't get the tacos!
Fresh mahi, good breading, and inexpensive prices set up my fish and chips for success, but tartar sauce and ketchup packets were a big letdown. Surrounded by sitdown places and other food trucks, Haleiwa came recommended by my tour bus driver. I did get the sense that I was on island time when I ordered, but thankfully the food came quickly. The fresh mahi mahi (and salad) saved the dish. I was not about the Old-Bay-seasoned fries, and having my condiments come in packets was really disappointing. On the other hand, it was just $15.
Best food we found on our trip to Oahu! Tried almost everything on the menu. Grilled Mahi mahi, Coconut Mahi, Burgers, Tacos, and Calamari were so tasty. Lava Flow drink was absolutely delicious. On an overcrowded island full of dirty, crappy places, it's really, REALLY nice to find something like this!! Thanks!!!
YUM One of my favorite dinners we had during our vacation! Food truck with benches to sit outside. Food came out pretty quick and service was very easy. Food was so delicious I highly recommend!

We took ours to go due to the intermittent rain, but there are a few outdoor tables if you want to sit and eat there. The parking out front is for customers, so don't be afraid to park there. From a distance, the signs look like they are prohibiting you from parking there, but that's not the case once you get close enough to read them. :) Definitely give this place a try if you want fresh seafood while in town!
Looking for a quick stop to get ono seafood before your beach trip to Haleiwa? Look no more, go to Haleiwa Seafood. The food is so fresh and reasonably priced for the portion sizes you get. I ordered a Seafood Platter, subbed the Coconut Shrimp with Beer Batter Shrimp and an order of Shrimp Tacos. Hands down the best seafood we've had on island to date! From a small food truck on the side of the road, the flavor and freshness really surprised me! The service was average and straightforward. No funny stuff, straight to business. There are several food trucks in this same area along with a general store and a stall selling seashells and home decor. Whether you're taking to-go or sitting down for a while to stretch your legs, come try. It won't disappoint!
It was good and fresh. Not a lot of food for the price, but overall I was content with it. The truck is located behind several picnic tables and next to other food trucks. Good location, descent food and we did some shopping afterwards.
When in town you have to try their pulled pork! Amazing and can't wait to come back. The food truck is near little cute shops. Across from them is Patagonia. We got our food pretty fast as it wasn't as crowded. They also have a couple benches you can sit at.
Hands down one of the best seafood meals I've ever had! I ordered the combo with mahi and beer-battered crispy shrimp, and asked if they could substitute the fried fish for grilled instead. They were happy to accommodate, and the fish came out grilled to perfection--charred just right on the outside and juicy in the middle. The plate also came with their homemade chili and aioli sauce, which was absolutely amazing--creamy, tangy, and packed with flavor. Even the side salad of mixed greens was fresh and a nice balance to the seafood. I prefer more items on the salad like tomatoes, cucumber or shredded carrots. The service was just as good as the food. The front desk lady who took my order was communicative, attentive, and had such a great attitude. She even checked with the chef to make sure my substitution was possible. There are a few chairs and tables set up in front of the food truck where you can sit and enjoy your meal, which makes the whole experience even better. Highly recommend if you're in Oahu and would like to try some quality seafood!
Loved this place! The staff were super nice and got us our smoothie out first. They have plenty of picnic tables to sit at and the rest of the food came quickly and was delicious.

