This place was excellent! I loved the owner's story that was posted on the wall. Went from flipping burgers to owning a burger joint. It was clean, offered a bathroom for customers, and great customer service. I was so happy to support. They actually had vegan milkshakes and vegan burgers, and it was right in my own hood. Unfortunately, the people in that neighborhood are used to poor quality food and poor customer service, so the business was not well received. Hopefully, things change and they return. read more

I stopped by here the other night the young lady at the order taker informed me the card system was down but that I could place my order online which I did once I got to the window and young lady asked me how she could help me I explained I just placed an order online for a milkshake she said the order ain't came thru yet. I waited patiently then another woman came to o the window telling me the entire system is down and I was confused since I was informed to simply place me or online I showed her my phone with my order number she told me to cancel the order which she quickly found out you can't online. She then told me she would have to cancel the order once the system was back up I asked couldn't I just get my shake. She said no now I have to file a claim with my bank since I never received what I paid for and I never received a refund shame on them and I will never be back u only have one time to treat me poorly!!! read more

Delicioussssss! A bit pricey for the demographic in the area but well worth the price!!!!!! Food is cooked to order! Not like McD's! You have to wait for greatness. I got a large cheese burger, onion rings and a cookies and cream shake. For the meal I added a shake for $4. So my meal was about $20. I went through the drive thru and my customer service was stellar!!! My cheeseburger was massive and seasoned well! Happy that they don't add ketchup cause I hate it!!! My onion rings were fried with a light batter, lightly salted and just delightfully delicious! My shake was made with real ice cream. I really enjoyed Fat Burger!!!! This place is an abject failure despite really attentive customer service. The prices are outrageously high for the food produced. Clean inside but I would not dine there. The service was good the men on the registers were friendly and knowledgeable about the food... there was a money situation going on with another guest and they were handling well . Even offered a refund and still made their order. The burger (I got the original) was good nice char however I asked for extra pickles and they put 2 pickles total on the burger... next time I will ask for extra sauce as it's a bit dry due to cutting back on condiments. Not sure why the cheddar cheese simply disappeared from my burger overall not bad! read more

I'm not understanding the low votes for this location. Every time I visit, I'm served hot, fresh and tasty food. The time from order to delivery is longer than the average fast food spot, but the output is worth it; it tastes much better than the average fast food burger. The food is also consistent with other locations I've been to; they have the best, juiciest turkey burger that I've ever had at a fast food chain. The service was TERRIBLE, and the food was mediocre at best. With that, it's a bit too pricey for the neighborhood. The locals aren't patronizing the location because of that. How are you gonna sell a $20 burger in East Chatham, when the median income according to the latest U.S. Census is $23,800 (but we know how that goes; "we" don't report as we should, but I digress...)? Hell that's below the poverty line. Yes, it's great to have better restaurant offerings in the inner-city, but you need to take into the account the income level of those closest in proximity to your establishment. read more

I came in with high hopes and genuinely wanted to show support for this location, but unfortunately the experience was extremely disappointing. The wait time was about 45 minutes because several workers had called out. During that time, I watched two cars leave the drive-thru, which already set the tone. The burger itself was just okay--nothing special and pretty greasy. But the real issue was the garlic parmesan chicken, which was honestly horrible. Quality matters, and this missed the mark completely. There was a piece of a feather on my chicken, the butter garlic sauce tasted terrible, and to make matters worse, the chicken wasn't even fully cooked. I really wanted this to be a win, but between the long wait, poor food quality, and basic food-safety concerns, this experience was unacceptable. I hope management takes this feedback seriously and improves, because this location has potential--but potential alone isn't enough. read more

So I was there Saturday 9/20/25 at around 11:10am. I thought I would make this another option to my routine of going to McDonalds before I go roller skating at 12p at the Rink down the street. Pulled up to the box to place my order. Young lady says "just a moment". I waited about 5 minutes for her to come back. After placing my order I pull up behind the 2 cars that were waiting for their order. Same 2 cars that were there 5 minutes ago when I was waiting to place my order. Neither car moved for 10 minutes. 15 minutes in a fast food drive thru is like a lifetime. Luckily I was able back up and get out line. Didn't know how much longer I was going to have to wait considering I had been there 15 minutes already. Yeah I rode down to my regular spot, McDonalds. P.S. This Chatham location has been closed and was suppose to reopen in April but has yet to reopen as of May 17. The corporation named Fat Brands which owned several food units did file bankrupkty and is being dissolved has sold or dissolved several of their brands for example they did dissolve their Smokey bones chain and closed all units nationwide. Several Fat Burgers were closed for poor performance as part of the liquidation and selloff. The unit is Chatham is a combo unit Fat Burger and Wing Chain that was a franchise of Fat Brands. This was a very pricey brand to be in this community. There is another location open in Orland Park in Illinois. read more

