It's a dive bar! There's nothing better than having a local spot close to home where you know you'll see a familiar face or two, have a cold beer, and a great meal you didn't have to cook yourself. Even though they were short staffed during this visit, the woman behind the bar, Karen, was doing her best. She said she'd been there since opening, and we were getting close to closing time. But she had the place pretty under control, and the crowd was doing their best to be helpful. My dining companion and I even offered to wash dishes. I hope everyone tipped her well. She deserved it! For dinner we started with the fried mushrooms. I would've gone with the cheese fries, except I thought I was having french fries with the burger. We both had the Bacon Swiss Avocado burger. Aka, the BSA. It was right on par for how I like a burger, perfectly balanced, and not overstuffed. Not a mess to eat. I enjoyed every bite. Myself and my husband stayed at La Quinta Inn for a concert. Really nice having a Pub on the property!!!! Service was excellent and the food was delicious! I had the chicken strips with fries and my husband had the BLT with coleslaw. My chicken strips were hot, fresh and amazing! The BLT was exactly as ordered, extra crispy bacon. Drinks were served promptly and cold! My Jack and Coke was well poured. Our bartender was friendly, busy, but on top of everything! We will definitely be back to Coopers and La Quinta! read more

Food was burnt. Service was terrible. Got threatened by multiple customers and staff. Tristen was the staff member that riled up all the bar patrons to start threatening me and my boyfriend. And the staff member who threatened me specifically was the owners dad. I know this because she said "nothing is going to happen because Tim is my dad" I've been in the service industry for over 15 years and never have I experienced something like this. If I were to treat my customers like this where I work, I would be fired on the spot. They only offered a refund after I threatened to call the police. And I'm still starving with not many places around to eat. I didn't even want the refund, I wanted a remake because I'm extremely hungry and they refused. This is the worst experience I've ever had at a restaurant in my entire life. I will not be back. And I will be passing this message to anyone who asks at my bar. read more

I was staying at the LaQuinta and decided to review Coopers Pub which is located in the same building. I do not drink anymore, so I was only interested in the food, and I had never been in a pub before, so it was interesting to observe. The actual pub is rather small, like you would expect of any local bar. There was a counter and the bartender was listening to a man sitting at the counter talk about his life. There were several booths along the walls and tables with chairs in the center of the room. I ordered at the counter and the bar tender took my order. She offered to have the food delivered to my room, but I was in no hurry and wanted to experience the atmosphere so I waited. Sitting at the booths opposite the bar, were two booths, each with a couple of very senior citizens. They all sat looking forward towards the bar area sitting motionless, eye's wide open and just staring. The room is kind of dim, and they made me feel like I was in a M. Night Shyamalan thriller movie. As a filmmaker, its was quite entertaining watching them. The person at the bar apparently was a regular, because as he was leaving he told the bartender he'd be back in later in the week to tell her more about whatever life event he had been sharing with her. She was friendly and said O.K. see you soon. The Kitchen is in a different area next to the pub, and a nice woman brought me my order. I ordered the BSA Burger and a side order of Deep Fried Pickles with ranch dressing. I was really looking forward to the fried dill pickles, because I hadn't had them in eleven years. No one sells them in California. The BSA (Bacon Swiss Avocado Burger) had some of the best bacon I've ever tasted, the burger was very beefy, but they must have been out of Avocado or only put a little on it, because I didn't taste any at all. Overall it was a very good hamburger and I didn't have to drive anywhere to get it. A bit on the pricey side, but that bacon sure was good. The deep fried dill pickles were long sliced, pretty oily, and a bit to salty for me. Wasn't quite what I had been expecting or dreaming of, I think i would go for French fries next time. Good, but not great. I kept thinking maybe they were salty since they're being sold in a pub where people would normally be drinking. May have been just the salt from the pickles, but it tasted like salt had been added, maybe to the batter. The BSA was $14 and the Fried Pickles was $9. I don't regret trying it since I like to review new locations, and that bacon was amazing and I didn't have to drive 3 to 6 miles for food, but I decided to only eat there once since I had other places to review in the area. read more

Coopers has become one of our "go-to" places in the area. The food is bar food but it's all good. The owners are involved and interested. The real upside here is the staff. The bartenders/waitress' are all spectacular. This place can get busy but they all remain calm and get the job done. Earlier in the evening there seems to be a lot of travelers (place is in The La Quinta). Seems like more regulars as the evening progresses. It has been commented, negatively, that they add a charge for credit card use. So do a lot of places, the credit card companies charge them! Gas stations have cash vs credit card pricing. One nice thing is the mix of clientele. Real cowboys, traveling seniors, young folks, and even a few women dressed for an evening out! So good drinks, good food and good service. This place came highly recommended by our friends at how great the food was. I found the food just so-so. The fries had been cooked in used oil and were not very good. Burger was alright, nothing special. Our waitress was great and worked her butt off. Place was about half-full but she was juggling several tables and part of the bar. The manager came around to check on tables which I always appreciate. If you're staying in the hotel, this is a good option for nearby food. The singers were good and it appeared that everyone there was having a good time and respectful to all who sang. Nice mix of music genre and some really great voices. Fantastic hidden gem!! My husband and I went to Prescott for a weekend trip and discovered this wonderful restaurant. This is a family owned and run place and we loved it. We had cheeseburgers and fries, wings, and a pizza with Canadian bacon. Everything was so delicious. The burgers were cooked to perfection, the fries were crispy and full of flavor and the pizza could have been cooked in an Italian oven. They also have a wide variety of craft beers which was amazing. We will be visiting Coopers Pub every time we are in Prescott. We highly recommend it!! read more

Being from Iowa I get a craving for a pork tenderloin and have never seen them on any other menus in Arizona and California, so that is what brought me in and it did not disappoint. This quaint little family owned place is just awesome. It's actually inside the La Quinta Inn and has good bar type food. Great live music tonight. Perfect for a night at the hotel when you're not wanting to go anywhere else. Solid selection of beer, wine and drinks. The owner came over to our table and chatted with us. He was very nice and recommended places to go see and things to do while we're here. It's 5 star for how we have been treated, how everyone has been so nice and friendly; and for the ambience for a 'hotel bar' is actually nice. read more

Tried it today. Bartender/waitress was distracted by a phone call and/or conversation with a friend. I was not told of daily specials. I was never offered a napkin or condiments.
