The food is always delicious and good service. I got in a good walk for the lunch time special.

My daughter and I went there for the first time. It was great. We ordered oxtails, brown stew chicken, sorrel, and a side of roti.the playlist was on point as well! Yes, we were singing and eating! The seasonings were balanced beautifully!! My tongue and palate were very pleased!! The sorrel is on point!! I appreciate it when the cook understands how to properly season the food!! I will be back for sure!! Note: there is seating inside but not for more than about 15 people. Street parking and garage nearby,

Finally got a chance to try out Jerk hut and I was pleasantly surprised. My choices were the jerk and curry chicken patties and coco bread. One thing I'll say is eating immediately is the best bet. Quite soft and decent flavor. I wouldn't advise waiting to long as they don't travel to well, but other then that I'd patronize this fine establishment again. Definitely check them out if you're in the area.

I had a taste for some Caribbean cuisine and decided to give Jerk Hut a try. I went with the brown stew chicken which comes with rice, cabbage and two sweet plantains. I also got a side order of sweet plantains. I honestly ordered the side order of plantains because the description didn't say the meal came with it. I love plantains and didn't want to chance not having any at all. The food was flavorful and the large portion has enough food for 2 maybe even 3 servings depending on how you eat. I thought I was playing it safe getting brown stew chicken because I didn't want anything spicy. But my meal had a kick to it. I think it was largely due to the amount of pimento/allspice seeds in it. I had to examine each forkful to make sure I wasn't chewing on any after I chewed on two. I think there were about 24 seeds in my meal alone. I've never experience that eating Jamaican food. The chicken was super tender but I received more gravy, bones and potatoes than I did chicken. I was disappointed cause like I said the food was flavorful. I mean even with the spice level so high my greedy behind kept eating. But my mouth paid the price. Yikes! I'm going to give them one more try and hope the second time is a charm. Maybe it was an off day for them.

The customer service is excellent! The inside was very nice and clean. The food was good, the greens were a little salty. I would return I want to try the curry chicken. The area is in great place, but parking can be bad depending on time.

After seeing this place advertised on Instagram I wanted to give it a try. I walked in and didn't know it was such a small place but, it was very cheerful in color and clean. It was one person in front of me then the friendly cashier took my order of jerk chicken rice and peas and a pineapple soda. Let me tell you the jerk chicken was a lunch special for $8.00. It did not disappoint. I would definitely return to this business for fast, friendly service and great food.

I HATE wasting my money on bad food and that is exactly what I did at this place! Im so mad. First and foremost almost every piece of chicken was undercooked!!! Never in my life have I ever bought undercooked food from a Caribbean restaurant before today. Disgusting. It was too far to drive back, so I took the L. Second, the jerk seasoning was basically a pour on I didn't see or taste much of a rub or that grilled taste. I wont ever go there again. Disasters

Wanted to give this place a try for something quick and I saw they had wings. I got their lemon pepper wings. A little heavy on the seasoning but they were still hot and delicious. Friendly staff and good service. They also have $8 lunch specials which is a rare to find in high price Towson. I cant wait to try their other dishes. Check this place out if you are in the area

I met up with a dear friend of mine for lunch. She never had I.Q. before and I wanted her to try them out. I bought my favorite- brown stew chicken with rice and peas. She bought jerk chicken with rice and peas. As always, this place is always jumping! We came on a weekday, during the lunch hour. Although, we called our orders in beforehand, there was still a wait. This is kind of normal, so if you're in a hurry, you may be a bit frustrated. They definitely take their time. My friend asked for peppers to top her food with. What I assumed would be a quick 1-2 minute task seemed like almost ten minutes! After about 20 minutes, our orders were ready. This is NOT a dine in restaurant. It's a fairly small place. Although there's a small table with two chairs in the corner, this isn't a really place to sit and enjoy your food. You'd be more comfortable eating in your car. We grabbed our food and left, opting to eat at a nearby park. It was a beautiful spring day- a perfect setting to eat our lunch. Both of our dishes were absolutely delicious! So delicious that I forgot to snap a picture! Lol! The chicken in my brown stew chicken dish was sooo delightfully tender! The sauce was mildly sweet and flavorful. My friend thoroughly enjoyed her meal very much & vowed to come back. If you live in the Towson area and have a taste for some pretty good Caribbean food, Island Quizine will take care of you!

In my opinion, finding good Jamaican food in the area has been a challenge. Often too sweet and not packing enough flavor. But Diasporan Soul has put that opinion to bed. When you walk into Diasporan Soul they have a very nice Afro-centric dining area as well as a sort of apothecary selection for patrons to browse and buy when the dining room is open. However, the night I stopped by they seemed to be doing only carry out, which you order in the back of the restaurant. My go-to order is always jerk chicken with cabbage, rice & peas, and a beef patty. And Diasporan Soul did not disappoint. The jerk chicken was smoky, seasoned well, and fall off the bone tender. However, next time I'll ask to have my chicken topped with some sauce because that would've definitely taken it over the top. The cabbage was buttery and cooked perfectly and the rice was delicious. The beef patty was actually one of the better beef patties I've had here in the area, with a decent amount of filling. If you're in the area or looking for a new Jamaican restaurant to try, then you have to give Diasporan Soul a try. The service was pleasant, and the food was delicious and plentiful. I can't wait for my next visit.