Been coming here every weekend for years and they never disappoint, never met anyone that didn't like the food. If you want your food instantly after you order go to McDonalds... food is made fresh to every order here and the wait is always worth it! It is a food truck after all not a full scale restaurant kitchen. AHI KATSU is the go to and it always kills, huge serving size as well! 5 stars is the max it lets me give for this place but it doesn't begin to express the memories and good experiences I've had here! read more
First time visiting Hawaii and we made the drive to the North Shore based on recommendations to try Haleiwa Seafood -- and it was absolutely worth it. We ordered the Ahi Poke Bowl and the Loco Moco, and both were incredibly satisfying and flavorful. Fresh ingredients, generous portions, and exactly the kind of local food experience we were hoping for. If you're heading to the North Shore, definitely make time to stop here. You won't regret it. read more
Back again! First I want to say, the food is delicious! We had the loco moco again. We also had a fried ahi katsu fish burger with taro bun and chili aioli. That was was spectacular. It was crunchy. The fries were pipping hot and very tasty. We also tried a plate with some nice poke and coconut shrimp. The food is good quality and hits the spot. The problem was the amount of time it took to make and deliver the food to the customers. There were two people in the truck. It was as if they were cooking one thing at a time. It look at least an hour and there were not even that many people in line waiting. One woman was taking orders and the man was cooking. The woman said it was her first or second day but in the time my husband ordered, my other child and I walked around for twenty minutes looking for other options (I wanted garlic shrimp, and they did not offer that on their menu), I went across the way after our walk, ordered a meal, got my meal, and sat there waiting to eat and it still look half an hour for the rest of the family to receive their orders. It was absolutely ridiculous. As another patron stated on Yelp, perhaps they should have stopped taking orders if they could not keep up. Love the food here, but not sure I would recommend my family coming back next time. read more

Ordered the coconut shrimp, and it was okay. I wish it had more flavor or seasoning on it. It kinda tasted greasy with no "pop" of flavor. Shrimp and size was great, but needed more flavor. Fries and salad were good though. read more

Love this! The local who directed me there was right! The coconut mahi was delicious. I added some garlic shrimp and it really hit! Best little food truck! Bonus, they had a picnic area for seating, but, the packaging was good too, you were able to move around if your group went with a different vendor. read more

Ahi Katsu plate was AMAZING!! I could barely get a picture because we were eating it so fast. It was hot, cooked to perfection, delicious sauces on top, and made quickly. We will definitely be back. read more

We found this food truck while driving around North Shore. Haleiwa Seafood shared a dining area with other food trucks nearby. It was outdoor seating, but the tables had umbrellas and were clean. The staff was warm, friendly, and patient while we looked at the menu. I ordered a Grilled Ahi Steak. The ahi was delicious and did not taste fishy; it was seasoned well. Everything tasted freshly made, and the portions were generous. I devoured the food since it was so good. Another good thing about this food truck was its reasonable prices. I recommend this place for a quick bite, especially if you're in the area. read more
Call me crazy for getting a steak plate at a seafood food truck, but is just soo delicious. I often come here for the steak plate. The seasoning of the steak is perfect. Normally they don't ask how I'd like it cooked, but today they did and made it just how I asked. The price for this meal was still under $20 with tip included. There are other food trucks in the area, I have never had trouble getting parking, and the food is made pretty quickly. There's a bunch of tables with umbrellas so you can sit and enjoy your food. read more

Out of site! We drove an hour to eat here due to Shrimp Shack was closed. They had so nice reviews. Due to the drive from downtown we had to go to the bathroom. The guy at the counter told us where to go around the corner and we may wanna squeeze till we got there . The service was great with plenty of smiles and laughter with the owners. While we waited we went next door to the Sea Shell Man and made a purchase. You sit outside on wooden picnic tables and maybe a metal chair or two. The food was piping Hot and seasoned well. A low-key hidden gem. I was really impressed by the quality of food I got for the price ($17) for an ahi katsu and ribeye combo plate which could've easily been priced over $20. The ahi did not taste fishy and was super crunchy with a flavorful sauce. Ribeye was cooked perfectly to medium rare and was seasoned well. We also got a side of fries that were good, and had a nice seasoning but a little salty. There's parking right in front of the food truck area next to crispy grindz and a shrimp truck, but Haleiwa Seafood is probably the best option of the three. There's also a lot of picnic benches in front to sit and enjoy. We came a little after 1pm so I'm not sure if we missed a lunch rush but there was nobody else really ordering at that time. Would recommend for a quick lunch with a lot of options. read more
Another "accidental" discovery of ours, after the place we were targeting for dinner was closed on Wednesdays! We drove by Haleiwa Seafood & noticed their clean looking business with curbside appeal & plenty of outdoor seating. They had good reviews on Yelp so this is where we landed. Great decision! For it being the end of the day, the 2 guys taking & filling orders were so cheerful, enthusiastic and efficient! Hubby chose the Plate Lunch Combo with Grilled Ahi & Beef Ribeye, the BEST macaroni salad on the island & rice. I ordered the Seafood Combo with Beer Battered Shrimp & Coconut Crusted Mahi (well worth the xtra buck!) & fries. Everything was so delicious! Both our plates also came with locally grown greens with an amazing dressing on it AND there was more than enough food for the 2 of us. In fact, there is enough for dinner tomorrow! We have 2 1/2 weeks left here, so we'll get to try more off their menu! read more

