Not much has changed in the three years since I have been here last. The ambiance is the same and things were at least better for service. The menu hasn't changed and this time I got the Southwest Roast Beef sandwich with my selected slide of Red Potato Salad. The sandwich was big enough on an adequate size bun, although some stuff still fell out on the plate. The roast beef was tender and delicious, plus a hefty helping. It came with cheese and mild green chiles. I cut the sandwich in half which made it much more manageable. The potato salad was quite good and I put a good deal of pepper on top as is my general preference. I had an iced tea to wash it all done. Service was kind and accommodating. The Mexican salad was delicious. I got it with grilled chicken Monday night. Can't go wrong. Monday. Madness is a great deal. My husband has ordered the chicken Cordon Bleu and it's delicious and I have tried the chicken marsala. It is delicious too. read more

From start to finish, our experience was top notch. We came in yesterday for the first time. We were seated quickly and were ordering drinks within minutes of sitting down. The food was delicious. Stopped in for lunch and we're happy to find that they have a dog-friendly outdoor dining area! Friendly service and prices are fair considering today's economy. I ordered the pastrami sandwich, but changed out the marbled rye for a hoagie roll and though the sandwich was much smaller than the pastramis I've had at other places, it was served hot and was very good. Lots of chopped pickles and mustard! I would probably order this again. My husband had the tuna melt and he said it was pretty good. He expected a bit more tuna, but loved the crunch of the toasted sourdough bread! He also had a craft beer, but said it wasn't all that great... Sandwiches are served with a side and I opted for the fries (I know! Who said I was being healthy? ), which were by far the most amazing part of my meal! They were served hot and crunchy, but soft in the middle, just as a fry should always be! Oh wow were we impressed! The inside is very cozy and warm, and the menu is very large. Food was fantastic! The fried green beans were the best we've ever had! It was delicious! The ribs were so tender and had great flavor. The waffle fries were the best fries my friend has ever had. All of the sides were fresh and flavorful. Service was great as well. Very BLAND flavorless sandwiches. I had the French Dip and my husband had the Philly Cheese Steak sandwich. The meat tasted like they bought it from a local grocery store, the rolls the sandwiches came on were burnt. The tea tasted like it was made with tap water. I love the food here I've had the Cobb salad and also had the Dagwood sandwich and is a nice size, I usually sit at the bar top so I can watch the game or golf and Johnny takes great care of me and my guest . First time visiting here! Arrived mid day Saturday and there was only 2 other people in the grill, very quiet and quaint. Very quick service, staff seemed polite. I ordered the chicken club and it was 10/10 amazing, I've never had such an amazing sandwich before! Fresh ham, crispy bacon, yummy chicken. It was very messy eating but I would absolutely order it again. My husband got the French dip, said it was good but a little plain. Also ordered the carrot cake and said that was quite tasty. We just love this place!! Todd was most excellent, he was our host, server, bus boy, cashier!! He was the only server that we saw, he had the right side of the restaurant all to himself, and I saw 2 girls running amok on the left side of the restaurant. Todd was just awesome, he was calm, cool, and collected, he wasn't a mess running around stressed out, like the other girls were! Next time, we go are asking for TODD!! Way to go Todd! My first and only experience with this restaurant was via a to-go order. I ordered the soup of the day and the french dip sandwich, half of it pictured here. This was the BLANDEST meat I have ever tasted in my life, to the point it was insulting. I almost guarantee they boil the meat instead of preparing it properly as it was tough, chewy, flavorless, and couldn't even be saved by the au jus. The soup of the day was a cream of chicken something, again featuring boiled meat with no seasoning, seemed like a prepackaged soup. Will not be back. read more

We had lunch on the patio, enjoying the shade, as did our dogs. We ordered wings as an appetizer, and they were perfect!! Crispy on the outside, but tender and juicy on the inside. I got the French Dip sandwich and paid extra for the sweet potato fries. The sandwich was great and the fries were fantastic!! They were sweet potato waffle fries, which usually makes me think frozen, then fried, but these tasted fresh and were salted perfectly. The portion size was decent also. My wife ordered a turkey sandwich. The turkey was very much to her liking. The regular fries were of the same great quality as the sweet potato fries. I always read the reviews before I try a new place. The reviews were horrible, but we decided to give it a try. Should have listened to the reviews. The food was less than desirable. The meat was dry and chewy. I've never had a steak salad with cold steak. It was terrible, but the server said it was supposed to be served like that. One last thing that could improve is the way they serve. Instead of setting our plates on the table, the server insisted on handing the full plates directly to us and we set them on the table. We got there waited 20 minutes the restaurant wasn't even half before. He was an additional 12 minutes before we even got our water and our drinks . Then we waited 40 minutes to get our food. We got our food 10 minutes to eat finally they have something and haven't run out of so we ate. They had one steak left . Horrible customer service absolutely horrible. My family went to Gabbys for a birthday celebration. My family ordered. Burgers and a salad. They were all good! I ordered a dinner- chicken Marsala. The baked potato green beans and dinner salad were very good BUT the chicken looked like a flattened chicken tender and it was tough. Gabby's is consistently good. Sweet potato fries are exceptional! Good menu selection, and lots of great salad choices. The Caprese sandwich is my favorite but their hamburgers are equally as delicious. Full bar so fun place to go before an event at the Findlay Center, which is close by. read more

Went there for dinner tonight, Looked at the reviews and they looked OK, however we ordered the clam chowder and it was barely warm, Had to send that back, then the fish and chips came, the fries were not even done and I've never seen a fish roll up, and just as I thought, It was probably the worst fish and chips I've ever eaten in my life. It puts such a bad taste in my mouth I will never ever go back there! Plus it was extremely expensive for three people. Do yourself a favor, go somewhere else for fish and chips not here. I have only eaten there twice and both times, I was very impressed with the food AND the service! I thought the strawberry spinach salad with feta was so delicious that I now crave it! I had never had fried green beans before and those were excellent too! I had left my ATM card there accidentally and called several places trying to find it and they had it right at the bar, keeping it safe and I got it right back.
