I am incredibly frustrated with my experience at Jerome's Furniture. We ordered a split king bed, and the delivery process has been a complete nightmare from the start. The order arrived timely in two days, only to find out the base for our king split bed was incomplete. Things like this happen and it's understandable. However when I talked to customer service we were connected to Jessica, who was remarkably rude and unsympathetic to our situation. We then had to sleep on the floor for another two days. Today the base arrived. So happy, but only to find out that it doesn't work. I am now dreading the quality of the merchandise we just invested in. They are not moral and honest. On May 9, 2025, I went to JEROME'S DREAM SHOP to replace my mattress. My bed base had two drawers at the foot of the bed and 10 or 8 wooden slats screwed to the wooden base on which the mattress rested. In other words, I didn't need a mattress adjuster and a Bunkie board to place the mattress on. The salesperson who helped me (BRYAN SIERRA) asked me if the base that we had at home was made of wood, where the drawers were located, and how the slats were installed on the base. I explained the way I described at the beginning of this letter. The salesperson (BRYAN SIERRA) mentioned that to get the best benefit of the new mattress, I needed to purchase a reclining base and an additional board to properly balance my weight on the mattress. For these two additional pieces of equipment to the mattress I paid the sum of $767.97. On May 13, 2025, they delivered the mattress, the adjustable base, and the wooden board that was supposed to balance the weight on the mattress. Oh, surprise! When they placed everything on the wooden base that I already had, the height I could get into bed was 3.5 feet. On May 14, 2025, I tried to contact the store by phone, but no one answered. On May 15, 2025, I went to the store in person to let them know that everything was wrong and that I needed to return the Bunkie board because I didn't need it and that they had persuade me to buy an adjustable base that I didn't need. The only salesperson in the store gave me the number I could call to file a complaint, or if not, to go in person to the store in Gardena or Carson. On May 14, 2025, I contacted the seller Brayan Sierra by phone, and after I made the complaint verbally, he told me he would speak to someone else and let me know what the decision was. Today, May 19, 2025, I emailed BRYAN SIERRA to find out the status of the claim. His email response was that the BEDDING RETURN DEPARTMENT decided not to accept any returns of the product, even though they knew the salesperson had persuaded me to buy two pieces of furniture or equipment that I didn't need. Until today on different occasions, I have contacted several people in the claims department by phone, and they have all stated that they agree that I didn't need either of the products (Bunkie board and adjustable base), but that it is beyond their control to accept returns. I request that they accept the return of the Bunkie board and refund the price paid, while also giving me a discount on the price paid for the adjustable base, which I also didn't need. This will force me to discard the original wooden base with drawers from my previous wooden bed. read more

This will teach me to check reviews before going inside a store. We purchased a queen mattress on August 15, 2023 from Susan. Left $100 deposit and got informed to pay the mattress off two days before we wanted it delivered. We completed the purchase September 20, 2023 with Brian, hopefully to have it delivered by the 23rd. We are told we'll get a text Friday with our delivery window. Friday came, no text WE reached out and were told by Susan it's not in stock and hopefully by Monday 9.25 we should receive a text with updates. Monday comes- no text. WE call, get told by Friday 9.29 we should receive a text with delivery window. No text comes- WE call again and get told the mattress is STILL not available. So I request a refund- Brian offered me the next mattress up for $700 difference or free delivery. We need a bed not excuses. He told me in the conversation he will be refunding my order and text me the information. I reached out to them because I hadn't gotten anything a few hours later- and he said 3-5 days. It is now 10.10.2023 with ENOUGH benefit of the doubt given. WE called again, they NEVER issued our refund, they only cancelled my order. I will be reporting this to the BBB because my money was held after I requested it be returned. Horrible communication, they'll keep your money and never deliver. They'll also cop an attitude and hang up when you call wondering where your refund is. AND they will keep trying to sell you after you've explicitly have asked for a refund, lowkey felt harrassed, no means no. Have a great day Susan :) this was a horrible experience. Do yourself a favor and avoid Jerome's at all costs. Starting from this location to any location. Susan Carroll illegally added a bed frame to my fiancée's credit account through Genesis AFTER we had paid for the bed frame with our debit card. I have never seen a person or company as incompetent as Jerome's - since January 23th it's now May 18th and we still can't get through to anybody by phone call or email. I'm telling all my friends, family, everyone to avoid this crap company. What a mistake it was to come here, thanks for scamming us out of $218.30 by saying we had financed that amount when we ever so clearly have sent you all proof we paid it with our debit card and bank. I went in on May 29, 2022 to make a purchase. I was told that I would get a call in 2 weeks and let me know when I would receive my furniture. It's been over 2 months now and I still have not received it. Every time I call they tell me that they will receive the furniture the following week and that it will be delivered and it never happens. I would suggest not purchasing anything other then since they obviously can't communicate with each other and do their job correctly. It's frustrating. read more

