    Ocean Pride Crab Cakes

A great local spot in the northern Baltimore County area! Our waitress was very friendly and polite, and checked on us several times. The restaurant was decently full, though the food came out rather quick. The Cream of Crab soup was good, and had lots of crab meat in it. I will say it was a bit bland, but it was still tasty overall. We had one broiled and one fried crab cake - broiled was definitely the better option! The Baja Fish Tacos were a bit on the saltier side, and pretty standard. The Seafood Mac & Cheese was my favorite dish here, though I would suggest sharing it, as it is very filling. The restaurant had an old time feel to it, but it fit the vibe well. Parking can be tough at this location, so if you can avoid peak time, that would be ideal!

Disappointing night here. The crab cakes (for the first time I've had them) had a lot more filler then they use to. The cream of crab soup had very little crab. Several people in our party had luke warm fries. The waitress was excellent, and the Restuarant itself was ok.

Craving a fish sandwich for lunch do headed to OP on a Saturday. Sat at bar and ordered the fish and chips sandwich and a cold draft beer. Fried cod was thick cut and fries were crispy as ordered. They have the best fries in the area IMHO. Servers were great as always. Nothing fancy at OP but I think food is normally solid.

Ocean Pride is a staple in the Timonium area but can be hit or miss. I'm always a little wary when seeking a non crab option at a restaurant that caters to crab but I was extremely surprised by my salmon salad. The glaze on the salmon was phenomenal and the salmon itself was flaky and fresh. Never expected a salad here to be so good but would definitely reorder. All other food I've tried is ok and leaves a lot to be desired. Add in a noisy atmosphere, the fact that it's almost always hot in the restaurant , and it is not a place you necessarily want to sit and linger at for a relaxing dinner.

I sat at the bar and received prompt, friendly service from the bartenders, who were welcoming and attentive. The rockfish could have used more seasoning, but the crab imperial topping was flavorful and complemented the dish well. Overall 7 out of 1.

They've been coming here on and off for 35 years and the food is at least really good.

Crabs are always big and full of meat. Tried the crab dip and sadly it was just "ok". I didn't have trouble eating it all tho lol.

Great bar. Chose to eat out crabs there; the dining room past 2 times looks like it needs some major TLC. BUT, delicious!

Crabs were good; however, Ocean Pride added 20% tip to the price of the whole bill. Ridiculous. I won't be eating crabs there again.

You can choose any soup or greens, an entrée, and then dessert. It was very tempting, however, we were only ordering for lunch. To start they gave us a warm, crusty rolls, which were yummy. Hubby enjoyed a bowl of Maryland crab soup and the shrimp salad wrap, and I had a chicken and avocado salad, which was fresh, delicious, and enormous. I took half of it home for lunch tomorrow! Cage was a great server. Both personable and attentive. This is a large, clean restaurant with a nice clean bathroom as well as a full bar. Lots of private spaces for a larger party as well. It was busy because of the holiday but Bluestone has a lot of seating. I asked the 3 girls at the front for a table with good lighting. The hostess didn't hesitate and we were seated immediately. There was a Fathers Day special of 2 separate entrees . Our Server Jake told us the Steak was sold out . That's pretty good for them. Sounds like I should try the steak another day if they have it. I wanted a small plate and Jake gave me 3 recommendations: BANG bang shrimp, mini crab cakes, & Crab Spinach dip. I ordered the Bang Bang Shrimp and the beet salad. This was another "live in the moment" dinner for me. I am deciding to be more deliberate about enjoying my food and not taking as many pics. Everyone on Yelp has the same pics of the same food. The beet salad was so good. Very appealing plate. The Bang Bang Shrimp were swimming in sauce but still tasty. I really wanted to try a new red wine Jake recommendations were : JEZEBEL & Alta Pavina. I chose the Alta Pavina (a high alcohol content you may only need 1). I wasn't feeling like a Jezebel on Sunday and decided to wait for a Friday night for that red wine.

We ordered two pounds of king crab leg and three pounds of crawfish, and it was not good. The quality of the seafood was not consistent. 1/8 pieces of crayfish we're excellent, but the rest were either freezer burned or super overcooked and mushy. We asked for the crafty cajun spice with the spice level at the hottest, which is fire and it was nowhere near spicy at all. It was $110 for 2 lbs of king crab legs which is a deal but the quality was just okay. Not amazing or packed with meat and a bit flimsy. Tips: 1. They do not have a liquor license at the location so I recommend BYOB! Pick up whatever you want to drink for your meal at the total wine, which is right around the corner and bring it with you! 2. Order your fried sides at the end e.g french fries. The service here is really great, and they'll bring out the fries really quickly once they're ready
