The hot honey sauce isn't hot at all it's very sweet, the greens didn't come with turkey as listed. Otherwise the taste of everything was on point. This was my first visit to this restaurant. The service was unprofessional and plain rude by way of the owner. The owner was offended when I couldn't understand her question ,through bulletproof glass , when I came to pick up my food. I called her on it. How it ended, she snatched my food I paid for out of my hands and said, " tell em Kisha gave you your money back!" A different young lady gave me my food once finding my order was resolved (my name was mis spelled, no worries). She was pleasant. I couldn't believe it. Her restaurant has great reviews (about the food). I can't speak on the food because she took it from me, literally! This restaurant has been popping up in my feed for a while. I have a rental property in the area and decided to check it out. Since I hadn't ordered anything before I called ahead to see if I could preorder. The young lady explained that all phones order must be prepaid. Decided to just make the drive and place my order and to my surprise it was well worth the drive and the wait. The food was hot and very favorable. This small take out place is up the street from my house. I frequently visit after work. I enjoy their fried catfish the best. It's really crispy and seasoned well. The service can be average at times. There can also be like a 20 minute wait for your order, but other than that, it's a cool go to spot. The sides are decent as well. I arrived on Sunday September 24th to try the food. When I got there they said it would be 1hr wait which I was fine with that 1hr turned into over 2hr wait which I think is ridiculous. People that came after me received there food before mines and the owner came out and said that the tickets got mixed up and that she was just grabbing tickets just trying to fill orders because the cashier was sick and had to go home. The tickets do have numbers on them so even if they did get mixed up you could have put the numbers in order just saying. She could have at least offered a free piece of cake or something for the inconvenience. Most of the food was good that I ordered I didn't care for the collard greens or the dressing. The chicken , beef short ribs and pork chops was good was not able to try the sweet potatoes because they ran out. She needs to just figure out how to handle large crowds of customers and she will do very. read more

My brother and I did not enjoy the food from this restaurant. The wings were okay, but were soft from the sauce (buffalo lemon pepper) which did not have much flavor. I had the honey hot sauce catfish, which was more sweet than spicy, and that does not go well with fish. The sauce also got over the sides so both my Mac and cheese and greens were sweet, which was not enjoyable. Now on to the "krack and cheese" with a name like that, I was excited and was disappointed. The Mac and cheese is not tasty at all, the Mac and cheese at Food on the Run is WAY better. I would not go here again. I will say they have good service, they were out of a side and called to tell me, but otherwise I will not be back. If you're in this part of Chicago, I'd recommend Food on the Run instead.