Unprofessionalism, broken promises, and lots of headaches. My experience at Jerome's has been the worst shopping experience of my life. Sales people are nice but as soon as you've made the purchase and given them your money, it's over. The word terrible doesn't even being to describe the non-existent customer service from this company. In late April, I purchased a mattress at this location and unfortunately I received the incorrect mattress. Long story short- It took over 4 weeks of waiting, 15 hours of combined hold time, 14 promised call backs that never happened, and a dispute with with my credit card company in order to get my issue resolved. The level of carelessness and incompetence is beyond belief. No one knows what's going on, customer service agents don't read their notes so every time you call you have to start from the beginning. I was even told by the customer service rep that the easiest thing to do to resolve the issue would be to keep the mattress and and get used it. Something as simple as an exchange is a painful and time consuming experience that no one should have to go through. Be prepared to deal with a headache if your item isn't right the first time. Before you purchase at Jerome's do yourself a favor and checkout out the ton of complaints on the BBB website (Better Business Bureau), Yelp, and google all saying the same thing. I wish I would have seen all the warnings before stepping into a Jerome's store. I'll be making sure all my friends and family know that Jerome's is not the place to get your furniture. Jerome's in Downey is not a furniture store. This location sells mattresses, a few pillows, and mattress protectors. Araceli, our mattress consultant, was professional yet had a warm customer service personality. She placed my order for a full spring mattress with memory foam and explained it came in a box. To forgoe the approx. $70 delivery fee, I opted to pick it up at thier Torrance location in 2 days. The sale went smoothly and Araceli let me know the 10 year warranty is voided if the mattress gets stained so I bought the least expensive protector for about $65 out of the 3 options. I haven't bought a mattress in over 18 years so I had a little anxiety when I signed the "final sale" contract. 24 hours after the sale, I called the Torrance location through their 800 number and was told the mattress was ready for pick up. The following day I drove in the rain to pick up my mattress in a box in Torrance. I arrived at the rear customer pick up, reversed my Honda CRV to thier warehouse door and got off. I was greeted by Gilbert and he asked if I had a pick up ticket, which I didn't. He directed me to the customer service desk inside and I got my pick up ticket after showing my I.D. and receipt with the order number. Gilbert made it all a breeze, I gave him the pick up ticket, he loaded my bed in a box, handed me the mattress protector and I was on my way within 20 minutes. As an overweight 50ish grandma, I was able to unpack the box and install the bed alone. Once out of the box, the mattress came in a heavy gauge plastic that I unrolled like a burrito. The second plastic was vaccuum sealed, once I cut it open about 8 inches I could hear the air immediately expand the mattress. There was no chemical smell of any sort. Once I slid the mattress out, I found no flaws. I slid it up onto the slatted bed frame with ease. The only issue I have is that the mattress is about 2 inches shorter than the frame. Not sure if it's a mattress issue or a frame issue. Overall, I had a positive experience buying a mattress at Jerome's for a reasonable price. So I walked into the store and was looking to purchase a mattress was informed that they had none available in the store so was told that I can only option was delivery so I ordered and paid for delivery with promise date of 10/24/20 between the hours of 2:45-6:46 so I agreed, Saturday morning I had my my brother come over and throw away my old mattress as I waited for my delivery (also I just had surgery so I really needed a mattress that would Assist with my healing ) .. so I waited and waited no delivery of the mattress ..so I called Saturday to find out why wasn't my mattress delivered and sad to say o was told that they never delivered the mattress because they couldn't find parking !!!! I said what are you serious that no excuse I have no mattress I Already threw mines out so I then was told they would get back with me .. I then received a phone call today 10/26/20 and told they can't deliver it until Thursday I told them that's not acceptable I can't sleep on floor.
