As soon as they drive off the door was the same as before. Its an insulated door but in the cold winter it has terrible condensation and when opened water comes out of every panel. I waited for a call but never got one so I rode my bike to work at night in the snow. After graveyard shift I rode by bowens and didn't see my car in the parking lot. I looking in the garage and didn't see it in there either. I had an apple air tag in the car and tracked it. I know apple air tags are very accurate to the foot. I was standing in the parking lot and my phone said my car was right where I was standing but it wasn't. I called them when they opened on Saturday and they said they couldn't reach me because they didn't have my phone number! Even though I had recently talk to them on the phone. When I went to pick it up, my car had an extra 39 miles on the odometer. I know for a fact that it doesn't take 39 miles to road test the alignment. I'm thinking someone took my car home for the night or something. Am I over reacting? Is there a more reasonable explanation?

I am not at all satisfied, and that should matter to you. I never said I was upset by the six weeks it took to fix it, I am saying that it should be enough time to do the job right. You are conveniently leaving out of your reply a lot of things that we have already talked about. 1. No mention by you at all of the alignment issue. The shop I took it to said it was "as far out of alignment as any we have seen". Due to lack of quality and quality control, you gave me back a dangerous vehicle. If I had picked up the car to drive it the ten hours home rather than shipping it, the tire would have shredded and could have easily resulted in a high-speed accident. You have spoken to the shop that I took it to. You know this. I am attaching a picture of what the alignment shop found. You replaced the tie rods on that wheel - did someone forget to tighten something? 2. I have discussed the body work issues with your shop. I thought we agreed that it is ridiculous to think that something happened after it left your shop, to the exact same spot they were supposed to repair. Without a single mark anywhere else on the car. Your pictures are in my original review. They are worthless and there is no way you can see if anything was there or not. It was there when you sent it out and any decent QC would have seen it. I spotted it while merely looking at the washer fluid reservoir repair that you completely botched. We learned today from the shop that you recommended here that it can't be fixed by dentless paint repair. I paid for that repair out of pocket, outside of the insurance claim. I paid all that you asked, didn't get any bargain. You should pay that back. Or continue to refuse to take responsibility for your poor work. 3. Windshield washer reservoir... unbelievably bad work, with no oversight. Your technician failed to attach a grommet that holds a seal in place. All the fluid leaks out as soon as the car moves. It was never checked or they would have known that. I took it to a shop to fix it, only to learn later that the dash warning light for it would not turn off. Found out today that your shop reattached the sensor UPSIDE DOWN. Isn't that embarrassing? You say they drove the car after the repairs - I think they would have noticed a bright yellow warning light on the dash. It is hard to miss. Maybe the sun was too bright, or maybe... it was getting close to lunchtime or quitting time and they didn't check it. 4. No, you haven't paid for dentless paint removal (couldn't be done) and you haven't paid for all of the extra days of car rental. You paid for three. $150 is your limit, as you told me several times. My insurance company has committed to pay for three more, and I paid for three and then returned the rental before I got my car back so that I could stop the bleeding. 5. Communication has been the worst I have ever experienced from a customer service organization. I have been told so many times they will "call me right back" only to wait hours or days for that call. The latest came when I spent my own time to get the alignment fixed. I called Tony at your shop to confirm that he was paying the bill and was told to have the shop call him for payment. After waiting my turn and getting the news about the poor condition of the alignment, the shop did call Tony and he said he would "call right back". After 15 minutes of waiting and getting tired of the cartoons playing for the kids in the waiting room, I called your shop. I was very surprised to be told that Tony had gone to lunch. How nice for him. When I did reach him by phone, after his lunch, he said he didn't know I was waiting at the shop...... seriously.

It wasn't until after they painted it when they added up all the cost and told me the two estimates they gave me one was for painting the hood and one was just for the fenders. I wish they would have given me the estimates i asked for in the beginning. I never had this issue with the three other shops I received estimates from. Not only that but my clear coat was still soft after three days and I had a small scratch, but the manager said that's normal... The best advice I have for this company is they should always tell the customer the grand total before performing work. I called Blackhawk, Brent came out within the next week-he is the linear master- he figured out that the motor was functioning just fine, it was the electrical outlet that wasn't consistently giving it power. He tried another outlet and ta-da! It was working again. When I do need to replace my garage motor or have issues- I'm calling Blackhawk the first time. Thank you so much Brent! A+ in my book! I really appreciated the honesty and not up-pricing everything.

On 7/23/2024 I signed a contract with BlackHawk Garage Door and paid a 50% deposit for the purchase…read moreand installation of a new C.H.I. Planks Cedar garage door. The salesperson, David Schaffran, informed me the lead time would be 6-8 weeks. On 9/23/24 a two-person crew from BlackHawk Garage Door came to my house and installed the new garage door, tracks, spring, and opener. The installation crew realized there was one damaged section as well as two other sections of the garage door that didn't have the correct color trim. At no point during the two-month wait did BlackHawk Garage Door notify me of any issues with the garage door, nor did the technicians notify me of the obvious problems until after installation was complete. They had already removed my existing garage door, tracks, spring, and opener, so I had no option but to wait for them to fix these issues with the new garage door sections. After the installation crew left, I called David Schaffran to inquire about these issues. David said he would get back to me later on 9/23/24, but never did. I emailed BlackHawk Garage Door's management the following day to get their resolution plans. The purchasing manager, Brandon Myers, responded claiming this was a warranty issue with the supplier, C.H.I. Garage Door. Brandon told me we were fortunate to be getting all four sections of the garage door replaced through warranty. This is not a warranty issue. This door was not to the specs I ordered per our contract. BlackHawk Garage Door knowingly installed a wrong and partially damaged door. Brandon has repeatedly assigned the blame on the supplier and insisted that BlackHawk Garage Door has done the best they could, glossing over the fact that BlackHawk clearly failed to properly inspect the door. I have had to inquire several times to get a clear answer as to when I would have the correct garage door installed at my home. The most information he provided was 4-5 weeks lead time for the replacement garage sections, and that the installation would be prioritized. After more than five weeks of waiting with no updates, I followed up again through email on 10/30/24. Brandon Myers responded claiming the replacement sections were backordered not once but twice, first on 10/11/24 and again on 10/24/24. I was never informed by BlackHawk Garage Door when these events took place. The revised ETA is now allegedly the second week of November, 2024. BlackHawk Gargage Door has been disrespectful to my time and property and has not performed on our contract. They have never taken responsibility, and their communication reflects a smug arrogance that they're doing me a favor even when it's their wrongdoing.
