Went 4 years ago , food was good. Went back last night. Waited 45 min for 10 chicken wings. Food still good. Understand one thing , fast food means you don't have to cook it! Staff was pleasant. Being that people are so use to calling orders in even most high end places ignore people walking in placing an order. Now if it took that long for me to get my food that means it was seasoned and marinated and cooked fresh ! It was delicious. I recommend this place. I have zero complaints about anything. The oxtails litteraly melt in your mouth, the chicken alfredo tasted like a Jamaican grandma made it (tip: add some jerk sauce into the Alfredo and you get a whole other kick!!) in her kitchen! The Jerk chicken had so much flavor it didnt need the sauce and the piece de resistance: The Beef Patties!! The crust was super flaky and the mincemeat well spiced. I placed an order for brown stew chicken and dark chicken plate with the sides of cabbage and yams and spaghetti and yams . When I say by far the worst Jamaican food I have ever had . The brown stew chicken was literally just gray and the yams taste canned and last but not least if your plates are going to be $17 and $20 please do better with the quality of food! I got the oxtail dinner, and although it wasn't the best I've ever had, it was good enough for me to come back for a second time. The only thing I would complain about is the credit card fee. In Illinois, if you pay with cash or a debit card, stores are not allowed to charge you a credit card fee. If you pay with a credit card, they are only allowed to charge the percentage that the credit card charges them. However, this establishment charges a flat one dollar for all credit card transactions, which is illegal. read more

The Brown Stew Chicken is really good! I love the cabbage, wasn't soggy or anything, it had a good texture. Now them string beans... they need to boiled in salt water and then add more salt. Thats how dry and bland they were. The person who answered the phone was very friendly. read more

I knew my experience wasn't going to be good from the beginning. I ordered the salmon and the lady told me it was going to take 25 minutes because it's salmon like I didn't know salmon is done in 6 minutes. So when I finally got the food they gave me catfish not salmon. Bones everywhere! Mac and cheese was dry and had no flavor. Red beans and rice was soupy and had no flavor. I lucked up on this gem because the first place didn't answer the phone. We will skip the part about waiting for the food because that seems to be the norm at Jerk places (gives you time to socialize and meet some interesting people). Food was not only the best jerk I've had in Chatham but it was the best meal I've had in Chatham. The spice/ heat was just right.
