    ADIRONDACK MOUNTAIN COFFEE! AWESOME!
    Magnolia M.

Adirondack Mountain Coffee House is the perfect way to start the day. The coffee is excellent, always hot, strong, and flowing. Breakfast really hits the spot. Crunchy French toast, fluffy pancakes, and crispy flavorful home fries. The vibe is laid back, the space is cozy and welcoming. Everything you want in a mountain morning!

This place was recommended by the locals of lake placid so we decided to give it a try. Service was a little slow but they were friendly. We both got corned beef hash and poached eggs. My side of bacon was cooked perfectly and the poached eggs were as well. The only complaint was too little meat in the hash, made up with a lot of potatoes.

The full trout breakfast (home fries and apple pie not pictured--so, so much food!)

We love coming for breakfast on our family vacation because - the food is delicious - the portions are enormous - the prices are terrific - the servers are friendly - there is something for everyone Today, I got the sourdough French toast, which was perfectly light and crispy. French toast is so often eggy and dense. This was the best I've ever had--hands down! Their baked goods are fresh and tasty too, especially the strawberry muffins. Several family members always order the trout breakfast with trout, toast, home fries, eggs, and apple pie. Not only do they love it, they always have leftovers to take home! Just one little note: Be prepared for a bit of a wait when you go. The place is popular, the food is made with love, and the small wait staff is moving as fast as they can. I promise it's worth the wait!

I come to this place to eat a hearty breakfast almost every time I'm in the Adirondacks. The staff and waitresses are all so friendly and attentive. The food portions are huge and the food is always delicious. On the weekends, they only serve their breakfast menus from opening until closing at 2pm. I have gotten their blueberry pancakes with fresh blueberries, their veggie omelets, western omelet (without cheese), trout platter. The omelet dish can easily feed 2 people. The pancakes are the size of my face (no joke) and really satisfy a craving. The only thing that I have a critique on is their coffee. I know they brew large amounts at a time to feed many customers, but it is so watered down. I wish there was a a stronger brew to go along with my hearty breakfast.

Poor. Very overpriced. Danish was tasteless. Origin's coffee was superior. Won't be returning.

Everyone was friendly. My partner had the cheese omelette with rye toast. The omelette did not come with potatoes, but she did not mind at all. She liked the omelette very much, and she said that the rye bread was fabulous! She gave me a small piece, and I agree. It was delicious! I had the breakfast burrito with scrambled eggs, potatoes, and bacon. It also came with salsa and sour cream on the side. The salsa was very good, it had just a tiny "zip" to hit. They were a great addition to the burrito. The only thing, I would say about the burrito, was that the tortilla was not heated at all. It was like they took the tortilla out of the wrapper, and just put it around the food. It was a little disappointing, but overall it was still very good. My friend had Earl Gray tea, and I had coffee, which was delicious. Plus, they kept my cup full. She said that they used a good brand tea Prices were very reasonable. One thing about the place, because it is so popular, when they get busy, it is best to have patience. From the time we walked into the time we got our food it was almost a half an hour. It wasn't bad, we just visited amongst ourselves. Also, my partner kept admiring all of the beautiful photographs on the wall. It's a nice space. Apparently, the person who supplies the food for the restaurant is the photographer that took the pictures. Overall, a good meal. Thank you.

They serve all day homestyle breakfast and lunch. The breakfast menu offerings include egg dishes, bennies, omelets, pancakes French toast, Belgian waffles, hash, and breakfast sides. The lunch offerings include sandwich plates, burgers, fish & chips, quesadilla, and big salads. The prices here seem reasonable. I stopped by Rove Cafe just after 1pm when the busy period was slowing down. I walk in and I could sit at anywhere I wanted to. I sat at a table near the counter and the server promptly arrived with a menu and took my drink order (ice water). I was trying to decide between the fish & chips, mixed berries French toast (a popular item) or the country fried steak with 2 eggs. I went with the latter and it was served to me in about 12 minutes. The big plate of food had soft scrambled eggs, grilled country potatoes, a buttery toasted English muffin (Smuckers jams at table), and a Large homemade lightly breaded & pounded thin grilled beefsteak smothered with a thick sausage gravy. This breakfast was so good and very filling. As I was finishing my food, the check was presented which was $14.58 with tax and before tip. Overall, a wonderful big breakfast plate and prompt service. I would definitely recommend if you happening to be passing through the Plattsburgh area.

There's a cashier you order from, you grab a table, and then they call out your # to grab you food in to go containers. I'd wager to bet many folks prefer to hike a bit and then eat, so this makes sense to me. Prices were ok for the area. Pricing is reasonable for what you get. I ordered a chili dog which was one of the local upstate brands, so it was stellar. Wish they went lighter on the chili/cheese, but I just removed it and ate with the homemade chips. My son liked his fries, and my wife liked her food too. I wanted to get the trout I see on menus online, but it's no longer on the menu. Got a shake too which hit the spot. I'm eating this place what it deserves, which is not bad at all. What bugged me is that the reviews were off here across different platforms; folks were making this sound like a full blown restaurant, when it's just a family-owned food stop for the trail. We went out of our way so want to guide others, even if it was ok in the end. Keep your expectations in check.