Absolutely no complaints! We stopped by here after a long day of snorkeling and I'm so glad we did! We loved the shrimp tacos and the coconut shrimp was so crispy and flavorful. We also ordered a smoothie to wash it down and it was so refreshing. The service was amazing and such a relaxed vibe. I would recommend stopping here if you're in the area! read more

I never had a problem with this place, this is the first time ever! We ordered 2 coconut shrimp/ribeye combo plate & 1 ribeye combo plate (all cooked medium RARE). Picked up my order, opened the plates & see 4 pcs of OVERCOOKED THIN steak in my combo plates. The Ribeye steak plate was also overcooked, was chopped up into tiny pieces and spread apart. Called and spoke to Elijah and Dewayne (cook per Elijah), kept asking questions and "figuring out" what's wrong with my plate after I told him how the steak was 4-5pcs of 1/2"-1" cut steaks. Elijah then kept saying "maybe bc we were running out of steak" like if that's the case, call me and lmk instead of letting it slide! Then he says "maybe we put the extra pcs of steak in the other plate" & I said "but why is that?! Why would u do that in GENERAL?" & he says "idk im not the cook" like wtf!! $20 for the combo plate now, not worth what we got! I said I can't come back now bc I have my baby to feed, I want something in return! & Elijah goes "what do u want ? I can give u extra 2 pcs of steak if that's what u want" like wtf kind of customer service is that!!! He kept telling me I can come back tonight or tomorrow and he'll ONLY give me 2pcs of extra steak?! This is Fckn ridiculous customer service! Elijah didn't know how to give any credit in return for this BS ass plate we paid $20 EACH for! Being a dumb ass he said with an air head, he kept asking what do I want in return & when I kept asking what can he give me in return for this BS he said "2pcs of extra steak"! He kept arguing with me through the phone! Asking questions, trynna "figure it out" bc he was "confused" so I said "you know what Elijah, ur customer service is ASS!" Then hung up! I asked for the boss, was told her name is "nari" or "naria"? & that she comes in tomorrow opening time so I will definitely call tomorrow to talk to the owner. Best believe I couldn't even feed the steak to my baby bc it was too dry from being over cooked! read more

This lunch wagon is located in a town called North Shore in the northern part of Oahu. This wagon offers delicious sandwiches, fish and chips, and more. The prices are reasonable ‼ The warm smiles of the employees working in the wagon and their heartwarming care made me feel the good old days of Hawaii. If you ever get a chance to visit the North Shore, I highly recommend you stop by the lunch wagon here and enjoy a delicious lunch! read more

Located in Haleiwa on Kamehameha Hwy. Similar to other places there is no marking immediately adjacent to these food trucks but there is parking about 100 yds away. I posted two photos of the current menu with prices. They do have a good variety of food. Everything we got was excellent. The two chicken tacos, ahi katsu plate, and the kalua pig burger. The last photo is the kalua pig burger where you cannot see the bun but it is under there. Good lunch option on the North Shore. read more
