Avengers Assemble! Shopping for a bed usually feels like the Battle of New York... chaotic, stressful, and you just want to call in the Hulk to smash everything. But Matt at this store is basically the Captain America of sleep (meaning totally reliable and actually has a plan. He gave us an experience that was worthy of Mjolnir, not that villainous high-pressure sales tactic you get from Hydra agents at other places. He was super patient while we tried a ton of mattresses... analyzing the comfort levels like Tony Stark tweaking the Mark 85 armor until it was perfect (Iron Man rockss!) We actually planned to visit two other stores after this (exploring the Multiverse lol) but we cancelled them. Matt was that good. The Gear: We ended up buying the top of the line Tempur-Pedic and the Smart Base. * I've had Tempur-Pedic pillows since the First Avenger ( that's Cap, in case you don't recall) came out, so I knew the tech was solid. * But having the full bed + electric base? It's like sleeping in the Regeneration Cradle in Age of Ultron. Too bad I couldn't wake from that as the Vision * The sleep is deep. uninterrupted. I feel like I just came out of the ice like Cap every morning: ready to go and "I can do this all day..." Also, Matt's follow-through is legendary. This gave us an idea of which brand & type we would eventually purchase. Who knew it be so tedious & tiring searching for a bed!? When we finally decided on just getting a basic bed--meaning no bells & whistles (remote to elevate head & feet, massage), it became a much simpler task. Out of all the sales folks who tended to us with our shopping for our bed, Harry at Mattress Firm was the best fit. He had a great sense of humor & was attentive to our needs. Not only was he patient, he was also very knowledgeable & informative. Hubby & I took a while trying all of the different kinds of beds. This store had a wide selection of brands to choose from. We opted to get the Sealy King sized bed. Setting up the delivery was also easy. I've read many horror stories about delivery problems & Im glad our went without a hitch. The 2 delivery guys were respectful & professional. They delivered on time & were quick. I was worried they would leave a mess or destroy some parts of our property like what others have posted. As a young couple with a 3-month-old baby, we were thrilled (and admittedly a bit naive) when we set out to buy our first new mattress. We found one we loved but were told it was out of our budget -- however, a sales associate mentioned they had the same mattress at their outlet store for cheaper. What was never disclosed to us during the entire transaction was that it was pre-owned. We financed the mattress, thinking we were bringing home a brand new bed for our family. Fast forward a year, we now have a one-year-old who sleeps with us and we recently upgraded mattress sizes. I decided to resell the original mattress, only for the new buyer to point out that the tag clearly said it was used. That was the first time we realized we had purchased a used mattress. Only after closely reading the fine print on the receipt did we see the word "pre-owned." This was never verbally communicated to us -- not once. As new parents, if we had known, we absolutely wouldn't have bought a mattress someone else used for up to four months (as per the store's return policy). That's not something most people would feel comfortable putting their infant on. Now, I not only feel deceived, but I also have to deal with a buyer who's rightfully upset -- because I unknowingly sold them a used mattress under the assumption it was new. This has been incredibly stressful and disappointing. Lesson learned: always read the fine print, but more importantly -- businesses should be transparent and upfront when selling pre-owned products, especially something as personal as a mattress. We feel completely taken advantage of and hope others are more aware going into their purchases. read more

Went to Mattress Firm because they are one of the few companies that carry all the Purple mattress products, along with other top name brands. Jennifer was our rep and she was VERY knowledgeable about all the mattress lines they carry. She helped us try out various brands (besides Purple) with different pillows so we could feel the various differences. Almost selected a Stearns and Foster bed but went with Purple (although it was a little more expensive) because of the unique construction and their return policy. If we don't like the Purple, within 120 days we can return it FOR FREE and get our money back or exchange it for a different model. That different model could be a different Purple or the Stearns and Foster. Jennifer helped explain all that to us. Kinda takes some of the risk of not liking it out of the consideration. read more

Love the adjustable bed I purchased, but the Matress Firm install team did just o.k. , I'm writing this review because the power supply and cord also along with dangling wires under my matress was unsatisfactory to me, I called matress firm to see if they could send someone out to dress up the lose wires and power supply dangling from my bed, the guys came out and said it has to be that way, the only problem with that is, my robot sweeper goes under my bed, and catches the cord and disconnects it, so I posted a picture of how I feel it should've been installed, guys there's a reason the power supply have mounting tabs on the side of it, now I'm all set and the sweeper does its thing without any hiccups, or hang ups lol, read more

As soon as they have their money they will no longer be there to help with any questions or help you might need. At the time of purchase They offered me to add a massager on my bed. I wasn't sure if I wanted it then so he said I can call him back and they can add it. I called him back a few days later to add it and NO ONE has been able to help me. Called about 7x on different days. Left 3 messages. Even spoke to an assistant manager and NOTHING has been don't to help me. This level of service is unacceptable for the amount of money I paid on my bed. I visited a few stores and did quite a bit of research online. The Purple hype is real and the fiance was ready to get a Purple mattress. Star gave us the sales tour, pillows in hand, and did a great job introducing us to each bed, asking us the appropriate questions and having us try each bed out. Both the fiance and I found our match, the Alcove Hybrid. We muuuuch preferred it over the Purple. That's not to say Purple is bad, just not to our taste. And we never would have known that if it wasn't for Star's guidance. It felt better than the more expensive ones, tbh. Time will tell if we made the right choice. We'll obviously need to break the bed in (or break ourselves in?) and given that we chose a hybrid, it's possible we can experience sink-in, et cetera with the memory foam layers. However, I feel confident that we made the right choice and got great long-term value from the purchase. read more

I was not satisfied with my delivery experience because delivery men did not wear blue booties and roll out the red carpet to keep my home spotless. They did not ask me if they could step on a floor with their shoes without wearing blue booties as it is written on the brochure under the page of THE MATTRESS FIRM PROMISE. Since COVID-19 is becoming more serious, everyone, including me, is really edgy and really concerns about hygiene at this time. So, I called the sales associate, Jennifer D Smith at Mattress Firm Cerritos Promenade #513003, to complain her about the delivery experience. I thought she would say, "I am sorry that you had a bad experience", but rather, she was really rude to me. She yelled at me and said, "every delivery man does not wear blue booties originally", and her saying is really the opposite of what your company states on your website and brochure. As I kept complaining, she said, "oh my gosh" and did not listen to me and cut off my words. I am really upset that I did not get the delivery service that is exactly stated on your website, and even the sales associate did not acknowledge the mistake that the delivery men have made, but rather insisted her opinion, and insulted me. I've bought mattresses here 3 times in a row and three strikes I'm done!! First one I bought was a Beautyrest queen sized firm mattress; it was hard as a rock. My wife and I felt like we should have just gone outside and slept on concrete. 2nd time we gave them another chance. We bought a king sized Beautyrest medium firm matress. The damn thing started eggshell dipping on both sides. We called within 6 months to ask if we could return and were given the option of an exchange so we went with Kingsdown Eurotop plush. This was much worse. Same problem - eggshell dipping on both sides. We were told by the sales reps at Mattress Firm to rotate the mattress every 6 months. How the hell does that solve the problem? They said well maybe sleep in the middle for 15 minutes a night. Well how the hell does that stop the eggshell dipping? I'm done with these people. Commission sales reps trying to make a buck.
