Well, next time I will not get the sugar free mango and opt for some of their mixed creations! My choice, helped my diet, but it was very soft flavored... it was nice and cold, but I was underwhelmed. Her creation was delicious: I think it was called a grasshopper? Yum! No wonder she keeps coming back! Honestly for the price (same price for any creation or plain ice), I should've had the special! Lesson learned! These cupcakes are ridiculously good. They look like they belong in a magazine and taste even better. I started with the Death by Chocolate--because obviously--and it was everything I hoped for. Then I tried the banana cream... and suddenly I was in trouble. At that point I just gave up pretending and inhaled the rest. Zero regrets. If you have even a shred of self-control, get the mini cupcakes. They give you that perfect little taste and might help you avoid eating the ones you bought as gifts. (No promises.) Run, don't walk. I'd definitely come back because the quality of the gelato was excellent. The only area that could use some improvement was the customer service flow. When we walked in, there was one employee working, a customer with three young children who was taking quite a while deciding on flavors, and another customer who appeared to be waiting to pay. I don't know how long he had already been waiting, but by the time he finally paid, he had nearly finished eating his gelato. While the family was still deciding, the customer herself kindly told us to go ahead and place our order so she wouldn't keep holding us up. We appreciated that gesture and stepped up to order. I ordered chocolate and stracciatella. When I asked for chocolate, the employee asked if I was sure and whether I'd had it before. She did offer me a sample, which was thoughtful, but it caught me off guard since I wasn't expecting to have to justify my flavor choice. I also asked if they had cones, and she said they didn't. She then asked what size cup I wanted. I replied that I'd like one scoop of each flavor, not realizing the scoop count and cup size were separate choices. It took a couple of exchanges before I understood what she meant. A little more explanation upfront would have made the ordering process much smoother. After our gelato was prepared, I expected we'd be able to pay and move on. Instead, the employee immediately went back to helping the family continue sampling and deciding on flavors before ringing us up. By the time we were finally able to pay, my husband had almost finished eating his gelato. The employee was genuinely friendly and patient, especially with the family, and I understand it's not easy managing everything alone. I just think some additional training on balancing multiple customers--such as quickly checking out customers whose orders are already complete before returning to someone who is still deciding--would make the experience much smoother for everyone. Overall, the gelato was delicious, the shop was clean, and I'd happily come back. I just hope the service flow improves because the product itself is definitely worth the visit.

I know many Austinites have an undying loyalty to a local ice cream chain but it simply does not compare to Gelato Paradiso (unless you're my husband and can't get enough of Mexican vanilla). The pistachio gelato is intensely nutty, perfectly smooth, and easily my favorite. The raspberry is a close second - packed with fruity flavor and the texture is somehow thick n creamy despite being a sorbet. It'll be hard for me to peel away from these two options, but samples of the dark chocolate and salted caramel were also so good. Ask for two flavors if you can't decide, the servers are happy to help. Not a ton of seating/standing options but there are benches right outside. Love the little window that lets us peek into the kitchen where the magic is made. Shoutout Baldinucci Pizza Romana forever and ever for introducing me to the wonderful Gelato Paradiso! Super creamy and they had so many flavor options. I got the chocolate and strawberry dairy free. My husband got vanilla and our nephew got cookies and cream. They all loved theirs. I got the small and it was still such a good portion. However they didn't offer us to sign up for rewards and we spend over $30 on ice cream. They said they couldn't use that purchase towards points so that was a bummer. Otherwise a great time and will be back! It's so delish.

Texas water buffalo milk gelato!?…read more Oro Bianca is a super unique gelato spot that we found on accident. We were set on trying a pie shop in town, but much to our dismay the place sold out early so we turned to yelp and found this awesome spot. The shop is super welcoming and modern. We were worried to be the only ones in the shop, but that worry turned into surprise real quick. They offer Texas water Buffalo milk gelato which is super cool. Back in the Philippines where I grew up we use water buffalo milk for sweet desserts, but never on gelato/ice cream so to me this was super cool. When I go to a gelateria I always try the pistachio and I enjoyed theirs a lot. Creamy and natural nutty flavor - the water Buffalo milk offers a different type of creaminess than a normal cows milk would! I also sampled their straciatella and enjoyed it - My wife actually got it with her affogato. Speaking of, they also have espresso based drinks, and their espresso is so full and robust like a traditional Italian shot would be. Overall, I think this place is the best gelato I've had this year so far. I wish they would open one in Houston!

They are already in Blanco, Stonewall & Dripping Springs. This location is very cozy, clean & inviting. The staff is very friendly. They encourage you to try all the flavors, in order to make an informed decision. I tried 13 of the 19 flavors that they had on hand. This is definitely some of the best gelato that I have had. The gelato is made in small batches, from 100% grass-fed water buffalo, by Texas water buffalo. They also make their own cheese and meat products. Samples of some of those were available to sample as well, which you are also able to purchase. Very delicious! They also had 2 types of premade sandwiches. To be honest, the cheeses available are a little pricey, but definitely worth a try. I paid $12 for half a sandwich & chips. Not exactly a bargain, but still worth a taste. They also have cookbooks, pasta makers, crackers & other items to whip up some charcuterie at home. I will be back...often! I am definitely making this a once a week treat.