I have ordered from the menu at the Chatham location twice now and have not been disappointed. The food is always the right temperature and quality of the food is good and fresh. While there is a wait because I ordered from the drive thru, I would rather wait for good cooked food to order than a commercial drive thru location where the food is already precooked and sitting under a warmer. 5 STARS!! one of the cleanest fast food restaurants i've been to and the nicest workers ever! I went there 11/9/25 around 6:30/7 pm. Every SINGLE person there helped us in one way or another. Whether it be letting us in the bathroom taking our order or just making friendly conversation. I ordered an impossible burger with vegan cheese. the burger was beyond good one of the best vegan burgers i've had and i've been vegan for 6 years. My boyfriend got the XL burger with everything and he LOVED it. truly such a wonderful establishment with wonderful people!! HIGHLY recommend. Let's start by giving flowers. Someone who looks like everyone in Chatham took a chance in opening a well known burger restaurant for us to be able to enjoy certain conforms in our neighborhood. The only thing needed in return is our support. I tried to do just that. I no longer live in Chatham but I was raised there so I thought trying a Fatburger for the first time, not in LA but where I came from was a must have experience. Over my lifetime in Chatham, it has been landlocked to Chinese, fried chicken spots, some soul food, pepes, gyros, chips from the corner store and so on. Of course there were big name franchises around too but to common denominator, the lack of ownership by faces that mirror the ones I see when I walk out of those establishments and back into the neighborhood. My experience at Fatburger was beyond piss poor. I was mocked and rushed in the drive through by the person taking my order. Then waited 30+ minutes in line where there were but two cars ahead of me. I didn't want to risk getting cold food so I parked and came in to get my food. I waited there some more before getting my food. The fries were hot so I thought the burger would be as well. I took a bite into a cold burger as pulled away and literally turned back into the parking lot to ask for it to be replaced. The oldest person working that evening took the burger and told the another worker "he said his burger cold" which was true. From there it went downhill. The employee taking orders forgot she/they/them were responding to a customer, I shouldn't have to add this but for context nothing about my delivery, ordering was rude. I gave her/she/they/them respect and courtesy that wasn't given to any of the other paying customers. She/they/them replies "yeah your food was cold, you left. Let me tell you what time you ordered, 809pm and it 846pm". I reminded she/they/them I parked and came in but never left. Next she/they/them disrespectfully said "where the fries at"? I told her/she/they/them those weren't a problem and was told to bring them back because she/they/them wasn't giving a refund without the fries. I didn't want a refund, I wanted hot food. I asked for the burger to be remade and was told "nah because you wasting my food". That was my breaking point. Let's be clear, I am saying SUPPORT this business. To add to that, we should expect certain treatment, courtesy and service when patronizing Fatburger. In return, we should give the employees respect for their services they give to paying customers. I am saying this to the employees, we must run a business like it's a business no matter your age or title. You are a representation of that business. Treat customers like people who are sacrificing their money for that pays your salary, no matter if you think you should be paid more. You agreed to provide a service for a hourly rate, just do that. Leave all of the extra stuff elsewhere. read more

I live in Los Angeles for over 15 years and frequently a fat burger I'll give them three stars for now considering they're just opening. The prices are kinda high for some. Burger and onion rings were decent I'll come back to try again, and for Turkey & King burger. read more

My husband and I went to pick up our food and when we received it the fries were cold and they refused to replace the fries - when we asked for a refund they refused to give us one due to we placed our order online and management was rude AF, their customer service is severely lacking and we will NEVER patronize this establishment again and we will be sending a letter to the corporate office. read more

I was soooo excited about having a Fatburger within driving distance from my house. Now let me say that the burgers are delicious but the price was ridiculous. It was almost $60 for 3 burgers and 3 small fries and for that reason alone, i will not be going back any time soon. The staff was nice and they where very professional. The burger and fries were cold waited in drive thru for 45 minutes the shake has no consistency or strawberry flavor nothing but milk. The burger bun is stale and the fries are hard and cold. Burger is good but they can't follow instructions at all. I asked for no tomatoes and no mustard, and what did they put on the burger you guessed it tomatoes and mustard. The grand opening was a disaster! My car overheated in the cold waiting in the drive-thru. I eventually had to go in, which was not much better. It was utter chaos, but enough of the rough opening. After the wait, I was even less impressed with the taste compared to pricing. The burgers are a nice size, but underwhelming in taste.
